Chapter 745: Drag Him Back Here If You Must
Chapter 745: Drag Him Back Here If You Must
The next day, after lunch…
Alex’s club members gathered on Princess Xenia’s airship.
The two elven princesses, Aeris and Lapiz, had also come to join them in their journey.
Though, while waiting for the sailors to finish their final maintenance, an airship pulled up right beside their own.
This airship was very familiar to Alex. It was the same airship he had boarded when he and the members of the Clawford Tribe helped protect the Town of Thaloria from the Monster Outbreak.
Standing on the deck of the ship were Cairo, Elaine, and Efa. Since their own ship still needed a few minutes to finish their preparations, Alex jumped on his magical shield and flew toward his Master and two friends.
“Master, please don’t tell me you plan on going to Hy-Brasil along with us,” Alex said in a serious tone.
“I am going,” Cairo replied. “I can’t possibly turn a blind eye to this matter. You and my sister are about to go to a dangerous place. If I don’t go with you, I’d feel anxious the entire time.”
Alex then glanced at Efa, to which the latter responded by pressing her hands together, as if asking for his forgiveness.
“Don’t blame her, Alex,” Elaine said. “Efa is just worried about you.”
“I know.” Alex sighed. “I’m not really angry. I’m just wondering how she knew of my plan to go to Hy-Brasil.”
“I’m sorry, but right now… I can’t tell you how I heard about it.” Efa chose her words carefully.
The young man scratched his head in response, knowing he wouldn’t be able to convince this group to back down.
He understood his Master’s worry of him and Lavinia, so he would definitely go whether Alex liked it or not.
As for Elaine, she seemed to be in a relationship with his Master. Since he was going, she would definitely come with him.
As for Efa, for some reason, he felt that she had changed quite a bit since the time they had separated before entering Frieden Academy.
Not only did she look more attractive right now, but she also seemed to have gained some mysterious air. It even made Alex want to strip her of her secrets.
“Why are you looking at me as if you want to take off my clothes?” Efa asked in a teasing tone.
Alex almost replied with a “because I want to see what’s underneath your clothes,” but managed to change it to a light cough instead.
“Alex, we’re ready to go.” Latifa called out to him from the deck of their airship.
“Okay!” Alex replied and bid his Master and friends goodbye.
The moment he landed back on the airship, Princess Xenia gave the command to take flight.
Soon, the airship slowly rose from the ground, only to then turn in the direction where Alex had asked them to go.
Their destination was the southwest part of the Kingdom of Faelarun, where he believed the island of Hy-Brasil would appear.
The airship of the Clawford Tribe followed right behind them, maintaining a safe distance.
After traveling for two hours, they finally arrived at the sea.
From the sky, Alex noticed a place that seemed to be covered in mist. Then and there, he deemed that they had found the right location.
“Is that where Hy-Brasil is?” Lapiz asked.
“I think so,” Alex replied.
Princess Xenia then asked the captain of the airship to descend and move as close to the fog as possible.
The airship landed on the sea after that. Then, it moved closer toward their destination.
When they were only three hundred meters away from it, the captain deemed they were already close enough and told them that going further in might make them enter the fog by mistake.
“We will wait here until night time,” Alex stated. “The island will only appear after sunset on the nights of the full moon.”
The airship of the Clawford Tribe had also landed right next to theirs.
Since Lavinia wished to talk to her brother, Alex sent her to the other ship using one of his shields.
Meanwhile, Princess Xenia, Chuck, Mary, and Eleanora seemed to be having a meeting at the corner of the ship.
The princess was not allowed to go with them to Hy-Brasil, and Chuck agreed with this idea.
He also dissuaded Mary from going with him. In the end, the only one the two ladies could rely on was Eleanora, who was going not only because of Chuck, but because her mistress, Evangeline, was going to the island as well.
“Make sure to take care of him, Eleanora,” Princess Xenia said. “Drag him back here if you must.”
“I’ll do that.” Eleanora nodded before shifting her gaze to Alex, who was currently chatting with Evangeline and Latifa. “He sure likes to drag people into trouble, huh?”
“That he does.” Princess Xenia agreed wholeheartedly. “However, Alex wouldn’t have dragged us here if the mission was impossible to complete. Plus, if he does succeed, the relationship between the Kingdom of Avalon and Faelarun would strengthen if we save their Queen.”
One of the reasons why Princess Xenia had agreed to lend them her airship in this mission was because she had grown fond of Lapiz, who was also part of their club.
Of course, she had to keep this mission a secret from her father since if this were known by many people, then things might become more complicated as politics would become involved.
Suddenly, cheers erupted from the deck of the ship.
Alex and the others turned around to see what happened, only to see Fran holding a two-meter long fish that looked like a tuna.
She had caught it using Dim Dim’s dim sum as bait, which was an excellent bait for all types of fishes.
The little bun was also very happy with the catch and was already in the process of attaching another dim sum to Fran’s fishing hook.
The crew then asked Fran if she would allow them to cut the fish and prepare them for grilling.
Of course, Fran was more than happy to agree to this plan.
Since Fran and Dim Dim caught a few more big fishes after that, they shared it with the ship from the Clawford Tribe.
The delicious smell of grilled fish soon spread across both airships, causing even the sailors, who had already eaten lunch, to unconsciously swallow their saliva.
This then turned into a seafood barbecue party, which reduced the anxiety of the people, who would soon enter Hy-Brasil to rescue Lapiz and Aeris’ mother, someone no one had seen in the past seven years.
