Chapter 744: I Was Here First

Alex decided to take a nap.

Unfortunately, the exhaustion he had been holding back for the past few days had taken that opportunity to bite him back, making him feel drowsy.

Lotte lay beside him on the bed, allowing the young man to hug her in his sleep.

After waiting for a few minutes, she, too, closed her eyes as she soon decided to enter Alex’s dream world.

However, there was one problem.

A barrier prevented her from doing what she wanted.

This wasn’t the first time this had happened. Usually, Latifa would take the lead to enter Alex’s dream world, and they would follow behind her.

Then, they would come across the same barrier every time, which forced them to bombard it with mental attacks, rushing to break it. Unfortunately, the mental barrier was sturdy.

Knowing she couldn’t handle this alone, she decided to call for backup.

As soon as Latifa received Lotte’s message, she, Lumi, and Lulu walked through the walls of Alex’s room without hesitation.

“Support me,” Latifa said before lying beside her lover and hugging him in his sleep.

Lotte, Lumi, and Lulu then linked minds with their mistress before assaulting the barrier, targeting the same spot as accurately as they could for better results.

When the mental barrier finally broke, they saw a scene that made Latifa’s tail bristle.

Alex was lying on the bed, naked, beneath a familiar girl who sat on top of him.

“Hey, could you girls fall in line?” Noelle asked, a hint of irritation on her face. “I was here first.”

This wasn’t the first time Latifa and Noelle had shared Alex’s dream. At the start, the fox lady thought that her boyfriend was dreaming of this girl every night.

Though, she eventually realized something.

Noelle didn’t act the way someone in the dream world acted.

Also, why would there be some kind of mental barrier that prevented them from entering Alex’s dream whenever she was around?

Aside from that, the fact that she seemed to have her own personality and was even actively interacting with them bothered Latifa a lot.

Alex also glanced at Latifa and the Alters. His hands were resting on Noelle’s waist, and the young lady was sitting on his stomach.

The young man knew he was dreaming and simply thought that he had conjured the ladies inside his head.

“Lulu, come,” Alex said, inviting Latifa’s mature self.

“Coming!” Lulu didn’t hesitate and went to the bed with a spring in her step.

“Hey!” Lumi immediately grabbed the Alter in return, whom Alex had invited to join him in bed. “Don’t cut in line!”

“If you want to join, then let’s go.” Lulu grinned. “What are you waiting for?”

“T-That… we can’t.” Lumi’s face reddened.

Although she was assertive and had already kissed and cuddled with Alex, anything beyond that was something she wasn’t ready to do for now.

Lotte only stood beside Latifa, wondering how things had ended up like this.

If Noelle hadn’t come, she would have spent some intimate moments with Alex in his dream.

But now that everyone was here, she was no longer in the mood for any intimacy.

Although she looked calm on the surface, she was actually very dissatisfied with how things turned out.

While Lumi held Lulu in place, Latifa had already gone to the bed to make sure that Noelle wouldn’t take advantage of her lover inside his dream.

Alex could only watch helplessly as five beautiful women sat on the bed with him. Yet, he couldn’t do anything to them because they were having a staring match with each other.

“Um, girls?” Alex decided to speak his mind. “How about we just enjoy this together?”

“No.” Latifa shook her head. “I want to do it with you, but in private.”

Lumi and Lotte subconsciously nodded in agreement.

Lulu, on the other hand, had a different opinion.

“I’m up for enjoyment,” Lulu said while gently patting Alex’s head. “It’s just… There are so many hindrances here.”

Noelle was smiling all throughout, but it didn’t reach her eyes.

She hadn’t had time to spend quality time with Alex since she had been busy recently.

Then, finally, she managed to clear a long enough stretch of free time.

Yet, just when the mood was about to heat up, some gatecrashers appeared and ruined her romantic tryst with Alex.

In the end, she just settled into cuddling with Alex while lying on the bed.

A few hours later, Alex woke up from his nap and quickly realized that Latifa and Lotte were both lying on the bed with him.

‘No wonder I dreamt about them a while ago,’ Alex thought.

He thought that the presence of the two ladies by his side was enough for his subconscious mind to bring them to his dream world as well.

“Are you awake?” Latifa asked the moment she felt her lover stir on the bed.

“Yes,” Alex replied. “I had a good dream.”

“Mmm…” Latifa had no intention of telling Alex that they had intruded upon his dream and simply kissed his cheek in response.

Alex returned her kiss before getting up from the bed.

Lotte had also taken that moment to ‘wake up’ as well, and told Alex that Princess Xenia had asked her to pass on a message to him.

“It’s about the trip that we plan on doing tomorrow,” Lotte said. “She said her godfather was opposed to the idea of letting her go to Hy-Brasil with us. Still, her guardian agreed to bring us as close to the island as possible.”

“Fair enough.” Alex nodded. “Very well. I will go and talk to her.”

Earlier, Aeris and Lapiz had asked to talk to him in private after dinner, so he also planned to talk to them about their trip in the morning.

But just as he was about to leave the room, a hand reached out to grab the sleeve of his shirt.

When he looked behind him, he saw Lotte standing there while looking downward.

“I… I’m sorry,” Lotte said. “I didn’t know why I did… Mmhh…”

Alex gently cupped her face at the sight and made her look at him. A second later, he pressed his lips over Lotte’s, kissing her softly.

Even without saying anything, he felt that she was exuding an aura of loneliness. So, he decided to take the initiative to give her a kiss.

A kiss which Lotte accepted graciously.

When the kiss ended, Alex hugged her and lightly patted her head.

“Do not hesitate to tell me what you think, Lotte,” Alex said calmly. “You are also very precious to me. Besides, I’m more than glad that you are finally opening up to me. Although we can’t always be together, I’ll be here when you need me, okay?”

“Un.” Lotte nodded before resting her head on Alex’s chest, feeling calm as he held her close.

Latifa watched this from the bed with a smile on her face. She wanted Alex to also be close with her Alters since they were a part of her.

Though, until the day that she and Alex took that next step in their relationship, she decided to have a talk with her Alters to make sure that they wouldn’t skip past her in the queue.

After pampering Lotte for a while, Alex finally left the room.

Tomorrow would be the day when they would head to Hy-Brasil.

He hoped beyond hope that they would all return safely and not leave anyone behind on the island that was shrouded in mystery and danger.
