Chapter 807: Rewards And A Shocking Discovery

As soon as time started flowing normally, Alex’s friends found themselves back in their original bodies.

It was then that Queen Elaris, whom Aeris and Lapiz were holding, suddenly looked around her as if seeing the world once more after having fallen into a deep sleep.

“You two ladies look familiar…” Queen Elaris said as he looked at Aeris and Lapiz. “Have we met before?”

“”Mother!””

The two young ladies couldn’t hold themselves back when they realized that their mother had been freed from the control of the Synchronization Rate. Seeing that she was finally remembering her former self, they were overcame with happiness.

Even Aeris, who prided herself on having strong willpower, failed to stop herself from crying as she held onto her mother tightly.

“M-Mother?” Queen Elaris blinked once, then twice, before realization dawned upon her. “Wait… the two of you are my daughters?!”

Aeris and Lapiz pulled back and looked at their mother with tears streaming down her face. They had waited for this moment for a very long time.

“Aeris… Lapiz,” Queen Elaris said softly as she caressed the faces of her two daughters. “The two of you have grown ‌into fine ladies.”

She then pulled her two daughters close to her, hugging them tightly as the tears in her eyes fell like rain. It had been years since she last saw them, and now, both of them were all grown up.

“I’m sorry…” Queen Elaris said through sobs. “I selfishly left you both. I wasn’t there to watch the two of you grow up. What about Kaelen? How is he? Is he safe? Why is he not here?”

“Calm down, Mother,” Aeris replied. “Kaelen is safe. Father is also well. Both of them miss you very much.”

“Mother, I am really happy to see you again,” Lapiz cried as she hugged her mother even more tightly. “Please don’t leave us again.”

Queen Elaris apologized over and over again as she held her two daughters in her loving embrace.

Latifa, Lavinia, Fran, Evangeline, Chuck, Eleanora, Renard, Charles, Nessia, Evangeline, and Vaan looked at this scene with smiles on their faces.

All of them decided that it would be best to give the elves some time to sort out their feelings.

Just then, Latifa clutched her chest, feeling intense pain all of a sudden.

Seeing her pained expression, Fran, Nessia, and Lavinia hurried to her side.

“What’s wrong? Latifa?” Fran asked. “Are you alright?”

“S-Something is about to be bor…” Latifa wasn’t able to finish whatever she was going to say because a surge of power soon washed over her body, pushing it to the limit.

The fox lady then let out a soundless scream as all of her tails started glowing. Right now, Latifa had four tails that represented herself, Lotte, Lumi, and Lulu.

But then, something shifted.

A fifth tail had manifested behind her back.

A moment later, three of those five tails turned into particles of light and manifested beside Latifa.

Lotte, Lumi, and Lulu, who had disappeared after they entered Hy-Brasil, finally showed themselves.

After all three of her Alters manifested, Latifa lost consciousness.

Lotte and Lumi hurriedly supported her body, while Lulu looked at the two tails behind her Master’s back.

One of those tails represented Latifa, while the other represented another Alter that had yet to manifest.

Based on the order of things, Latifa’s fifth tail could only mean one thing.

“Lala…” Lulu said softly, as if remembering the little girl who appeared before them briefly in the past.

Lotte and Lumi were also thinking of the same thing, but this wasn’t supposed to happen anytime soon.

After all, Latifa had just given birth to Lulu. Creating another Alter shouldn’t be possible because their master needed to become Rank 5 first before it happened.

Nevertheless, the fact that a fifth tail had appeared was proof that Latifa had indeed broken into Rank 5.

Just as Latifa finally quietened, everyone around them began to clutch their chests, experiencing the same intense pain wash over their bodies.

“C-Could it be?” Lumi looked at her club members with a serious expression.

A moment later, the air around them began to tremble.

Without any warning, powerful gusts of wind emanated from the bodies of Alex’s club members.

Their clothes and hair fluttered violently as waves of invisible energy surged outward.

Beneath their feet, the ground cracked, unable to withstand the sheer amount of power released by their bodies.

One by one, except for Fran, everyone broke through to the next level.

Renard and Charles both became Rank 6.

While the rest finally broke through to Rank 5.

As for Fran, she was still Rank 6. However, her physical and fighting prowess had drastically improved from before, which meant that she was only half a step away from becoming a Rank 7 powerhouse!

One by one, the teenagers collapsed on the ground.

Aeris and Lapiz were also affected by the sudden changes, and the two elves soon fainted in their mother’s arms.

Aeris’ rank had gone up to Rank 6, while Lapiz’s rank rose from Rank 3 to Rank 5.

The power-up was merely one of the many rewards The Hermit had bestowed upon them for completing his trial.

He had also prepared other rewards that would allow the youngsters, whom he believed to be the hope of the next generation, to overcome the challenges they would face in the future.

Queen Elaris gently laid her two unconscious daughters down on the ground. She could tell that they would wake up shortly, so she decided to just watch over them for now.

It was then that her memories of serving as the Palace’s Head Maid flooded inside her mind.

The influx of information gave her a headache, but this much was something she could still handle.

After absorbing all the memories, Queen Elaris suddenly remembered something important.

Soon, she scanned the surroundings, looking for someone.

“A-Alex Stratos…” Queen Elaris’ face turned pale after remembering she had presented her two daughters to the young man as his concubines.

Of course, she understood that the young man and her two daughters weren’t at fault. Of course, she understood that they must’ve been under the influence of the same power that overtook her senses when she was first trapped on the island of Hy-Brasil. Of course, she genuinely understood.

However, what was done was done.

There was simply no way for her to turn a blind eye toward something that she remembered.

In the end, Queen Elaris came to a decision.

Since Alex had already embraced Aeris and Lapiz, it was only fair for him to take responsibility for the two of them.

But if Alex had no intention of taking responsibility for her daughters, then Queen Elaris would personally make sure that he understood the consequences of his actions.

After all, she was still the Queen of the Elves. That being so, she had more than enough authority to make Alex pay for abandoning her two precious princesses after taking their innocence.

She would even personally hunt him down and drag him back by the ear if necessary, because there was absolutely no way she would allow the man who had embraced her daughters to simply walk away like nothing ever happened.
