Chapter 806: Enough Power To Knock Down A Mountain
“Looks like your gamble paid off,” King Aetherion said to the Hermit, who had frozen time and space to speak with the Will the king had left behind in Hy-Brasil.
The Hermit shook his head.
He hadn’t gotten the result he wanted.
The ideal ending would have been for King Aetherion and his Dragon Queen to annihilate the invaders.
And that wish didn’t come to pass.
The two uninvited guests he couldn’t kick out of his domain had intervened at the last moment, overturning the Hermit’s grand plan. One he had spent decades carefully preparing.
The people from Reverse Arcana had managed to escape their fate because of that.
Fortunately, it would no longer be possible for these invaders to return to Hy-Brasil, let alone turn it into their base of operations.
The Hermit then shifted his attention toward Alex’s friends, who also remained frozen in time.
Hy-Brasil had already served its purpose.
There was no longer any reason for him to keep them trapped on the island.
Suddenly, a massive silver gate appeared within the mountain overlooking the Kingdom of Faelarun.
When the gate opened, a Silver Dragon bound in chains emerged from within.
“You’ve worked hard, My Love,” The Hermit said softly as he flew toward the dragon that had been imprisoned for decades.
“I was lonely,” Queen Elyndra replied. “Plus, constantly being drained of my strength to keep Hy-Brasil hidden from the world was extremely painful.”
“I have wronged you.”
The Hermit gently caressed the dragon’s cheek.
“I’m sorry.”
A helpless sigh escaped the Silver Dragon’s lips.
She understood that her beloved had no choice but to do this for the sake of the world.
King Aetherion and his Queen slowly closed their eyes.
Then, a glowing orb of light emerged from each of their chests.
The two orbs flew toward the Hermit and the Silver Dragon before merging back into their bodies.
They were the Wills that the two of them had left behind as a backup plan, ensuring that the invaders would never be able to win regardless of what they did.
They had each shared a portion of their strength, allowing anyone who took control of the temporary bodies that they had created in Hy-Brasil to wield the power of a Rank 9 powerhouse once the secret condition was fulfilled.
That condition was simple.
King Aetherion and Ganelon had to be present at Everdawn City.
With the two strongest elves of that era working together, they could overcome any army that invaded their world.
And it worked…
Well, it would have worked exactly as the Hermit had intended if not for the two unexpected guests who had ruined everything at the last moment.
A sigh escaped the Hermit’s lips as he looked at Alex and Astrea, who had already returned to their original forms.
Both were currently unconscious, floating in the sky.
The Silver Dragon transformed into her human form before flying toward Astrea and gently embracing her.
“It seems that even after we left the mortal world to their own devices, some things haven’t changed,” Queen Elyndra said softly. “My descendants are still doing their part.”
“Indeed.”
The Hermit appeared beside the unconscious Alex. “But this child has suffered a lot.”
“He doesn’t look like you, though.” Queen Elyndra smirked. “Even though he is your descendant, he has lived a hard life. Then again, he still managed to inherit something from you.”
“And what is that?”
“He attracts all sorts of trouble…”
She paused.
“…and women.”
The Hermit coughed lightly at that.
He couldn’t refute those words.
After all, when he had still been a mortal, his harem had numbered in the triple digits…
An awkward silence soon fell between the two powerful beings that had helped protect the world from forces very few people even knew existed.
They were unsung heroes who had sacrificed countless things for the sake of the world.
Yet, no one would ever hear their names, nor would songs of praise ever be written in their honor.
However, neither of them desired such accolades.
The only thing they wished for was the continuation of their posterity. That their descendants grow stronger and take over their mission of protecting the world.
“You should reward them properly,” Queen Elyndra said seriously.
“Of course,” The Hermit replied. “After all, they still have many things to do.”
Queen Elyndra then glanced at the ladies who had relationships with Alex.
It was then that a thought crossed her mind.
“Hmph… since my descendant is this young man’s Promised One, I should give her a little help.”
Queen Elyndra then took out a vial from her storage ring before pouring three drops of its contents into Astrea’s mouth.
The Hermit blinked once.
Then twice.
He immediately recognized the contents of the vial.
It was the same potion the Dragon Queen had used on him back then.
“M-My Love, don’t you think this is something that we shouldn’t force?”
The Hermit tried to protect his descendant.
However, a single glare from his wife was enough to make the Deity of Arcana present the unconscious Alex without resistance.
“There’s nothing wrong with what I’m doing.”
Queen Elyndra poured another three drops of the potion into Alex’s mouth.
“It’s called the Yin Yang Booster Tonic. I’m merely giving our descendants a boost. From what I can see, the two of them just need a little more push to truly seal the deal.”
“What you’ve given them is not a little push,” the Hermit commented. “If anything, you gave them enough power to knock down a mountain.”
Queen Elyndra smiled innocently in response.
“Both of them need to work hard if he wishes to knock her up. Don’t you agree? I’m just being nice.”
The Hermit fell silent at those words.
Suddenly, he began to feel sorry for his descendant.
The Dragon Queen then formed several hand seals, causing a silver gate to appear before her.
The unconscious Alex and Astrea were then immediately sucked into the gate.
“Now, time to give the little ones some private time.”
Queen Elyndra smirked as she personally closed the gate with both hands.
“What about them?” The Hermit asked, pointing at Alex’s other companions.
“What else?”
Queen Elyndra shrugged.
“Free them and give them the appropriate rewards. They can stay in Hy-Brasil for a while. It won’t go anywhere as long as we’re here.”
“And what shall I tell them if they look for Alex?” The Hermit asked.
“Hmm…”
Queen Elyndra pondered for a moment before a mischievous smile appeared on her face.
“Tell them the truth. Tell them that Alex won’t be appearing until he succeeds in knocking up my descendant. After all, it takes Dragons five years to give birth to a child.”
After saying those words, Queen Elyndra flew toward the palace to rest.
Her power had allowed the fake Kingdom of Faelarun to manifest, giving her complete control over the island.
With that, she decided to spend the next few days resting and recovering her strength.
Meanwhile, Alex’s companions had no choice but to remain in Hy-Brasil and wait for his return.
None of them knew where the Dragon Queen had sent Alex and Astrea, nor did they know how long it would take before the two of them came back.
In the meantime, somewhere on the island of Hy-Brasil, Alex and Astrea finally woke up.
Inside a secluded chamber, the effects of the Yin Yang Booster Tonic had already begun to take effect.
And judging from the young lady’s soft moans coming from inside the chamber, Alex and Astrea were going to be very busy for the next few days.
