Chapter 2195: A New Disciple

"Alright, I’ll bring him with me for now, I’ll come back later with him," Drake said.

"Sure thing, have a nice travel," Ran nodded, as Drake stepped back to the Divine Realm.

While in there, Triton naturally returned to his Dragonoid Form, which resembled mostly a Merman with more scales and a dragon tail.

At that moment, the boy woke up as well, looking a little confused.

"Huh? Where am I? What happened?"

"You fought pretty well; you don’t have to move if you don’t want to."

"Ugh... No! I can walk!"

Triton angrily escaped Drake’s arms, as he stumbled to the floor and couldn’t even stand up due to a lack of balance, he was still dizzy.

"Ouch..."

"Hey, don’t be like that, I am your uncle now, right? Come on, you were fantastic there, Triton."

"Eh? I was? Wait, you’re not my uncle!"

"Hahaha! You unlocked a new form and everything, you seriously don’t remember that?"

"I don’t..."

"Well, plenty of time for you to learn then, let’s go. Are you hungry?"

"I am... Do you have food?"

"Sure, I’ll treat you to a feast. And while we are at it, you’ll meet my family! ...Well, you knew them already I guess."

"I do... Benladra and Kate and Drakda... they’re nice to me."

"They are right? Are you their friends?"

"I... don’t know..."

"You’ll be their good friend pretty fast; there’s no friendlier dragons out there than my pups."

"Hmm..."

Triton was still quite worried and weirded about things, but he did feel strangely more powerful now, his abilities had been "unlocked" and unlike before, where it felt like he only had a limited amount of power, he felt like he was overflowing with energy.

"Hello family! I’m back, I hope that not too late?" Drake said.

"Ah, Drake! There you are," Benladann said.

"Where were you?" Miranda asked.

"Sorry, sorry, I was with Triton somewhere else," Drake explained. "Well, in the Sea Dragon Realm, ah right! Triton! I bought him over. He’ll be living with us for the duration of his training..."

"So you’ve finally picked him up, huh?" Yuki wondered. "Androemda why didn’t you tell us? You can see everything he does and everywhere he goes!"

"I do but it would be boring if I told you everything, where would the surprise be?" Andromeda giggled.

"Hey Triton, come here! Sit with us!" Benladra said.

"Yeah, come eat," Kate nodded.

"Heeeey! Let’s spar later! You feel super strong now! What happened to you?" Drakda wondered.

Triton shyly walked towards the kids, sitting between Benladra and Drakda.

"Um... I don’t know, I had a spar with your father in the Sea Dragon Realm and... I went all-out, and I think something inside of me broke, and then awakened... it feels weird," Triton said. "Like there’s... another me inside of me? I don’t know how to explain it."

"Like an Archetype?" Kate asked.

"What’s that?" Triton was confused.

"It’s nothing like that," Drake explained. "But it might feel similar, no... Triton, I’ll explain to you what you truly are now, and the form you awakened back then... Ah, where’s Amethyst at?"

"She’s still sleeping," Yuki shrugged.

"Go figures, well, let’s make sure to save some food for her once she wakes up," Drake nodded. "Anyway, Triton, let me serve you. What do you want to eat today? I’ve got eggs, meat, fish, veggies, fruits, cereal, milk, pastries, cakes, doughnuts, pancakes, waffles, even ice cream if you want... Ah right I’ve got flan too, milkshakes, and more."

"Ummm..." Triton was shocked of the variety of food. "Uh... Whatever Benladra is having..."

"Ah, alright! Eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, the usual, sure thing!" Drake nodded. "You should drink some milk too, we extract it from the Divine Grass Cows, their milk is rich in calcium for your bones, scales, fangs, claws, and horns. You need lots of calcium to stay tough and sharp, you know?"

"Fineeee..." Triton rolled his eyes.

However, when he drank the milk, which was chocolate flavored, his eyes widened, he had never tasted this combination before and was amazed by it.

"Oooh! This is not bad!"

He ended up drinking a whole bottle of chocolate milk, and then he ate the rest happily as well, he really liked the bacon and ended up asking for some more, while eating all the sweets as well. He didn’t quite like the eggs though, but he still ate them all anyway.

"Ugh, what with all the commotion this morning?"

Amethyst woke up half an hour later, walking into the scene while being half-naked, making Triton blush as he saw such a pretty Dragonoid girl.

"Huh? Who’s this brat?" Amethyst raised an eyebrow.

"W-Why are you walking around naked?!" Triton cried, covering his face.

"Hm?" Amethyst raised an eyebrow.

"It’s a long story but let me explain it to you as quickly as I can," Drake said. "Come sit down and eat, we’re still not done."

"Ah... okay," Amethyst nodded.

Like that, Drake explained things out to her, and Amethyst finally got to meet Triton, while Triton also learned about her. Amethyst had a pretty bad first impression of the boy, mostly because he seemed like a spoiled brat more than anything else.

Meanwhile Triton seemed mostly neutral, if anything he thought she was pretty, but his heart was still with Eleanor, the girl he liked from back home.

Drake was a little disappointed honestly, as both had a little bit of an awkward atmosphere when put together, it would take time for them to cooperate.

"You’re both now part of the family and my group, so I hope you can start getting along, alright?" Drake asked them.

After breakfast, they moved outside of the castle, into a vast desert, where he wanted both of his new disciples to spar, and so he could more easily gauge how strong they were now.

"Along? With this dumb brat?" Amethyst raised an eyebrow. "I didn’t even know him an hour ago."

"Hey, stop calling me dumb and brat! That you’re pretty doesn’t mean you get to be mean with other people!" Triton said angrily, even though he was quite mean to Drake.
