Chapter 2237: Augustus’ Skills

Chapter 2237: Augustus’ Skills

"Impossible...! Can it continue transforming?! And this one is a completely different weapon. It even has a different soul!" he laughed. "Hahahaha! How fascinating! So interesting! In all my years, I had never seen something quite like this... and made by someone other than me?! To think I would one day find someone worthy of becoming my disciple..."

"Wait, what? Disciple?!" I gasped.

"I had many when I was a mortal and even as a god, but when I became a Venerable, my skills were simply too high, and so were my standards. I died without finding a disciple for my arts," he sighed. "But you, Drake, if you made something like this... you’re definitely someone worthy!"

"Surtr would be more worthy. He’s even better!" I said, trying to stop him.

I really didn’t want to become his disciple. I didn’t want to spend weeks learning from him! I had no time to waste on this stuff.

"Hmmm, fine, we can leave that for later, once everything is over," he smiled. "For now, I’ll do the heavy lifting, but if we can manage to save this world, you and that kid will become my disciples, you heard me?!"

"Fine..." I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, I wanted to show you this so you could do something to make them tougher and stronger."

"I can," he nodded. "I do have a lot of materials that could go with this... but the best way is not to forge the transformed states, but the original weapons themselves."

"Skadi, Uller, Hephaestus, and Adelle?" I asked.

"Yes, they’re living weapons as well, so that’s very interesting too," he nodded. "Let me forge them with new power. Also, there’s that Demonic Axe you’ve got, made of bones and reinforced with other demonic steels. I see you use that to further evolve Celestia into Muramasa. Let me have a hand with that too."

"Can you handle it? It’s a weapon from a Demon I stole. It has grown with me by eating souls, but it doesn’t work like the other weapons..." I said, concerned.

"Are you worried for me?! Don’t make me laugh. This is nothing!" he laughed. "I will show you just how good I am at this... Demon or Chaos Materials are already things I had mastered long ago."

"Fine then," I nodded. "Here... You four better behave with him, just obey him, okay?"

"Fine..." Skadi said.

"Are we finally getting upgrades?!" Uller asked.

"It feels like it has been ages! Also, can’t you let me meet Aquarius’ child every now and then?" Adelle asked.

"Right, you were his weapon..." I nodded. "Now I feel like I should let Triton have you, but without you, I can’t have Celestia or Muramasa..."

I felt a little conflicted there.

"You want new weapons? I can make them too if you pay the fee," he said. "I saw the Dragon kids you’re raising too, your children and your apprentices. You’ve made some weapons for some, but I’m sure they could benefit from new ones. They got strange powers that can manifest weapons, right?"

"Yeah, but not Triton exactly... I mean, he technically can, but they break easily," I said. "It’s complicated..."

I didn’t want to tell him about the Archetypes for now, if possible.

And well, having an additional weapon is never wrong, even with Archetype Weapons.

They can stack or even fuse, so it’s not an overlapping problem.

"Sure, but how much would that even cost?" I asked. "And what fee are you asking for?"

"Ascendancy Law Essence and also other Treasures," he said. "But for now, to reforge and improve your current weapons to Venerable level, it’ll be... Hmm, one billion each, four billion total. And I’ll ask for four pieces of your biggest treasures, nothing too big. I don’t want you to become weak."

"Are you sure you don’t want me to become weak? You’re just asking me a ridiculous amount!" I said angrily. "I don’t think I can fulfill that request right away..."

"It’s fine, it’ll add to the tab in our contracts," he said. "You can pay later once you get more energy to spare."

"Hmm... sure," I sighed. "But you better not trick or scam me..."

"Hahahah! I don’t think I can, even if I wanted," he laughed. "At least you can give me the materials, right?"

"I could, wait here," I said.

I gave him very small pieces of them, though, like the size of my own palm.

He was satisfied, even if they were so small, and nodded happily.

But what does he want to do with these, though?

Store them?

"Alright, thank you. With this, I can finally begin," he smiled.

"Wait, you’re using them on my own weapons?" I asked.

"Yeah, consider this my hobby too. I like using new materials," he smiled viciously. "This Divine Realm is fine too! How about I do the same thing those women did? I’ll spread a part of mine here and fuse it with yours. This way, you’ll trust me more, right?"

"Huh? Sure..." I muttered as he quickly did just that, expanding my Divine Realm even more.

"Done! Now let’s see, my forge! There!" he said as a giant mountain emerged, making the world tremble. Its interior blazed with flames, and as he flew inside, I could already hear the sound of a powerful hammer beating down on metal and the moans of pleasure from my weapons... yeah, I better omit that.

"Well, he’ll be busy all night. I better just go to sleep," I yawned as I quickly stepped out of my Divine Realm.

I made my way back to the castle, where I found Benladann and Miranda still waiting for me, with slightly angry frowns.

"I’m sorry, I... I had to do a lot," I apologized. "But you did well waiting for me. I’m really in the mood right now. I’ll make you feel really good. I’ll do anything you ask."

"Anything~?" Benladann smiled coquettishly.

"Alright~ I like that~" Miranda giggled mischievously.

"I hope you don’t mind me joining in the fun~" Andromeda sat on the bed, crossing her legs sexily.

Goddamn, this is going to be a really long night...
