Surtr kept hugging her as Lucia hugged him back. Eventually, a few people walked toward them after noticing Surtr’s presence.

"Papaaaaa!"

"Daddy?"

It was a pair of adorable baby dragons, half fire giant and half fire dragon, running toward Surtr while calling him papa and daddy.

Lucia gasped as she saw the two precious children clinging to his legs, hiding behind him as they looked at her timidly.

"Aah, there you are!" he said happily.

"Papa, who is she?"

"Who?"

"Hehh! She is your aunt!" Surtr laughed. "Lucia, these are my kids, Mirtr, son of Mina, and Sudiartr, daughter of Nadia."

"Auntie?!"

"Auntie Lucia?"

"Y-Yeah, I’m your aunt..." Lucia said. "Oh my god, they’re so cute...! They’re really your kids?"

"Yeah," Surtr laughed as he quickly grabbed the two of them, carrying them in his arms. "How about you greet your auntie?"

"Oooh, hi...!" Mirtr said.

"Hello..." Sudiartr muttered.

"Hi!" Lucia smiled. "Both of you are lovely... Where are your moms at?"

"We’re here."

"You’re really Surtr’s sister? But I thought he was a dragon?"

Suddenly, Lucia saw two tall figures looming over her, their shadows covering her. They were two very muscular female warriors similar to Benladann, but with red skin instead of blue skin.

They were Surtr’s wives, Mina and Nadia, both Fire Giants who had raised Surtr since he hatched from his egg.

Mostly because Mina had accidentally poured a lot of Mana into the egg, which was an ancient, fossilized egg, finally giving Surtr the last amount of power needed to hatch.

"Ahh, I am..." Lucia muttered. "Y-You must be Mina and Nadia? My brother’s... wives...?"

"Yeah," Nadia said, patting Surtr’s head. "He’s a good husband."

"He is a very lovely man!" Mina giggled, hugging Surtr. "But where did you even come from? Are you a dragon in disguise?"

"No, well, it’s complicated... I think we’ve got a lot to catch up on... Shall we talk while having a meal?" Surtr asked. "Come along, sister. I’m sure you’ll love the endemic food here."

"Eh? S-Sure..." Lucia nodded. "Thank you for your hospitality."

Lucia ended up spending much more time than she imagined there. Meanwhile, back in the Vanagate Kingdom, Drake and his family explained to the king and queen that they were already moving out. . . . "You’re leaving already?!"

"S-So soon?! Won’t you stay for at least a week? Take it easy...!"

The king and queen begged us to stay longer in their kingdom.

And perhaps in any other situation, I would have happily agreed to their offer and taken it easy.

But I can no longer take it as easily as I wished I could.

After Pandemonium and Chaos’s battle, something in the entire world was set off to begin.

The beginning of the end, as some may say.

I don’t know if this was also the act of Fate or if someone had planned this battle to trigger this world’s collapse.

But right now, we cannot waste more time.

We already spent a whole day here. That’s more than enough.

Even by using the bridge’s route, it’ll still take us another day to get to our destination.

That’ll be a bit over a week inside my Divine Realm.

Though, I think I can push it as far as two weeks now that I’ve grown pretty strong.

That would be enough to train Amethyst, Triton, and everyone else a bit more before facing off against Sangre and whatever else awaits us on the other side of the world.

"I am really sorry. Perhaps in any other circumstance, I would’ve stayed here and taken a week off happily," I said. "But I really cannot. The world is in peril right now, and we need to move quickly, or there will be nobody left to save it."

"I-Is that so..." the king muttered, taken aback.

"You’re very brave... I am quite honored that my daughter became your companion," the queen smiled. "Charlotte, you may go if you want to... your powers are, after all, needed."

"Mother..." Charlotte felt surprised. "I’m also a little annoyed. I wished I could stay here for longer, but Drake’s not wrong... the world is in peril. Please, if my abilities can be of any help, let me go with you."

"Alright then," I nodded. "It wouldn’t be the same without our Captain, after all. Fuyu would miss you."

"Fuyu... yes, we’ve become great friends through all this time," Charlotte giggled. "Alright then, mother, father... I’m off. I’ll come back with good news once the world is finally safe."

"Godspeed, my daughter," the king said.

"We are... we are proud of you," the queen said as the king nodded.

"Thank you... You don’t know how much that means to me..." Charlotte shed a little tear, gripping her fists. "Ugh! Whatever!"

She ended up forgetting about manners, running toward her parents and hugging both of them at the same time. Their thrones were stuck to one another, so it was easy for her to do it.

"C-Charlotte?!"

"Dear...?!"

Both were surprised that she hugged them tightly and then kissed their foreheads.

"Alright, that’s all I needed... I love you both, even with all the difficulties we faced... you’re still my dear parents!" Charlotte smiled.

The king and queen felt their hearts melt.

Since when did they have such a beautiful and adorable daughter?

No, they always had her.

They had just forgotten all of that, obsessed with politics and "saving face" within their kingdom and the nobles.

Or that’s what I believe, and what I can gauge from seeing their expressions.

"We love you too..." her father said.

"Yes, we do..." her mother said.

Her parents hugged her back, and I couldn’t help but smile a little. It was a very cute showcase that dwarven families, despite all their disputes, always cared for each other in the end.

Charlotte was also from Earth, a Reincarnator like me, but someone who never really talked much about her previous life, mostly because this life she was living now was simply miles better.

Her new family, this wonderful world, and her new friends, I think she loved them all.

"I’ll come back soon!" Charlotte said. "Drake, let’s get moving!"

"Alright then!" I laughed. "Let’s go."
