Chapter 1084: World's Best Spiritualist
Chapter 1084: World's Best Spiritualist
By the time Rudy woke up, Kaguya and Vida had cleaned the store. They rearranged almost half of the shop because Kaguya instructed her.
"What's… going on…" Rudy asked with a confused look on his face as he glanced around. "How long was I out for?"
Vida looked at Rudy with a sad look on her face and responded, "It's been three months."
"...!" Rudy wouldn't have believed her otherwise, but the interior of the store was looking different from he had last seen.
At the same time, Kaguya came into Rudy's sight and playfully nudged Vida. She smiled at Rudy and said, "Don't worry, it has only been an hour."
"Argh…" Rudy grabbed his head and grunted a little. "My head hurts. It feels like someone is pulling the nerves from inside."
"Kaguya, bring the healing potion."
"No, it's okay." Rudy sat up and fixed the towel. "Can you bring me my clothes?"
"Are you sure you are okay? Your head will hurt for a few hours, so it would be better if you drink the healing potion. That would help it calm down a little." Vida handed the clothes to him.
"Can you both turn the other way around?"
"Of course." Vida and Kaguya turned around, but they could still see Rudy's reflection in the mirrors in the store.
Rudy was aware of it, and he didn't care. He couldn't ask them to leave the store or close their eyes. If they wanted to see him naked, it was their choice. Although they had already seen him multiple times.
Once Rudy was done, he asked for a glass of water.
While drinking, he inquired, "Did something go wrong? I still don't have my sealed memories."
"I will tell you everything." Kaguya stepped forward.
She first explained how it all worked and what were the do's and don'ts. She further explained the taboos and continued telling him everything. She answered all of Rudy's questions until he was satisfied with the explanation.
He looked at Vida and uttered, "Looks like I put you in danger."
"That wasn't your fault. It comes under my responsibility. Of course, if anything were to happen to you, I wouldn't take the blame. I am responsible for whatever happens to me and you are for yours."
"I like that." Rudy nodded with a chuckle. "Is there no way to get my memories back?"
Vida shook her head and responded, "We don't know the cause of the black flame. If we don't know why that happens, we can't find a solution, either."
Rudy pondered for a moment and asked, "What if I know a way to unseal the memories?"
Vida raised her brow and squinted her eyes with a confused look on her face.
"If you knew… why would you come to me…?"
"The process I know is tedious and risky. I can never fully remember everything and I won't know how much of my memories are still sealed. I want a better and faster way to do that."
"Well… since it's possible, there is…" Vida slowed down on her words and glanced at Kaguya. "There is a well-known spiritualist who might be able to help you."
Although Rudy was a bit surprised to see Vida recommend another spiritualist, he couldn't care less about the reason.
"Great. Where can I find them?"
"That's what's problematic. They don't take patients."
"Are they retired or something?" Rudy wondered. As long as Rudy could have the address of the person, he could find a way to convince them.
"She is the best spiritualist in the world."
"Oh! I get it. Their fees must be high and since she is popular, she must be booked for months."
"No. She doesn't charge anything, and she doesn't take advance booking either." Vida pulled a chair and sat on it, as though it was going to be a long conversation.
Kaguya did the same and listened attentively.
According to Vida, the spiritualist selects her patients randomly and sends them a card, where her camp will be held. She comes twice a month and only treats three customers.
"How to apply for the… selection?"
"Referrals."
Rudy took a moment to think and asked, "What if I crash into the camp without the invitation?"
"Doesn't work." Vida shook her head. "You won't be able to find the camp."
"What if, suppose, Kaguya gets the card, and she tells me the location of the camp?"
"You won't be able to see the camp even if it's in front of your eyes. Many people tried doing it, but it didn't work. Even if the person with the card holds your hand and takes you into the camp, you won't see a thing. And the person who got the card will be punished by her. She uses top tier illusion magic."
Rudy felt frustrated. The spiritualist was now the only person who could help Rudy, but she seemed out of reach.
'Let's think about it. I have super powers and use them however you want. What if I somehow manage to hack into all the satellites at once and find her location? But… what Vida said is true, that means I won't be able to see the camp.
Wait, if I use my supervision, I might be able to find her. However, it wouldn't work with satellite view. Does that mean I have to roam around the entire city to… wait…'
Rudy turned to Vida and asked, "Where was her last camp?"
"It was in London."
"Fuck! Does that mean she randomly pops up and sets her camp anywhere in the world?"
Vida nodded in response.
'So I have to travel the entire world to have the slightest chance of encountering her?'
"Is the date the same every month?"
"Well, she comes when there is a full moon."
"That's… oddly specific…" Rudy muttered. "What's her name?"
"Umm, she doesn't have a name, but people call her 'Blue Moon.' However, don't even mention that name in front of her. She hates it."
"Blue moon. That's more like a title. Who gave her that name?" Rudy asked with a curious look on his face.
Vida shrugged her shoulders in response.
SIGH!
"So I am lost."
"Well…" Vida cleared her throat and got up from the chair. She then walked to the counter and opened the drawer.
"I was going to give this to Kaguya, but you two can either compromise or fight over it."
Vida showed them a black card with a grin on her face. "I don't mean to brag, but I am her one and only disciple."
