Chapter 1087: Eating in New York

Rudy flew for a few hours and crossed the borders of another country.

The soldiers at the borders heard the sound of something flying by in the sky, but they couldn't see anything.

One guard contacted the control center and asked for the report of something flying by.

[The radar didn't pick up any signals. Everything is clear.]

Rudy was flying so fast that the radar couldn't track him. He was faster than the speed of light, a lot faster. Because of that, people could hear the loud noise of something flying by, but Rudy had made sure to fly as high as he could to reduce the sound.

Nonetheless, it didn't matter since no one could see him flying because of his high speed.

'I have no idea what I am doing…'

Rudy landed in the middle of a busy street in New York city.

"I will eat something first and think about everything after that."

Rudy went to the most luxurious restaurant he could see and ordered the food. The servers seemed wary of him because of his casual clothes. Everyone else was dressed neatly, suitable enough to dine in the restaurant. But Rudy looked like he was out for a stroll.

Of course, they couldn't do anything since he was a customer. They couldn't kick him out because of the risk of him being someone great.

If a person came in casual clothes to a luxurious restaurant, one would think the person must be wealthy enough to not consider the restaurant's value.

Rudy was aware of the gazes and the glares he was receiving, and he knew the reasons behind them, too.

'Well, I don't have money anyway, so it doesn't matter. Which is why I came to a luxurious restaurant rather than a small one. Even water would be at least 10 times more expensive than anywhere else. I wouldn't feel bad for running away without paying.'

Rudy only planned to eat enough to feel like he had eaten something, but the food was so tasty that he couldn't help but order more.

One by one, Rudy had ordered almost all the dishes from the menu.

Three hours had passed, but Rudy was still hungry.

Dozens of people came and left the restaurant, but only Rudy remained. The servers were astonished and frustrated at the same time.

'How could someone eat so much?' they wondered.

Even the chefs in the kitchen were getting tired. By the time they would finish one dish for Rudy, he would have already eaten the previous dish.

Rudy ate so much that the other customers' orders were getting delayed.

It became so much worse that the one in charge had to call the manager, although he didn't believe it. But after witnessing everything with his own eyes, he was at a loss of words and called the owner of the restaurant.

Their initial worry about Rudy being a shady customer had vanished, and now they were worried about a different thing.

Another hour passed, but Rudy was still eating as though he had just started. He once again picked up the menu and gazed over the list.

'Hmm~ Only two items left.'

He ordered the remaining two items from the menu and waited.

'To be honest, I can eat as much as I want and still feel hungry. I can control what's happening in my body. Still, I didn't plan to eat this much. The taste is surprisingly the best I have ever had. Of course, except for mom's cooking. The chef definitely deserves a raise.'

A few minutes later, the food had arrived. Rudy eagerly grabbed the first bite and savored the taste.

'Seriously, how can something so simple be so tasty? I need to see the chef!'

By the time Rudy finished one dish, the restaurant had become empty. There were no servers around and not a single customer was in sight.

Rudy ate the second fish casually, as though he owned the restaurant.

'I can't sense anyone around. But…'

When Rudy used his supervision, he could see a figure approaching him from the other room.

'That's a neat ability. Someone had hidden their presence like that? Judging by what I see, it's a lady. She must be awakened to have such an ability to be nonexistent like that.'

Just a second later, the door opened, and the lady walked in. Rudy couldn't see her face before because he had supervision activated, but after seeing her face to face, Rudy wasn't surprised to see her.

'Isn't she the world's fifth ranking hero? Her abilities are said to be speed and strength. It sounds so simple, but it's super strong. Not only that, but she is a businesswoman who owns many businesses. Her guild is also the world's second ranking guild.

What was her name again? Triss Louher? Well, whatever. The question is, why is she here? It's possible that this restaurant belongs to her, but why would she come here? It can't be because I have eaten so much. It's a trivial matter.

Why would they care how much I eat as long as I am paying? If a hundred customers order a hundred dishes or one customer orders a hundred dishes, it's the same amount of work.'

Rudy maintained his composure and ate without a worry.

"You there." Triss Louher called out to Rudy. "Are you the one causing trouble on my property?"

Rudy looked at Triss and chewed the food before swallowing.

"Hmm?"

"I received a call saying a troublesome customer had arrived. I was nearby, so I thought I would take a look and see who is the foolish person who dared to mess with something that belongs to me."

"What did I do?" Rudy shrugged his shoulders.

Rudy hadn't done anything. He simply ordered the dishes and ate. He neither interacted with anyone nor caused trouble to other customers. Which is why Rudy was pissed because of how he was treated. Hence, he decided to pay it back.

"Oh, you said you work here, right? Can you bring me a chocolate shake? No, wait. I think I will have a soft drink instead."

Triss Louher sharpened her gaze, which turned into a glare.

"You…!" She gritted her teeth in anger. "Don't you know who I am?!"
