Chapter 3086 Other Origins
Chapter 3086 Other Origins
Since Pearl was likely going to cultivate for a few more weeks at least, Alex decided to do the same as well. He went through his Soul Space to bring out some of the pills he would need and noticed a significant lack of them.
Pearl had taken the good pills, and while he did technically have many pills, none of them had nine pill veins. Instead of making new ones, he decided to fix the ones he already had.
That would require him to remake the pill in order to invoke the Pill Clouds once again.
'I should fix every single pill I have. Not just the cultivation pills,' he thought, sighing lightly as that was more work to be done. But there was plenty of time before Pearl's trial, so there would be no loss.
Alex took a cultivation pill and began cultivating once again. As he cultivated, he could feel something strange about it all, as if he was suddenly having an easier time with it all.
The speed of his cultivation itself hadn't improved, but something about how long he could last during each cultivation session had.
'Does this have to do with the beasts that are no longer in my Soul Space?' he wondered. This was his first proper cultivation session since their departure, and the feeling of relief was palpable each time he cycled his Qi through his body.
'Maybe the fact that I've completed transcending one of my Origins has to do with it as well,' he thought.
Either way, something had become easier, and Alex relished the feeling before it lost its novelty.
After a few weeks of cultivating not just his Qi but also his eyes and physique, Alex finally stopped. He could continue, but focusing only on cultivation was not how one got through the Immortal
Transcendent realm.
Alex needed to focus on his Origins as well. He paused for a moment, thinking about what Creation he wanted to work on next. He really did have to work on every single one of them, but there were some he just couldn't do right now.
The Sun, for one, was not something he wanted to get to right now. The Sun's aura was quite strong, but he had seen people float around in space as if nothing was pressing on them. Even though they were out in the sun, they could ignore it because they could easily block any harm that came from the Sun.
Perhaps, if he turned it into a Creation, it would make it stronger. But he didn't want to take that risk until he knew for certain it would
work. For that, he had to research a bit more.
The Void was also something he couldn't get to right away, but that was only because he had no way of opening a gateway to the Void without someone in the White Tiger Palace finding out.
The Yellow Fog was out of the question until Bai Jingshen got him the technique to draw out aura from something that didn't have an aura, so Alex was really only left with the Tree or the Pill.
"The tree will have to wait,' Alex thought. 'I should get to the pill first since it's easier!'
Alex brought out the Blank Canvas Pill in his Soul Space and held it in his hand. He was about to begin absorbing its aura immediately, but something gave him pause.
"Wait, this doesn't have any aura."
Alex couldn't help but laugh out loud when he realized that. Blank Canvas Pills were, by definition, blank-lacking any and all aura. What they were were pills whose energy had managed to destroy their physical matter's connection to the energy, thus opening it up to take in any and all energy that was pumped into it.
"Since this is without aura, I will need the technique," Alex thought and put the pill away. "It seems I'll have to start with the tree then." At least, he didn't have to worry about the Nine Yang Divine Tree giving out aura since it certainly did. The main issue was whether or not he would be able to draw it out of his Soul Space.
The World Tree devoured all energy that came toward it, including spiritual sense, which was why Alex hadn't even thought of turning it into his Creation. The Yang Tree was also the same when it was starting up, so Alex was worried, but it had grown tamer as it aged.
Which was why he hoped that he would succeed.
Alex calmed his body and soul and sent out his spiritual sense through his Soul Space, making his way to the tree. As his senses approached, Alex could feel the heat that came from the tree, the brightness and the glow, like a sun.
But it wasn't anything like the real sun. There was no violence in its rays, no destructive power. It was as though the tree had the power of the sun, but only when inside the atmosphere.
Alex could already feel the aura coming off the tree, but he needed to go closer. Pain flared in his mind, soft for now, but definitely there. As he approached, it got harsher, making his senses burn up slowly. 'Damn it!' he thought. 'This must be what the others feel when I cover myself in Yang aura!
At some point, Alex couldn't continue at all. Not because he was in pain, which he was, but because his spiritual sense was being burned up faster than he could get closer.
He had to stop and take a moment, wondering how he was going to
do this.
"Yin aura?" he thought. Perhaps the path ahead here was for him to send Yin aura into this location and open up some space for his spiritual sense to continue on.
Alex had no way of telling if this would work at all, but he had to try.
With a thought, Yin aura flooded his Soul Space, gathering around the tree as it slowly concentrated on one spot, allowing his spiritual sense to get closer to the tree.
