Chapter 3093 The Next Stage

Pearl broke through to the Immortal Transcendent realm, his breakthrough coming with little trouble. Alex could feel the sense of satisfaction flowing through their bond, the feeling of being free palpable through their bond.

While Pearl had broken through, there was still some time before he would leave his cultivation sessions. Alex focused back on his own task.

Once the first set of pills that only needed him to add a bit of energy were done, he moved on to the set of pills that had failed to reach 100% because their compositions were flawed to begin with.

What he needed to do in this scenario was to crush the pill into its powdered form, release the energy within it, and then remake the proper pill. It required more focus than the previous sets of pills because he not only had to remake the pill but also add energy to it to fill what was missing.

On the upside, he could use up to 6 pills at the same time, so long as they were the same pill. That sped up his efficiency far more than the last set.

With Memory splitting into 5 different clones, he could ideally make up to 30 pills at once.

If Alex was worried about the speed of it all, he could have slowed down time to accommodate the process, but since he didn't lack time, he carried on freely.

It was better in the long run if he kept his mental energy anyway.

The task took another few days, requiring his full attention most of the time, so he couldn't think about anything else. Only after he was done with it was he free to let his mind return to the question he had before.

Could Pill Clouds become his Creation? And more importantly, were

there differences between the various other tribulation clouds?

He considered these questions, as well as means to test them out. If he could figure out how they worked, then he wouldn't have to remain within the confines of Pill Lightning and Tribulation Lightning. Maybe... he could create his own form of lightning.

After cultivating for some time and regaining his Qi, Alex started the final set of pills in his possession, which also happened to be the largest set. These were pills that he had reached 100% with and formed some pill veins on them.

However, now that he could create 9 veins each time, he wanted to upgrade them all.

Unfortunately, upgrading them wasn't as easy as adding more energy to them and invoking Pill Clouds. There was no way to invoke Pill Clouds using a pill that was already refined with Pill Lightning. To make that happen, he would first have to destroy the pill and reform

it.

Doing so presented other issues, such as the excess energy that came from the pill veins. He could let it go, or... he could condense the energy until it was barely above what the pill could handle and invoke the Pill Clouds through it.

When a pill was formed this way, the energy within it would be strong. As a result, the Pill Lightnings that came to strike it would also be proportionally stronger.

Alex wasn't sure if he could form all 9 veins for each of these pills, but it wouldn't matter as much overall if the starting energy itself was quite strong. That also meant that Alex would have to spend all of his focus on a few pills at a time, so this was going to take a while.

Alex had already decided at this point that he would start with the important pills and leave the rest for when he was free. Since they were pills with pill veins to begin with, there was no real urgency to improve them after all.

The process was just as simple as the previous pills for Alex, with only the condensing part presenting some difficulty. That too was only difficult because he had to place extra attention to not overdo the condensing, such that it would be less than what the pill could hold. Only then would the Pill Clouds form.

Alex started with a few pills at first, but as he continued, he found himself easing into the task and added the other cauldrons too before making 5 pills each time.

Sometimes when he could, he would make multiple pills per cauldron, quickly adding up to the thousands of pills he had to fix.

He continued for a few long days, making pills without any break, and only stopped when he felt Pearl stop his own cultivation and leave his

room.

By then, Alex was done with the majority of the pills, so there wasn't much left for him to do. So, he stopped making any more pills and left the room, going out to meet Pearl.

Whisker appeared out as well, and the two congratulated Pearl with beaming smiles. Pearl beamed as well.

"You all seem to be more or less done," Bai Jingshen said as he looked at them. "How long before Whisker reaches the Immortal

Transcendent realm?"

Alex turned toward Whisker, waiting for him to answer the question.

"It will take a while," Whisker said. "I need to allow my body to be ready before I break through, so I'm thinking of entering the chambers for the next 10 years of your trial."

Alex nodded slightly. "That will be a good use of your time," he said. "Since an hour outside is 30 hours in those chambers, you will have spent 300 years in the time before we are done with the trial."

"Quite a bit less than that since Whisker will have to keep watch on the world inside your Soul Space," Pearl said. "But that should still be

more than 250 years easily."

Whisker nodded.

Bai Jingshen turned toward Pearl. "Are you ready for your trial?" he

asked.

"More or less," Pearl said. "I feel a little nervous, but I'll be fine. I don't have anything to worry about after all since you'll be coming with me."

Bai Jingshen gave an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, Pearl, but I lied," he said. "I won't be coming with you."
