Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3156 Transfusion

Chapter 3156 Transfusion

Alex and the two Xuan Luhei followed their guide through the

cavernous hallways of the Black Tortoise palace, making their way to a different region from the one they had been to before.

Even the two beasts beside him made curious comments about never having come to this side of the palace before, which mostly only allowed Divinities and such to come through.

They arrived before a massive guarded room with a giant gate. The obsidian gates opened, revealing a massive cave-like room inside. Lingkai went through it first, and then gestured for the others to go in.

As Alex passed through the door, he found the water remaining outside, as the inside was another bubble of air. As he stepped in, all lingering droplets of water that were on his body and clothes were stripped behind as he fully walked in.

The ground was made of the same obsidian crystal that grew everywhere, but the ceiling and walls were a mix of crystals and cavern walls. The room was entirely empty, aside from a few formations that actively worked at all times.

Alex glanced around the room, noticing a distinct lack of water inside the room, not just on his body, but also in the air itself. Alex would've assumed such a room to be damp, but it had little to no humidity at all.

"You should start making the preparations," Lingkai said. "The matriarch will be here very soon."

Alex nodded and called for the snake Luhei to come to the center of the room. He brought out the various materials that would be necessary, formations and artifacts as well as regular apparatus that would be needed for blood transfusion.

Alex poked a hole on one side of the snake, slowly draining his blood.

"You'll start feeling like something is wrong with your body and that you quickly need to heal. Your body will want to regenerate its blood. Do not let it. You will survive just off your Qi alone."

The snake nodded, watching the blood trickle out of his body at first, before changing into a tiny flow that would yet still grow. He saw his blood leave him and felt his body's response to it.

Almost immediately, his body wanted to start working on replacing the lost blood. At the Immortal realm, he could completely replace his lost blood within a few hours, so long as he didn't have any other grievous injury.

Xuan Luhei handled it well, stopping his body from replacing his blood for a while. He could feel how quickly his Qi was depleting as the energy within it flowed through his body to keep the organs running.

Alex watched the slow stream of blood trickle out as all of the snake's blood was drained out. Once done, he went over to the other side, opening another hole on that side, preparing for the vial of blood to be pushed in through there.

Once he was ready, he waited for the matriarch to come.

Lingkai stayed by the door for a minute or two before looking up. "The matriarch is here."

A tiny plop sound came from the door just then, prompting Alex and the others to search for the sound. Their eyes searched for the matriarch, but they saw nothing at all.

They wondered for a moment if the sound had been something random, but then a powerful but harmless aura enveloped them in an instant.

Alex turned around and found the giant snake Matriarch inside the room, half her body coiled up, the other half standing high with her head near the ceiling.

"You are ready. Have you started the process?" the matriarch asked.

"I have taken out his blood, but I haven't put the prepared blood with the stronger bloodline yet," Alex answered. "We were waiting for your arrival."

"I'm here. You may start whenever you can."

Alex nodded and opened the vial, before slowly pouring the blood into an artifact that pumped blood directly into the snake's body. The vial was a storage artifact, so Alex had thousands of liters of blood in just that single vial. As he poured it into the snake, he carefully watched the inside of the snake, seeing the changes that took place.

Blood was quite special when seen from the perspective of the connections it had to a person. Blood tended to lose connections as soon as it left the body, allowing the person to regrow it.

At the same time, it also reformed connections when it entered a person again. And more surprisingly, it created connections even when not in the original body.

Oftentimes the connections failed to form if the blood was different enough from what the soul was used to, but more often than not, it worked.

Currently, the blood flowing into Xuan Luhei was doing exactly the same. It was creating new connections with his body, making it so that the body didn't need to create new blood for now.

Alex saw drips begin to appear on the other side where he drained the blood and quickly closed it. Now that the blood was passed through his entire body, it would soon be time to stop it.

A minute or two later, Xuan Luhei had recovered enough blood with potent bloodline, so Alex stopped pouring any more.

Once he stepped away, he used his senses to continue examining the snake. If something were to go wrong, he would need to act immediately.

Thankfully, nothing did go wrong. However, at the same time, nothing

good happened either. Even though the snake's body was filled with the blood, it didn't react as Alex had hoped. The blood should've started making improvements considering the soul was already better.

And yet, nothing was happening.

Alex was flummoxed and tried to think of something to do.

The matriarch spoke just then.

"The blood is within him, but it won't do anything until his soul and

body form a unity."

"Unity?" Alex asked, giving her a blank look. "I don't..."

The matriarch's eyes turned toward Xuan Luhei. "Child, begin

cultivating."
