Chapter 3195 The Truth
Chapter 3195 The Truth
Once Alex and Pearl arrived outside, they felt the restriction placed upon their spiritual sense vanish almost immediately. Their sense spread far and wide, reaching many kilometers away.
It was such a freeing experience that they had so dearly missed.
Alex had left the island once, but his immediate next location had been the Black Tortoise Palace, where he couldn't make use of his free spiritual sense even if he could.
They were aware of the White Tigers' multiple palaces that were on the southern half of the island, where they were headed, when they realized Bai Jingshen was elsewhere instead.
After noticing where he was, they followed him, only now arriving before a group of other White Tigers.
Alex could see them from afar and the potency of the aura they emanated. They were quite the strong beasts.
Without even arriving, they could tell what these White Tigers had likely come here for. As such, Alex wondered for a moment if he wanted to visit Bai Jingshen or stay away.
But before they could make the decision, Bai Jingshen's words came through his divine sense, asking them to get there as soon as they could. Just like they had noticed him, he had noticed them as well.
"Get your dial out. We might need it," Alex told Pearl.
Pearl nodded, taking the teleportation dial out.
The other White Tigers only noticed them a minute later, as multiple divine senses scanned through Alex, Pearl, and the immensely scared wildcat they had brought along.
Since the wildcat knew what they were there for, he made for an excellent witness to not just Pearl's actions, but also the crimes of the dead White Tigers. It was a good way to bring the truth to the
forefront.
The divine ship arrived next to the White Tigers, and they came down from it, stepping behind Bai Jingshen.
Bai Jingshen turned around to take a proper look at the two of them. When he saw they were both unhurt, he nodded slightly. He barely gave any glance to the wildcat.
"You still have two years," Bai Jingshen said. "Am I to assume you failed?"
Pearl nodded. "Things happened inside. I had no choice but to fail."
Bai Jingshen let out a deep sigh. "That's a shame, but what can you do, right? Since you are done, shall we leave?"
Alex nodded, but Pearl took a glance at the other White Tigers, not able to ignore them as easily as the other two had.
"Stop for a second," Bai Caoyang spoke before anyone could do anything. "We have lost so many of our juniors today. The young white cat might know something"
"White Tiger," Bai Jingshen said, looking at his uncle. "But then, I don't have to tell you."
Bai Caoyang let out a harrumph, ignoring Bai Jingshen and turning toward the other two.
"Tell us what happened inside," Bai Caoyang asked. "Did you encounter our children and grandchildren?"
Pearl took one glance at Bai Jingshen, waiting for his word. As soon as Bai Jingshen gave a nod, he answered. "I did meet them all. They came to kill me."
"What?" Bai Caoyang asked, a look of anger flashing through his face. The other White Tigers stepped forward at the same time, none keeping their calm.
Bai Jingshen moved a little, reminding them that he was still there.
"Don't lie, child," Bai Caoyang said with an authoritative tone.
"Oh! I'm sorry. I shouldn't lie," Pearl said. "They weren't there to kill me at all. They were just there to strip my blood essence and take it for themselves. I was instead to be killed by other beasts."
Bai Caoyang's eyes widened in anger again. "You dare-"
"We have brought proof," Alex said, patting the wildcat that was next to them. "This young beast here worked for the other White Tigers that died inside. He knows the truth fully well, and we are going to bring him over to the patriarch."
Bai Caoyang remained silent, but a smoldering rage burned within him. He more or less knew what it was that needed to be done.
"Who killed our children?" he simply asked.
"I did," Pearl said. "All twenty-nine. Or wait... thirty if you count one that died some years ago."
"What?"
"What?"
It wasn't just the other White Tigers that were surprised by Pearl's information. Even Bai Jingshen was taken aback.
"You killed them all?" Bai Caoyang asked, his face burning with rage.
"I did," Pearl said.
"Why did you?" Bai Jingshen asked, struggling to hide his shock.
"They came after me, Grandpa," Pearl said, not understanding why he
was so shocked.
"You!" Bai Jingshen turned to Alex. "You were supposed to protect him. How could you let him fight all of them by himself?"
Alex blinked. "Oh! I... I was busy."
"Busy with what?" Bai Jingshen asked, his voice tinged with anger now. "That was the one thing you were sent in there for. You were
supposed to protect him. How did you fail to do just that?"
Alex gave an awkward smile. "I needed to go to the Black Tortoise Palace urgently. Something important came up, needing my attention. I knew Pearl could handle it, so I left. By the time we met again, he had already fought them all and killed them."
Bai Jingshen narrowed his eyes. "Alright, we'll talk later. You should
return now."
"Got it!" Pearl said, immediately using the dial on his hand. Teleportation energy flashed around him, Alex, and the wildcat.
"Don't you dare think you will-" Bai Caoyang had been on the verge of attacking when Bai Jingshen stepped in and used a simple
technique.
White Tiger's Roar.
The few beasts in the area instantly felt their focus wavering. Even the
strongest among them, Bai Caoyang at Divine Domain 1st realm, couldn't activate his domain quick enough as a result to stop the three Immortals from leaving.
When they came to, the youngsters were gone, leaving behind only
Bai Jingshen.
"You... little..." Bai Caoyang spoke, his voice thick with murderous rage. "Do you think you're safe?"
Bai Jingshen slowly turned around, all emotions now gone from his
face.
"Do you?"
