Chapter 3212 The Fog's Aura
Chapter 3212 The Fog's Aura
Alex gave the Dawn Breaking Pill recipe to Beihan, letting her decide how many pills she wanted to make and sell through the shop. He had little reason to care what they did with that. So long as he got his ingredients over the next few months, he was happy.
Alex made about 10 pills in total with all the ingredients he had, and could even push it to 15 if he swapped around some ingredients or used a weaker pill as ingredient instead. But he decided to only take that route when there was nothing else left to be done.
The same was true for the Blank Canvas Pills, which would increase the number by a good few dozen.
Once Alex made the pill, there was nothing much else left for him to do except wait for Bai Jingshen to deliver him his blood. Since there wasn't really a need for him to analyze Bai Jingshen's blood like he had with the others, there was no haste.
Even if Bai Jingshen just gave him the blood a day ago, he could still condense it all in time. The bigger need was for the White Tiger beast core, which was what was probably taking Bai Jingshen so long to
return.
With time to spend elsewhere, Alex immediately decided to fill up more of his Origin. Since he wanted to get to all of them as quickly as he could, it was time to start on a new Origin.
There were really only two options available for him to absorb at the moment, given that he still had doubts regarding absorbing the Sun Wraith's aura, and had gotten literally nowhere with the Heavenly Clouds.
He had to choose between the Void and the Yellow Fog, which was the easiest choice given where he was currently.
'Yellow Fog it is then, Alex thought. Before he started, he had to test something with his Origins. He was still not sure if he could make two
of the same Origins, so he had to find that out.
Since the very first Origin of his was covered in Yellow Fog already, he didn't want to create another one by mistake. He tested with the Blank Canvas pill, using his technique to create aura from the pill's non-existent aura, and then absorbed it. As he did, instead of sending it to the usual Origin, he tried to send it to an empty Origin.
He foolishly hoped the Origin would reject the aura, as if a failsafe created by his technique all on its own. However, the Origin was happy regarding any aura it was given. Alex sighed and stopped.
There was no damage done here. He could easily rewrite the little aura he had added into that Origin. Reversing Transcendence of an Origin wasn't impossible even if it was halfway done, although it did have a tendency to cause Qi deviation, so it was better to do it early
on.
Once Alex stopped, he sensed the aura from the newest Origin and compared it to the Origin for the pill. The aura it gave off was pretty much the same, albeit in vastly different strength, so at least Alex could test whether or not the Yellow Fog's aura was the same as the aura from the first Origin.
Alex closed his eyes and started the process of absorbing the Yellow Fog's aura into his Origin. To do so, he had to go into his Spiritual Sea and move the fog's aura into the Origin.
The Yellow Fog surfaced from deep within his spiritual sea, surrounding him in an instant. He then tried to copy its aura, only to realize that the Yellow Fog didn't have any aura.
Its presence was so starkly embedded into his mind that he hadn't realized that it had no outwardly spreading aura. That mattered not since he still had the technique.
Alex used the technique to create aura from the auraless, and used it on the Yellow Fog. Slowly, the spiritual sea below him churned as the energy fueled Alex's technique to create aura from the Yellow Fog.
A separate aura appeared very soon, one that was under Alex's control. Alex smiled, moving the aura toward the Origin that had barely taken in any of the pill's aura.
However, when he tried to pour in the aura, the Origin rejected it fully.
Alex paused for a moment, wondering what he had done wrong. He tried again, only to fail again.
'Shit!' Alex thought, wondering if he had somehow ruined that Origin. That should not have been the case at all. When he failed the third time, Alex had no choice but to move on to a different Origin.
When he failed on that Origin as well, Alex understood that something else was afoot. He stepped back, trying to discern the reason behind his failure. He looked at his Origin, then at the Yellow Fog, then down at the sea below him.
He finally looked up, a thought coming to his mind. "Wait a second. Can you not use spiritual energy to create aura for your Origins?"
Alex couldn't help but frown upon coming to that conclusion. Just to test the hypothesis, he recreated the aura of the Blank Canvas Pill from memory within his spiritual sea and tried to feed it into its
appropriate Origin.
While he felt some of it being absorbed by the Origin, most of it was wholeheartedly rejected. Alex feared that the little that had been absorbed was because the Origin recognized the aura.
Still, this could only be called a failure.
"So... the Origin will only absorb aura that is made using Qi," Alex thought with a sigh. Unless he could get the Yellow Fog to move out of his spiritual sea, which he couldn't, this wasn't happening.
"Well... then I should be thankful that that is not the only location where the Yellow Fog appears," Alex thought with some level of relief flowing through him.
Since he couldn't use the Yellow Fog in his spiritual sea, Alex could only move on to the one that existed within his Soul Space.
