Chapter 3297 Using the Power

Chapter 3297 Using the Power

Alex touched the source of a True God's power and sought to use it. The power was strange to the point that Alex couldn't even describe it. Touching it gave him strange feelings, visions even.

He felt the unending heat of the sun burning down at him. He heard the roar of a dragon that devoured everything. He saw light and life as far as his eyes could see.

There was no doubt that this power belonged to the Sun God. In a way, it was fully unique to him as well. And thanks to the connection the Sun God had formed with him now, he could not only touch but fully use this power.

Alex had not the slightest clue how this power was supposed to work. This wasn't Qi that could be used to perform various techniques. It was a form of energy he had never seen before.

And yet, Alex thought he understood how it had to be used.

Not through some complex technique or methods, but through one simple way.

Intent.

So long as he wanted to achieve something, the power would make it happen.

"What... what are you doing?" the Sun God asked.

"Doing what I must to keep you from taking over me," Alex said. The power surged within him, ready to be used.

"I'm sealing you away."

Alex merely thought of sealing away the Sun God, and the power acted in accordance with his will, ready to do it. However, before it could even start, it failed. The power wasn't wasted. Not a drop of it was used.

It just failed.

Alex frowned, unable to understand what had happened.

"You do not understand," the Sun God said. "You cannot seal me away. You think of me as something separate from that power you hold. But you forget what I told you before. That power is me. You are trying to use me to get rid of me."

Alex considered the Sun God's words and slowly nodded. "I see," he said. "You make an excellent point. I misunderstood."

"Then stop this and let me take over you-"

"You are the power," Alex cut off the Sun God. "So the reason I can't get rid of you is that while your power exists, you are strong. I must first weaken you before I can seal you away."

"What?" the Sun God asked in a surprised tone. "That..."

"What's wrong?" Alex asked. "Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me that won't work."

The Sun God couldn't say.

Alex smiled. "You can never lie, can you?" he asked. "You can't even lie to save yourself."

While the Sun God remained silent, Alex stood from where he sat, his cultivation continuing even as he moved. He looked down at himself, seeing that he was still fully naked.

With a snap of his finger, clothes appeared around his body, black robes and pants covering him. It surprised Alex just how little of the new power he was using. He might as well have not used anything to form his clothes.

"Well, that was silly of me to think it would be enough," Alex told himself. "This is the power they used to form the Heavens. It won't be so simple as to be used up by something so small. I have to do something big."

Alex knew he had to hurry as well. The Spirit of the Sun God would turn into a Creation at any point now. He had to stop that from happening, but what could he do exactly? He needed ideas.

The Sun Fire barrier that covered them came down in an instant as Alex used his power, looking throughout the valley to see if he could get inspiration.

When he did, he saw the illusory Three-Legged Crow standing at the base of the mountain, along with Whisker to the side. The crow immediately bowed down, without even taking a moment to consider whether the Sun God had returned or not.

Alex was slightly taken aback, only now coming to the realization that the Three-Legged Crow might have known the truth of what would happen this entire time. The Sun God and Moon Goddess must've told it the truth.

It believed that the next time anyone would come out of the barrier, it would be the two gods.

'If it finds out that it isn't the gods, I can't imagine what it would do,' Alex thought. So, he knew the first thing he had to do.

'I have to kill it,' he thought.

He raised his palm, ready to use the power to kill the remnant of the Primordial, but just before he could, another idea struck him.

'Why should I kill it?' he thought. 'When I can likely tame it instead!

That was all Alex needed to think. As soon as the idea came to him, he

put it into effect.

"Crow!" he called out to it. "Starting today, you are bound to me."

The world responded to Alex's wishes. A majority of the power within his Dantian was immediately used up as it made his demand happen. The Sun Crow felt the change in the atmosphere, looking up with a confused look. "Father, what are you-"

The crow's words were forced to a stop as its eyes went wide momentarily. The entire illusory figure of the crow dulled for a moment, the light of its body dimming.

At the same time, Alex felt another bond form within himself that connected him to the Three-Legged Crow. This was the bond between a master and a servant.

Alex was stunned at how easy that had been. What surprised him the

most was the fact that it hadn't even taken any part of his soul, like bonding beasts usually did. It had just happened, and the crow was now forever bound to him.

The crow's body glowed brightly once again, and it looked up toward Alex. Slowly, it bowed once again, its head reaching the ground.

"How may I be of assistance, master?"

Alex smiled.

Just that simply, a Primordial, even if only a remnant, had become

bonded to him.
