Chapter 3298 Another Use
Chapter 3298 Another Use
As soon as the Three-Legged Crow was bonded to him, the illusory beast lay in wait for his command. Alex ignored the beast for the moment, placing his attention back in his Spiritual Sea, where the Sun God was still slowly growing.
The remaining power from outside continued to flow into him, helping the Sun God be born. It was so very close that Alex genuinely panicked. If he didn't seal it quickly, it would be too late.
He tried sealing the Sun God once again, but still he struggled. This time, the energy seemed a little more willing, but it still failed.
It was so counterintuitive that the only way for the Sun God to be sealed was when this energy of his was incredibly weak. If not for the Sun God himself telling him this, Alex might not have even guessed such a thing was the case.
"I need to make it weaker," Alex told himself. He looked toward Shumi and saw her staring right back at him.
Alex froze. He found it hard to tell who it was that was staring at him in this moment. Was it Shumi? Or was it the Moon Goddess?
"Who are you?" Shumi asked.
Alex blinked for a moment, surprised that she took the initiative to ask. "It's me, Alex."
Shumi seemed surprised. "You didn't accept the Sun God's power?" she asked.
Alex could tell by the way she spoke that it was Shumi speaking, and not the Moon Goddess. "I'm fighting him off," he said, taking a deep breath. He could see that she wasn't cultivating, so it wasn't Unity that allowed her to keep speaking.
Had she just started?
"What is going on with you and the Moon Goddess? Did you fight off
her influence?" he asked. "Or is she not going to kill you?"
Shumi shook her head. "I haven't yet accepted her power," she answered, sighing in relief. "I'm glad to see that you are doing well as well."
"Not just yet," Alex said. "I still have something to do."
Shumi paused for a moment and nodded, looking to an empty space before her. "So do I." She quickly lost herself as her attention was drawn back to the Moon Goddess, and Alex turned away, knowing that he couldn't waste more time.
He had to find something else to spend the remaining energy on.
Alex tried to consider something about him that he would like to change or improve, but there was nothing that came to his mind. Everything he could ever want was easily achievable.
It just felt like a waste of power to use it on himself if he wasn't going to change something drastically. A thought came to him in that moment as he wondered if he could perhaps give himself some Supreme-grade roots.
He immediately thought of turning all of his roots into Supreme grade and using the energy.
The energy within his dantian churned, and did nothing.
It failed.
"What? Why did it fail?"
He couldn't imagine why it would fail. Had he asked for something that cost a bit too much? Was turning all of his roots into Supreme grade perhaps a bad idea?
"Then what about just one of them?" Alex thought. That was likely possible, but Alex was quickly overwhelmed by options. And it wasn't something he could so simply choose either.
Pearl's Supreme roots had clashed against each other, lowering his
overall Unity. If something like that happened to him right now, he would instantly die with the Sun God taking over him.
'I can't risk it,' he thought. 'Before I know much about roots and their connection to Unity, I cannot do anything!
Changing his spirit roots was immediately out of the question.
Alex desperately needed something else to change. There had to be something he could spend this energy on that he wouldn't regret afterward, right? Even if he did regret it, maybe spending it on anything at all would be a good thing at the moment.
As his mind raced and he was ready to just spend it on anything,
Alex's eyes landed on Whisker.
Whisker watched silently with slackened jaws at the moment, staring between the bird and Alex. He had been waiting there for weeks, unable to get close. He had likely been worried all this time. Alex's gaze met Whisker's, and Alex knew in that moment that he wanted to do something for Whisker.
As Alex raised his hands, an idea came to his mind. Could it work? He had no way to tell without trying. He was far too new to this energy to know if anything was possible. But since he had thought about it, Alex could only try and find out.
Alex raised his hands toward Whisker, using his powers. To Whisker, the hand looked like the hand of a god, ready to bless him.
And bless him it did.
The energy within Alex completely vanished, all of it being used up to make his wish come true. Seeing the success, Alex couldn't help but
smile widely.
Whisker felt sudden changes in his body that he couldn't explain.
Information poured into his mind as his body was slowly imprinted with new knowledge. The information that poured into him was that of a cultivation method.
Cultivation methods normally didn't work on Whisker, a fault he was born with. At best, they could only be used to gather Qi, and never
actually improve.
This method, however, would help him cultivate all on his own. And that was far from what was important about this technique.
The thing that surprised Whisker the most was what the technique did to his body when cultivated using it. His mind took in the four stages of the technique, the healing that came from it.
It fit his bloodline perfectly.
Whisker's breathing grew ragged in an instant as he came to the
absurd realization that Alex had somehow given him the technique to
learn the Undying Physique.
Starting today, there would now exist more than one person with the physique of the Undying God.
