Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3302 A New One

Chapter 3302 A New One

"Did you get all of the energy that was with the Moon Goddess?" Alex asked Shumi, trying to feel her energy, but it wasn't the same as a cultivation base or aura that could be sensed. It was unique enough and always stayed within Shumi's Dantian.

Alex couldn't even use his Demon Eyes to see this unique aura.

"The whole thing," Shumi said, seeming quite happy about it. "What about you?"

Alex shrugged slightly. "I have a little in me now. I had to use up what I had in order to make the Sun God weak enough to seal him away."

"I see," Shumi said. "How did you lock him up? I wouldn't have guessed that such a thing was even possible."

"I almost instinctively knew that could be done," Alex said. "Try touching your energy. As soon as you feel it, you just know that you can do whatever you want with it, so long as you know what you're doing."

Shumi tried it, and truly, she understood what Alex told her. "Anything?" she asked with a curious look.

Alex shrugged. "I think so. The Sun God and Moon Goddess certainly did quite a few things that couldn't be explained so easily, so it must've been this power."

Shumi thought for a moment. "I don't want to use all of it, but I also want to try some to see how things work," she said, now growing even more curious. "I guess I can try anything. Although, I don't want to waste the power if it doesn't work."

"Oh! That's what you don't have to worry about," Alex told her. "If it fails, the energy just doesn't do anything instead of being wasted. You can try."

"Oh, really?" Shumi raised an eyebrow. "Alright, let me give it a go."

She closed her eyes for a moment, immediately lost deep in thought. After a brief moment, she opened her eyes wide in shock. "I... I can't believe it."

Alex hadn't even realized she had done something. There had been no indications. "What did you do?" he asked. It surely hadn't been something outside of her body or anything physical.

"Your technique," she said. "I wanted to see if I could still try it out."

"My technique?" Alex asked for a moment, not sure which one she was talking about.

"Division," Shumi said, finally explaining it.

"Ah! Did you separate your Origin into two using your power?" Alex asked with a rather curious look.

"No," Shumi said. "I can't do that. My Origin is already filled with Mother Phoenix's aura."

Alex was slightly taken aback. "Then?"

Shumi grinned. "So, I made a new one entirely."

Alex froze for a long moment, taking in her words slowly. He stared at her with a slack jaw as he understood the fact that Shumi had done something he could have never imagined possible.

She had created a second Origin out of nothing.

"You made another Origin all on your own?" Alex asked slowly.

Shumi nodded fervently. "I was a little worried that I would fail, but it happened so easily," she said.

"You..." Alex didn't even know what to say. Had he thought of it, would he have done the same? "How much energy do you have remaining?"

"A little less than a third of what I had originally. I don't think I should use this. Better to keep it in case of an emergency," Shumi said with a thoughtful expression.

"Well, congratulations on gaining that energy, and congratulations on somehow getting the Moon Goddess to accept you," Alex said with a sigh. "If only I had known it was possible, or that the Sun God might have tried to take over my body. I should have been cautious. Too many people have tried to take over my body already."

"You can't be blamed," Shumi said. "It happened so suddenly, after all. We were together one moment, cultivating. And then our bodies finally reached the evolved stage. And then they immediately enticed us with the power we had come here for."

"Yes, but you managed to do it. So I can't make any excuses," Alex said.

Shumi cocked her head to the side. "You've never been treated as a

god before, have you?"

Alex shook his head.

"Have you had formal lessons that drill into you the fact that you have to question every scenario no matter how good it is, to the point that you start doing it even when you are completely under someone

else's influence?"

"No," Alex said.

"Then you can definitely make an excuse," she said. "Besides, if you didn't make the mistake you did, I don't know what would've happened to me. So, in a way, I'm glad that you failed so at least one of us succeeded."

Alex frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You sealing away the Sun God made the Moon Goddess really worried. She constantly looked at you as if you had ruined the entire thing. If not for the sheer desperation the Moon Goddess felt in that moment, I don't know if she would've accepted my proposition or not. It was possible that she and the Sun God would've dragged things out, maybe even forcefully taken over our bodies in due time."

She gave a wide smile. "Thanks to you, however, we both came out alive. I don't think I could've done what you did had I been in your

place."

Alex felt slightly better regarding everything. He still felt somewhat bad about losing the last portion of the energy, but surely he would find a way to gain it back somehow.

As soon as he figured out what the energy exactly was, he could do something about it.

Shumi fished into her Soul Space just then and brought out something. "Here, I made use of your technique, so it's only right you make use of mine. I'm not sure if you specifically can use it, though."

Alex took the talisman with a hint of curiosity and read through it.

The very first words made his heart skip a bit. "You have a Provenance Duality technique too?"
