Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3303 Strange Reactions

Chapter 3303 Strange Reactions

Alex read through the technique quickly, understanding what it was about.

Provenance Duality: Evolution technique caused the Origin to have an attribute wherein the energy within it could, in a way, compress. It was more of a metaphorical compression than anything, but that allowed the Creation to turn into a stronger Creation.

The amount of time one could use that Creation was much lower, and the amount of energy it spent could be anywhere from twice as much to ten times as much, depending on how much evolution had

occurred.

That was, however, practically no different than having two Creations as far as Alex could tell, so it was an incredible technique.

"The Replication technique gives you multiple Creations as well. So does the Transformation technique,' Alex thought. 'Whoever it was that created the various Provenance Duality techniques must've desperately wanted to have multiple Creations!'

Was this the discovery of a disgruntled Divinity in the past who wasn't happy with what he got and wished he could have gotten more?

It could be that, or it could be a talented young cultivator that couldn't choose between two separate Creations. Alex had been in the same headspace previously too.

Or, it could very well just be the Sun God and Moon Goddess who had created it. With the energy they had, they didn't even need to do anything else except just think of the technique and it would form.

Alex looked away from the talisman finally and turned toward Shumi. "Thank you. Whether I can use it or not is impossible to tell just yet, but I can tell for sure that anyone not in the Immortal Transcendent realm can study it."

Alex looked back to where the rest were, mostly talking to themselves

far away at the moment, and could imagine Scarlet and Whisker making use of it. Maybe even the older Alex and Emily if they ever reached that stage.

It might be a little too late for anyone else he cared about.

"I'm sorry I didn't give it to you earlier," Shumi said. "I would've, but I had an oath stopping me from doing so. But... it seems that one of the benefits of evolving is that you don't have any oaths placed on you anymore."

"Really?" Alex felt his own body and realized that what Shumi had said was true. He could feel no specific bindings in his soul that should've been there from the oaths.

Even the oath that he had made to the sect master of the Blue Silk Sect, where he had mentioned that he would return to the sect two and a half millennia later, had been completely voided.

Now, he could freely roam the rest of the realms and not worry about making it in time to the Myriad Spirit Realm.

But of course, that was more of a promise than an oath. The sect master and elders of his sect had given him the freedom with a lot of expectations. He could not just throw that away.

Oath or not, before 2,500 years came to pass, he would be back in that sect.

"It is true that my oaths are gone too," he said. "So, do you want me to speak an oath about this technique?"

"No," Shumi said. "I trust you to not share it wantonly. Besides, I got a much better technique in return, so we can call the matter settled."

Alex smiled. "That works for me."

He put away the talisman before looking back at Shumi. "Your people made you swear an oath on this technique, huh? I would've thought they would care more about their goddess."

Shumi shrugged. "The way I see it, they understand better than

anyone that I was not truly the goddess, just someone with the

potential to become one. They tried their best to make me the goddess, but that didn't mean that they were certain I could become one."

Alex wasn't convinced.

"Sister Xin explained that it was better if I spoke the oath as well. It's not just a safety measure for me to give away my technique deliberately, but also accidentally."

"Accidentally?" Alex asked.

Shumi nodded. "Have you ever seen someone who had sworn an oath be forced to reveal the information under an elder's aura, or by being fed a truth-seeking pill?"

"Ah!" Alex finally understood what she was talking about. People were physically incapable of revealing anything if they swore an oath. That came in handy in many unnatural scenarios as well.

He laughed a little. "And yet you ended up giving it out anyway."

Shumi shrugged. "I am a god now. So I should be allowed to make my own decisions." She then finally looked toward the group in the back, a little surprised. "Where did all of those people come from? Did more people pass the trial? Or is the trial over?"

"Ah! These are my families. Come, I'll introduce you to them."

Alex took Shumi to introduce her to the group. One by one, he

introduced them all.

The group stared with blank eyes for a moment, none moving. Scarlet was the first to move in that moment.

She quickly bowed toward Shumi, her head nearly reaching the dirt. Pearl followed behind next, bowing deeply. Whisker followed next.

Memory didn't react at all, but the older Alex and Emily could not even find anything to say. Instead, their faces were filled with an expression of happiness that Alex had never seen before.

Alex and Shumi were taken aback by the reaction they showed toward her.

"Guys, what's wrong with you all? You're acting like she-"

Alex froze for a moment, turning back toward Shumi. Shumi held a confused look. Her eyes asked questions she couldn't voice herself. Alex heard those questions, and he had an answer ready.

"You are a god now," Alex told her.

"What?" Shumi asked, not seeing what that had to do with anything.

"I've seen this with the Half-Gods. They make you want to respect and revere them while you're in their presence," Alex said. "You seem to have the same effect now."
