Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3325 Wood Transplant

Chapter 3325 Wood Transplant

Alex was quite surprised by Whisker's choice for his second Creation. 'How come I didn't think of that?' he wondered. 'It's genius.'

Had he thought of it beforehand, there was a chance that he would actually make it his Creation. But that time had passed now, and it was Whisker's time to make use of his brilliant mind.

Alex was already focused on absorbing the Sun and the Void, and with a small break in between, he now had the opportunity to sneak in something important.

Alex spent some time coming up with a pill that could help maintain someone's body and soul from drifting too far apart. In practicality, whenever a big change happened on either side, the energy within the pill would help pull the other side toward it.

That was what he would need to help the two rootless humans gain their first spirit root.

He brought his clone out of the Soul Space and laid him on a bed he had prepared beforehand.

"Is it going to be fine?" the clone asked. "We're old. That won't cause an issue, will it?"

"It shouldn't," Alex said in a reassuring voice. "Despite your age, your body cultivation has already reached the near-Immortal realm."

The clone became visibly less worried.

"It's good that you stopped there, though. If you grew to the Immortal realm with your body alone, the Heavens would smite you outright."

"I've tried," the clone Alex said. "I can't break through."

"I know," Alex replied. "You haven't learned any Dao, but you have time. With your body cultivation and age... you have another 3 to 4 thousand years to go before you die of old age. That should be more

than enough for you to learn a Dao. Just a single one should be enough."

The clone nodded slightly. "Let's get it done with then."

Alex gave him two pills to eat and produced a bottle with a paste inside. He applied the paste around the clone's navel area, numbing the region.

He could've made it into a pill as well, but feeding three pills to someone this weak concurrently had a chance to cause issues, and Alex didn't want to take that chance. Since all he had to do was numb the area, a simple paste did the work.

The clone Alex ate the first pill and waited before he ate the second one per Alex's instructions. The second one was a healing pill, which he would have to eat once he had been cut open.

Alex brought out Frostfire Inkbrush, the blade within which made extremely precise cuts. Once the older Alex was ready, he cut into the skin below his belly button, creating a small opening. Moving through the folds of the skin, Alex could see the tiny undeveloped dantian, with nothing attached to it.

The clones that Senior Yang had made in order to replace the dead players had not a single root, not even the neutral ones, so they had no meridians that existed within their bodies. As such, none of those clones could ever break through past the Organ Tempering realm into the Meridian Tempering realm, thus remaining in that stage forever.

"Just to confirm, you've decided to go with the Wood root, right?" Alex asked.

"Mhm," the older Alex said without moving his head.

Alex couldn't help but smile a little.

He had never even thought to collect regular roots from the many corpses he had worked on back when he was a King. As such, he couldn't give regular roots to the two humans and had to instead rely on other roots he had.

He had asked the two of them what they wanted, and they each had a different choice.

Emily had chosen a Water root, knowing that her real self had a Water root as well.

Alex, however, had chosen to go with a Wood root, because that was what his daughter had. He wanted to be closer to Ronron, so he would make use of the Wood root, just like her.

In reality, it didn't matter what roots either of these two got. The chances that they would cultivate to great heights with their talents were almost impossible. What the roots would instead do was give them a closer understanding of the elements, thus allowing them to learn a Dao.

And if they managed to learn it in the few millennia they had, they could break through to the Immortal realm and immediately use the Elixir from Hell to push their bodies into the Divine realm.

At that point, their lifespan would easily cross tens of thousands of

years.

For two people who had thought they had maybe 20 more years to live in the past, the opportunity to be able to continue living for tens of thousands of years was an incredible opportunity that they intended to fully utilize.

"Here I go," Alex said, cutting a small incision on either side of the dantian before attaching the Wood Spirit root to it. As he quickly used his Qi to bind them together, he asked the older Alex to eat the

healing pill.

As the healing occurred, the Wood root in the dantian began to grow suddenly, spewing meridians out from it like a tree sprouting

branches.

Alex waited patiently, watching the growth to make sure that it was not rejected. He was more or less certain it wouldn't be rejected because of the first pill he had the older Alex eat, but he could never

be completely certain.

After a few long minutes, Alex spoke to his clone. "Try cultivating. See if it works."

The older Alex nodded and began his cultivation session atop the bed. As soon as he started, there was an immediate change in his body. While the older Alex watched in shock, Alex could only smile in relief.

"What... what happened?" the older Alex asked, unable to understand. Alex patted him on the shoulder. "Congratulations! You've entered the Meridian Tempering realm."

He then put away the blade.

"And with that, we can say with no doubt that the spirit root

transplant was successful."
