Chapter 3326 Working on the Final Creation

Emily's surgery went near perfectly as well. Just like Alex, her body accepted her new root, and meridians grew out of it.

Alex couldn't tell whether he was just lucky, or if his pill worked just that well. He had formed the recipe using his knowledge from the Book of Boundless Healing, so there was a lot more nuance in the pill than what existed out there.

He chose to believe that it was the pill.

The older Alex and Emily were now free to pursue Dao as much as they wanted to, which they very much did. They began sitting around the World Tree since then, absorbing its Qi, as that was the only Qi they could absorb.

With that done, Alex could spare his attention back toward the other matters. Shumi arrived back around to keep him company while he absorbed the Void once again and only left when he left to absorb the

Sun.

After a few times of doing that, however, he knew that he couldn't. continue like this anymore. He had been putting off his last Creation for quite some time now, so he needed to get right to it.

And he did.

Memory lay before Alex at the base of the hill, Shumi staying off to the side. She was interested in what Alex was going to do, so she very much wanted to be here when he succeeded in this impossible task. For some reason, she had already accepted the fact that he was going to succeed, despite not really understanding what he was even going to do. He had shown her enough surprises that this one seemed just as normal as well.

Alex explained what he was planning on doing.

"I have a few pill ingredients gathered over the last couple of years

which I'm going to make pills from. Each pill will allow me to form a Pill Cloud, which I'll try to read into and learn about its aura."

"And absorb it?" Shumi asked.

"Not yet. For now, I'm only learning it. I will also be going through some Immortal Tribulations to try and learn the aura of that cloud too. Together, I hope to understand the nuances between the two clouds and create my own aura in the end that I will convert into my Creation."

Shumi considered his idea for a moment and gave a thoughtful nod. "Good luck."

Alex began immediately after, making one of the pills meant for his mind. This was the pill for which the ingredients had been given to him by the ape back in the White Tiger's Palace, and now he was making proper pills out of them.

He took his time with the pill, employing no other Daos or abilities to help him make the pill faster. Speed wasn't a necessary element in his task, and more importantly, he needed to keep his mental energy in check.

Then, as the pill came close to formation, Alex ate three separate pills. One of the pills helped condense his mental energy until it was far less than even a tenth of the original volume.

The other pill helped his mind go through his thoughts faster while clearing it of any vagrant thoughts.

And the final one improved his mental energy recovery.

With those three pills, Alex could utilize his spiritual energy far better than any Immortal realm cultivator could, and would hopefully allow him to peer into the secrets of the heavens.

As the pill came to be, Alex quickly formed it into a sphere and watched as the Pill Clouds appeared inside the barrier, hovering high above as they prepared to strike down with lightning.

Shumi could only watch in shock at how easily Alex had made the Pill Clouds form. She knew a decent amount about alchemists, and thus knew enough to know that making a Pill Cloud form was one of the greatest achievements an Alchemist could accomplish. There were ways to cheat around that to help improve the chances, but that still did not guarantee a Pill Cloud to form.

So, the fact that Alex had done so in a single go was enough to amaze her. She could only imagine the sort of boon she would be doing to her people if she took him to the demon realm. But alas, she couldn't. Memory came alive in that moment, creating a massive barrier above her that could protect her from the Pill Lightning. She usually let Alex handle this task too, since it was that simple, but because Alex was now focused on the clouds, she handled this task.

With each lightning bolt she defended against, she could absorb the energy from it and use it against the next bolt of lightning. That way, she could keep defending the pill from multiple Pill Lightnings before she needed any help from the outside.

That gave Alex ample time to look into the Pill Clouds and learn what he could.

Alex had his senses focused on the clouds the moment they had

appeared. He could have slowed down time to give himself a long period with the clouds, but instead he chose to use the energy he had to read into the clouds, even if they would vanish in no more than half

a minute.

Alex had tried learning from these clouds before, but each time he had ended up with nothing he could use. However, this time, there

was something different.

Alex first waved it away as a result of the pills he had eaten, but as seconds passed, he realized there was definitely something different. While he tried to read the clouds with his spiritual energy, he almost had a feeling that the cloud was reading him back.

Alex got the impression that it was trying to relinquish control over to him, but had to first verify whether he was who it wanted or not.

And at every moment, it failed to do so.

Alex only then realized that the Pill Clouds were attempting to figure

out whether he was the Sun God or not.

And from the result, it appeared that not even the Heavens were

aware of the answer.
