Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3370 The Wu Family Palace

Chapter 3370 The Wu Family Palace

The Wu Clan had a better hierarchical structure than the Winterborn Dragons. The monkeys had a definite main bloodline, which was the royal family of the continent, and branches that the others fell into.

As such, they had an emperor, an empress, a host of other wives and concubines of the emperor, along with many princes and princesses. With the emperor away for the moment, the Celestials Irontail and Peachbone had taken the opportunity to host Alex. They took him and the group into the main palace of the clan and quickly served him refreshments.

"Will you really only be staying here for less than 2 days?" Irontail asked. "Isn't that far too short a time?"

"I would love to stay longer, but I cannot," Alex answered. "I have a reason to hurry back to the Human realms, so I must leave this realm as soon as I can. I would've left sooner had I not needed to spend a week here so the teleportation formation could be prepared for our departure."

"That's... a shame," Peachbone said. "We would've loved for you to stay longer."

There wasn't much Alex could say to that except give them a soft smile. He enjoyed the refreshments that were brought along, which were done by a certain species of beast that he began noticing only after a while.

Each of the servants were four-legged beasts with deer-like proportions about them. Having seen someone with the blood of this very primordial before, Alex realized what they all were.

He didn't say anything immediately, simply keeping an eye on the servants that walked around the palace.

"There is so much we wished to show you," Irontail said. "But two days is just not enough, I'm afraid."

"That's something I am saddened about as well," Alex said. "That reminds me, I didn't see the Second Scar when I was coming here. Is the Second Scar not near here?"

Peachbone shook his head. "The Second Scar is a good distance away from here. It would take you half a day to get there on a Divine grade ship."

"That's quite far," Alex said with a hint of surprise. "Considering your family is the ruler of the Second Scar, I had assumed you would be close by to it."

"That's..." neither Irontail nor Peachbone seemed willing to answer his curiosity right away.

Alex waited for them to answer, but before they could, a few figures walked into the hall where they were gathered.

Alex turned around to see a group of Whitehead Monkeys ranging from someone who looked young to some who were quite old.

The oldest among them, a female Whitehead Monkey, stepped forward and bowed. "The princes and princesses of the royal family greet our guests and give them a warm welcome to our home."

"Ah, they're here. Their father is absent, but we have the princes and princesses," Irontail quickly said. "These aren't all of them, but these are likely the only ones that are home right now."

Alex looked at the group that had come, and his eyes landed on a male monkey who stared back at him with somewhat wide eyes.

Wu Tanglan had been more or less dragged there to greet their guests, but he could have never guessed who their guests could have been.

A look of seething anger flared upon him, but as Alex and the rest were guests of the family, he could only swallow that anger for the moment and remain quiet, letting his elder sister speak.

The White Tiger patriarch nodded. "The Emperor has sired some

incredible children, it seems. Four of them are in the Divine realm already. The Emperor himself is only in the Divine Domain realm, is that right?"

"That is correct," Irontail said. "His children have done quite well as well. Yunming here is the oldest and was the first to reach the Divine realm. Tanglan is the fourth, who only recently became a Divinity. The rest will take some time, but there should be at least a dozen Divinities within the next few millennia."

"We've met with Prince Tanglan before," Bai Jingshen spoke up, looking at the monkey. "He did quite well in the trial back in the Sun's Talon realm, reaching the 8th trial, I believe."

"Ah, yes. Tanglan is quite talented. He's the fourth among his siblings to reach Divinity, but he's in fact younger than two dozen other princes and princesses. His talent is nothing to scoff at."

"I can see that," Bai Jingshen said. "Prince Tanglan, what trial did you stop at during your final visit? Did you cross the 8th island?"

Wu Tanglan gritted his teeth, but tried not to show it. "I failed at the 8th island once again."

"Ah! That's a shame," Bai Jingshen said. "Pearl here reached the 9th

island."

Wu Tanglan scoffed. "Of course he did. He had help. He would've failed long ago without any aid."

"Tanglan!" Irontail spoke in a stern tone, scolding him for the way he

spoke.

Wu Tanglan shrank a little, keeping his mouth shut.

"Well, it shouldn't matter who reached where in the trial, since it

wasn't meant for them in the first place," the White Tiger patriarch

said, smoothing the situation while glaring at Bai Jingshen for trying

to rile up the monkey.

Bai Jingshen gave not a single glance toward the patriarch and simply

sat there with a smug look on his face.

The other princes and princesses were slowly introduced as well, and not long after that, they were sent back. Once they were gone, the two Celestial monkeys kept the conversation up for a while before deciding to take Alex and the rest on a tour around their palace. The Whitehead Monkey's palace, while not as grand as the others Alex had seen, was still big and filled with anything and everything one could need, from alchemy gardens to training halls to massive

libraries.

Wherever he went, however, Alex found himself searching for and finding just the same thing over and over again.

Each and every one of the servants, or more likely slaves, within the Whitehead Monkey's family were all beasts who had the bloodline of

the Qilin.
