Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3476: Claims

Chapter 3476: Claims

Alex watched as the woman on the screen hit her gavel three times, announcing that the pills were sold. The 30 pills sold for 860 thousand Immortal spirit stones. Each pill sold for over 28 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

He would have never guessed that.

"Senior," Alex called out. "Do you know why those pills managed to get such high bids?"

The two other Divinities turned toward Alex, a strange look on their faces.

"High?" the prince asked with a similarly strange look. "I mean, it certainly got a lot higher than it should, but that’s obvious considering you’re getting 30 pills with pill veins at the same time."

"Really?" Alex asked, frowning somewhat.

His only experience with selling pills was back in the Myriad Spirit Realm through his Dawn Apothecary Store. Due to his lack of cultivation, his pills never had more than 2 or 3 pill veins back then.

Even so, those pills sold for up to a few thousand spirit stones, only sometimes reaching 10 thousand. In the Medicine World, he hadn’t sold any pills, but he was privy to the prices of that place. And the pills there were quite a lot cheaper, which was what he had the most experience with.

For a pill to reach over 20 thousand Immortal spirit stones, he would have assumed it would need to be a pill with 9 pill veins, and yet that was clearly not the case.

"Have you not purchased a good pill before?" the female royal guard asked in a strange voice.

"I have not," Alex said, which surprised the other two in the group.

Wineshard, however, understood immediately.

"You have never had to buy pills, have you?" he asked, turning to the other two. "He is a great alchemist. You can’t forget about that."

Looks of realization flashed through the other two.

Alex nodded at Wineshard’s words. "I haven’t bought pills, but I’ve still sold them, and they’ve never sold this high," he said.

Wineshard thought for a moment before asking, "Have you ever sold your pills in an auction?"

"No," Alex said.

"Those increase the prices by a lot," the prince said. "And you are likely unaware of the cost of the alchemy ingredients out here in the Sacred Lotus Dominion since you only have experience with the Medicine World’s prices. They can get quite expensive. Add that to the fact that there are so few great alchemists in this world, these pills end up costing a lot."

Alex blinked. "Really? Is there really such a lack of alchemists in this world?"

"Yes. At least... not to the same level as what you and your peers showed back in the Alchemy Tournament. Such talents are hard to come by," the prince said.

"Have you put up any of your pills for auction here? They might even reach higher," the balding man said.

Alex shook his head. "I didn’t get the chance."

"He learned about the auction itself far too late," the prince explained.

"Oh. That’s a shame. With your reputation alone, the pills would’ve sold for a high price," the Reverend said.

Alex only gave a small smile. He hadn’t spoken from the perspective of someone who had missed out on earnings. He already had more than enough spirit stones anyway. He was simply surprised at how high the prices could get and thus understood better now how much his talent was worth.

"How many could you have put up if you had known about the auction beforehand?" the prince suddenly asked.

"Pills?" Alex asked, falling into thought. "I suppose it depends on how much I wanted to earn."

"Say you want to earn as much as you can," the man said.

"It’s hard to say. On one hand, I could make a lot, but on the other hand, with so much supply, it would be difficult to earn much, wouldn’t it?" Alex asked. "Still, I would’ve sold a few thousand pills."

"No, no," the prince quickly added. "We’re only talking about the pills with pill veins here."

Alex nodded. "I don’t make pills without pill veins."

The prince was struck stunned by Alex’s reply. "How many pill veins?" he asked.

"All of them," Alex claimed.

"You’re just pulling our legs at this point, aren’t you?" the Reverend said with a light laugh. "No one could make so many pills."

"I can," Alex said without a hint of arrogance. "You could just look at the final competition of the tournament and see my performance. Or if you wish to learn it firsthand, ask the disciples of the Beast God’s palace. I recently made thousands of pills for them, each with 9 pill veins."

His words left the three in an even more stunned state than before. His words were just at the precipice of sounding like a complete lie, and yet because of who he was, in addition to the feeling he gave off, no one there could believe he was lying.

In such a case, they could only try to wrap their heads around how he could have possibly done such a thing.

Alex looked away, returning his attention to the images before him as the woman had long since moved on to the next few items, starting more bidding wars.

The items sold were clearly sorted in a way where each one would be better than the last, thus bringing in more bids. Only a few times had there been an upset to such an order.

"And sold!" the woman said in a sonorous voice as the final bid for a rare flower went through. A group of workers walked away with the flower and brought out another table with an item hidden underneath a red cloth.

"Next up," she said as she pulled away the cloth.

She revealed a brilliant green sword with an emerald sheen upon it. The edges of the sword seemed especially sharp, and there was the slightest curve to them.

"This is called the Jade Fang," the woman introduced the sword. "And it is said to be created by none other than the first Artifact God."
