Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3475: The Great Spiral Auction Hall

Chapter 3475: The Great Spiral Auction Hall

The Great Spiral Auction Hall was, true to its name, a massive building with a giant auction hall at the bottom, with two spiraling towers climbing up high into the sky.

The base hall was where the auction happened and where the regular people would stay. The spiraling towers held numerous rooms in them, where the VIPs would stay.

Once Alex and Wineshard arrived at the auction house, the owner of the auction house welcomed them and quickly showed them to a room at the top of the two towers. The room was set up with all sorts of formations to keep the people’s privacy, and the auction itself was broadcast into the room without anyone having to leave it.

There were several seats available in the room, and aside from Alex and Wineshard, there were also 2 more people attending the auction with them.

Both of them were Divinities. The balding man was a Reverend of the Wine God, while the older woman was a high-ranking member of the royal guards.

Alex did ask how they were not one and the same, but it turned out that the Wine God chose to keep his cult separate from his royal retinue.

These two were both there under Wineshard’s request, so Alex could hardly complain about their presence. Not that he had any intention to. Their presence meant little to him anyway.

"Are you excited about any of them?" Wineshard asked Alex.

"A few," Alex answered. "Although, an Immortal like me would likely not get a chance to win any of the high-ranking items."

The prince chuckled. "I would have offered to purchase them on your behalf, but I have doubts that I would even get a chance to purchase them. There are far too many people here with wealth that goes deeper than I can imagine."

"That’s fine, senior. What I am interested in shouldn’t be that expensive in the end."

"What are you interested in?" Wineshard asked, curious.

"It’s a sword that caught my eye," Alex answered.

"A sword? Ah. Do you not have a good sword? It’s not a bad idea to purchase one from here. There should be plenty of good swords in the auction. Some have perhaps not even been announced publicly yet."

Alex couldn’t argue with the fact that there were truly some great items being auctioned away. The 3 greatest items that were publicly announced to be auctioned away today included a mirror, a chalice, and the egg of a draconic beast that was a descendant of the Yellow Dragon, a Primordial.

There could even be some more items that were being kept hidden as they were the best of the best.

Alex chatted with the prince for a short period before the auction finally began. The visuals from the stage far below appeared on the empty wall of their room, as a woman of indescribable beauty came onto the stage to start the auction.

After a brief introduction of herself and the Great Spiral Auction Hall, she brought out the first of the many items in the auction.

Nothing below the Immortal grade was being sold in this auction, so the very first item being auctioned off was an Immortal-grade flute that, when used by a talented individual, could create music capable of interfering with another cultivator in both minor and major ways.

The bidding started at 5000 Immortal spirit stones.

There weren’t many people that were interested in an artifact as simple as that, but there were still some willing to purchase it. There were a couple of bids, followed by a bid of 11 thousand Immortal spirit stones from a person in one of the many VIP rooms, which stopped everyone else from bidding.

The artifact just wasn’t worth bidding for at that point.

With the artifact going to the VIP, the woman brought out the next item.

The auction house cycled through items, never auctioning two of the same type consecutively.

After the flute, they auctioned away some bottles of ink and talisman paper created by a somewhat well-known talisman maker within the city.

The highest bid for that ended at 15 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

A pile of formation flags was auctioned next, capable of creating a highly efficient formation that could physically keep away anyone below the Divine realm and also stop Divine senses from freely entering it.

It was a great artifact for privacy, so it was sold for a surprisingly high amount of 32 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

An Immortal cultivation technique was sold afterward, which went for a smaller amount than everyone thought it would, at 17 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

Next was a set of three female robes with intricate designs and patterns made of high-quality silk threads. Those robes sold for a higher amount, reaching about 40 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

Some more items were auctioned off, each one bringing on a bidding war that pushed the prices into the hundred-thousand range.

That was still only the starting stage, as Divine spirit stones weren’t even mentioned yet, which was what most people would use to bid on the truly valuable items in the auction.

After a few more items, 3 pill bottles containing 30 pills in total were presented.

Alex grew quite interested when the pills appeared in the auction. The pills themselves were rather simple, as they were normal cultivation pills, but they were special in the fact that each one had pill veins.

They weren’t special to him, but to many of the people in the auction house, they certainly were.

With no more than 4 or 5 pill veins in each pill, Alex expected them to reach somewhere between 10 and 20 thousand each, for a total of around 500 thousand Immortal spirit stones.

And yet, when the auction actually started, he was quite surprised by how easily they reached the 500 thousand range, and then surpassed it.

And the price only kept increasing after that.

After multiple different biddings and what felt like 10 minutes, the bidding finally came to an end, and the 30 pills were sold for an absurdly high amount of 860 thousand Immortal spirit stones.
