Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3527 Final Preparations

Chapter 3527 Final Preparations

Alex decided to shelve any plans he had regarding spirit roots for now. He needed to understand them a lot more before he could deal with them.

The matter of Unity itself was one thing, but now he needed to understand why and how having seven roots made everything better. As far as he could understand from the knowledge he had received, it was better to get the roots in a very specific order, using the weaker ones in a way where they could handle each other, letting the stronger ones be free to function as they were.

It mentioned the possibility of one rendering their entire spirit roots useless if they mindlessly improved every single one of them, but that clearly wasn't true at all. All of Alex's spirit roots were of the superior variety, with three of them even being in the Supreme grade.

And he had no issues with any of them in any way.

That, of course, didn't mean that what he had learned was wrong either. It was likely that no one had attempted to improve their spirit roots to the highest grade while having all seven of them, so knowledge of such cases was far too rare to know anything about.

Alex also believed that the knowledge wasn't entirely wrong either. It was likely that one's cultivation speed did deteriorate if they mindlessly improved all of their spirit roots. However, there had to come a point where the degradation flipped and everything got better again.

If Alex had to guess, it would be around the stage when the Unity was high enough for one to be capable of surviving mental takeovers.

Alex wished there was more to learn, but he was worried that he wouldn't find much about it.

"This thing comes from the demons' side, so I might not learn much about this from the human side, Alex thought. Still, he would have to

ask the Wine God at some point and see what he could find.

With that decided, Alex began properly cultivating again, getting ready to fill the rest of his origins. He was still only fully done with three of them, and two of them came from other spirits taking over them.

So there was much to work on.

He also had to learn the Sun Fire, which would still take him some time. Since there was nothing else left to do as he was, Alex spent all of his time doing just that. That was the perfect way to spend his remaining time in this world before he headed over to the Sky God's Palace.

Whisker sat underneath the World Tree, holding the Frostfire Inkbrush in his two hands, with which he carved onto a dragon scale that was three times his current size. He was decently big for the purpose of carving runes onto the dragon scales, and still, a mere Saint-grade Azure Dragon scale was bigger than him.

Sometimes, he wondered just how big those beasts could actually get. Those with the Heavenly Beast and Primordial bloodlines had the ability to grow to an unimaginable size.

He carefully worked on the scale before him, carving the runes with utmost precision, ignoring the man that had come behind him at some point.

Battlesage said nothing, simply watching Whisker work from a short distance away.

When he finally finished the work, he placed the scale aside and turned to the man. "Are you done with your share?" Whisker asked.

The old man gave a grin. "I have some left, but I thought we could rest for a bit. How about we go fight each other? We barely have had the time for that."

Whisker didn't know what to say. "Shouldn't we finish this quickly first? We can train afterward," he said.

"We're already over 5000. The final thousand are merely spares. We can do them afterward too," Battlesage explained.

"Still... should we be slacking off?" he asked.

Battlesage realized it would be difficult to persuade Whisker this way. "How about this? Fight me in a battle, and if you win just twice in ten matches, I won't complain until we're done with all of this," the old man said.

Whisker could see the man's desire to avoid work, so he couldn't help but sigh.

"I have a few things to do first. Why don't you go set things up? I'll come right over."

Battlesage grinned like a child. "Hurry up, okay?"

Whisker nodded and turned around. He looked at the piles of scales that were ready to be placed around the secret realm. He had carved maybe a fourth of everything, making some mistakes overall. Among the 1500 or so scales he worked with, he had to throw away around

30 of them.

While they were thrown away, they weren't exactly wasted. Alex could easily use them as materials for artifacts later anyway. Given how the man had worked with the rest of them, it was easy to see that he would be bored and want to occupy his mind elsewhere. Since he liked battles so much in the Battle Mimicry Artifact, Whisker was willing to help him.

He hardly won, but the old man only wanted a companion to fight

against.

Whisker had to hurry over to the man, but he had some important tasks to get to first.

The mulberry trees had to be looked after and the Heavenly

Silkworms fed. Since Alex had sold a bunch, it was his job to do the best he could to help populate them all.

Next, he had to feed the World Tree and the Nine Yang Divine Tree. They ate pretty much anything at all, which at this point included Divine-grade poison plants from one of the many other islands that had merged with this one.

After that, he had to go feed the pillbugs. Alex had gathered a lot of his blood, so all he had to do was pour a certain portion onto them

and leave.

Whisker did it as he had been doing for many months in a row. However, this time around, something happened.

The pillbugs stopped eating.
