Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 463: Gap

Chapter 463: Gap

Liora did not hold back in the slightest. Showing no intention of replying, she attacked before the Fire Elemental could finish its words.

The Devil Empress’s Furnace materialized above her head.

With Sinforce coursing through it, its aura grew ever more majestic, filling the air with the smell of sulfur.

This time, she didn’t urge it to devour the Fire Elemental.

Lava and colorful flames spewed out of its mouth, making it seem more like a Fire Elemental than its enemy.

At the same time, Liora activated the upgraded Snake of Time.

The illusory river transformed into a dragon, letting out a roar and lunging at its opponent. Its mouth was open, with every intention to devour it.

She still felt that this was not enough.

Her forehead cracked, and a third, golden eye peeked out, while a small domain crashed onto her opponent, as if an entire world had slammed on it.

Liora’s World of Heart.

This powerful ability, which was already extremely useful in the past, had turned even more terrifying after her advancement, having taken another step towards becoming a real world.

The moment the World of Heart crashed onto it, the Fire Elemental felt its strength drop by more than fifty percent.

It was astonished, not understanding how a single ability could possess terrifying power.

Still, the Fire Elemental remained calm.

Staring at the blows firing in its direction, it merely chuckled.

"Have you never fought against Elementals before?"

"Save your breath. It’s impossible to kill me before my companions arrive. If I were in your shoes, I’d flee instead."

The moment its words fell, the Fire Elemental’s body burst into orange flames.

They looked no different than the flames that virtually all Fire Elementals could manipulate.

Yet, anyone familiar with an Archdevil’s abilities would realize what was happening.

Throne Incarnation! The Fire Elemental had not transformed into flames, but into the very concept of fire.

This would have been shocking if it were any other Creation Stage Archdevil. But for an Elemental, this was a normal occurrence.

No matter how weak and untalented an Elemental was, they would naturally awaken Throne Incarnation upon reaching the Archdevil stage.

No wonder this person dared to be so arrogant!

As someone who could also cast Throne Incarnation, Liora understood the difficulty of killing such a being the best.

Yet, she did not lessen the force of her attacks.

If anything, her blows grew stronger and faster, as her Sinforce continuously poured into them, as if a dam had burst.

The next moment, three unique powers collided under the blessing of her World of Heart.

The concept of fire transformed from the Fire Elemental, the blazing flames of the Devil Empress’s Furnace, and the illusory transcendence of the Snake of Time.

Having cast Throne Incarnation, the Fire Elemental should have been nearly invulnerable.

However, a shrill cry came out of its mouth as soon as the three collided.

The flames of the Devil Empress’s Furnace attached to the concept of fire he now represented and attempted to devour it.

Being a Fire Elemental, it had originally mocked her attempt to use fire against it.

Yet, the expected outcome did not happen. The moment the two touched, the colorful flames suppressed it instead!

A similar situation occurred when the Snake of Time arrived.

The concept of life itself seemed to be driven to extinction, and the Fire Elemental’s vitality was rapidly drained away, as if sucked by an invisible being.

More shockingly, the Fire Elemental discovered that the cooperation of all the forces had locked it in place.

It could not move or escape, ending up in a contest of which of the two would last longer.

Alarm bells rang in its heart, but it remained strangely calm.

It had sent a message to its companions the moment it encountered Liora. As long as a few moments passed, they would rush to this place and help it.

Not only would they save its life, but they would assist it in exacting its revenge.

...At least, that was what the Fire Elemental hoped was the case.

Yet, Liora’s next actions shattered that little dream.

She suddenly operated the Primordial Sin Art she had only recently comprehended.

Immediately, Sinforce emerged from her body and gathered in the space behind her, transforming into a giant phantom.

As Sinforce continued pouring into it, its illusory nature was gradually wiped away.

Before long, the phantom had transformed into an exact replica of Liora.

The only difference was its size, as it stretched for hundreds of meters tall, and the expression it wore.

Its eyes were scarlet. Not the crimson of Liora’s eyes, but a deeper, more predatory glint.

Similarly, the way it stared at the Fire Elemental was similar to the gaze of a predator eyeing its prey.

Greed! Gluttony!

Two of the Seven Deadly Sins matching two of the Levels of the Primordial Sin Art that Liora had comprehended.

Being watched by this phantom, the Fire Elemental felt its heart shake.

It wanted to say something, to plead for mercy, but it was already too late.

Liora showed no mercy.

The phantom, seemingly being the embodiment of all greed and gluttony in this world, opened its mouth wide.

Following a sharp inhale, it sucked the Fire Elemental into its mouth.

Though the opponent struggled violently, it was powerless to resist, barely able to make a few bumps along its stomach.

Upon seeing this, Liora acted quickly. The Devil Empress’s Furnace slammed onto the phantom, its mouth widening enough to devour it.

As an extension of hers, the phantom did not struggle. It let the Devil Empress’s Furnace swallow it whole, bringing the Fire Elemental with it.

The furnace quickly grew smaller.

In the end, it shrank to the size of a human fist and landed gently on top of Liora’s outstretched palm.

A lot had happened, with Liora having activated several abilities of hers.

Yet, the battle had only lasted a few moments from start to finish, fully showcasing the difference between Creation Stage Devils and a person like Liora, whose combat power was among the top in the Throne Stage.

The Fire Elemental didn’t even have the chance to try to hurt Alpha, let alone wait for its companions to arrive.

It had easily fallen into Liora’s hands, ready to be stripped of all its possessions and become her nourishment.

Of course, now was not the time to do this.

After raising her hand and punching the land below, erasing all traces of their battle, Liora wrapped Alpha with her demonic energy and fled into the distance.

She could sense several powerful auras rushing to this place, obviously the companions the Fire Elemental had mentioned earlier.

Though she sensed no Throne Stage beings among them, she wouldn’t stay to test her luck.

The Fire Elemental’s earlier words were true. There was really no benefit in fighting against them at this point in time.

The only reason she worked so hard to kill this person was not because of the benefits attached, but...

Liora subconsciously glanced at Alpha before urging her speed.
