Chapter 705: Age of Magic
Chapter 705: Age of Magic
The overwhelming aura spread throughout the Mortal Plane, threatening to shake the stability of the entire continent.
Whether it was the human race, which had given birth to a Demigod and obtained the Magic Network, or the other races, which had to think about how to deal with the emerging human race, they all became chaotic.
Perhaps because of this, no one noticed that two women passed through the world’s membrane and descended upon this Plane.
“I didn’t expect that we would arrive at this time…” Liora whispered upon feeling the soaring aura.
She had been paying attention to the Veythalis World over the years.
After all, it was the only world within the Cosmic Sea that had been integrated with her Kingdom of God and even shared her name.
Whether it was because of its potential or because it was the place that had granted her the status of a Dragon of Creation, she ought to pay attention to it.
As such, she had long noticed the struggles of the human race, as well as the chaotic state of the Mortal Plane.
She had not interfered.
Although she had obtained the status of the Human Emperor in the Cosmic Universe, Liora had not forgotten her true roots.
She was never a human and had no emotional attachment to this race. She had merely inherited the Human Emperor status to improve her strength.
If she could improve her strength again by shedding that status, she would immediately make that choice.
Despite this, she had never believed that humanity would struggle forever.
Traces of the human race could be found in nearly every world. For them to have spread so far and hold an apex position in so many worlds, there had to be something special about them.
Indeed.
Even without her involvement, the human race had found a way to deal with the danger of extinction.
Liora looked toward the sky.
By now, the original azure web had become invisible to all beings. But she could see it clearly.
Not only its outward appearance but its true function as well.
“The Magic Network…” she muttered. With a single glance, she was able to see through its potential.
“It’s no wonder that it allowed someone to light the Divine Fire and become a Demigod.”
“As long as the Magic Network is developed further, there is a chance for someone to use it as a springboard to ascend to the Divine Plane.”
They would be the first to do so. No God had been born so far in Veythalis World.
After several seconds, Liora organized her thoughts.
She turned toward Ysset.
Unlike Liora, who was already familiar with this world’s situation and could quickly accept everything, Ysset did not fare so well.
This white dragon, upon sensing the soaring aura of Divinity, couldn’t help but flinch.
She could tell that although its owner had only just advanced to this level, they could very well pose a threat to her!
How was this possible?
Although both were at Rank 10, the difference between Emperors could be massive.
She, a Dragon with a stimulated bloodline, should have few opponents at the same Rank.
She could accept the War God being stronger than her. He was an ancient powerhouse born and raised in the Cosmic Universe, where more powerhouses gathered.
But this person had only just advanced. Moreover, in her opinion, this place was similar to the Blood Forest Realm, as it was not part of the Cosmic Universe.
It should not have been able to give birth to such a genius.
Worst of all?
Ysset could sense several auras that were even more powerful than that of Hermes, hidden in this world.
Had Liora not taken the initiative to conceal them both, it was highly likely that she would have discovered her by now.
The more Ysset thought about it, the more shocked she became.
It was no wonder her master claimed that this place had the opportunity for her advancement.
On the other hand, Liora was not as shocked.
After taking one more look at the Mortal Plane, she wrapped Ysset in her power and guided her elsewhere.
—
Hermes couldn’t help but burst with excitement when he sensed the scorching flame inside his soul space.
It shone with a golden, holy light, possessing the power of Divinity.
Divine Fire!
The peak stage developed by countless generations in the Mortal Plane and the final step before one became a God.
As long as the Divine Fire absorbed enough faith and its owner’s Laws were powerful enough to sustain Divine Power, they would be able to enter the Divine Plane.
Hermes was ecstatic. He really wanted to enter seclusion and study his newfound abilities.
Unfortunately, he knew now was not the time.
His advancement had obviously plunged the world into chaos.
As the strongest person in humanity, he had to deal with it. Otherwise, the human race would suffer greatly.
Unlike in the past, however, when he had been nervous and anxious about it, he was now filled with confidence.
A being who had lit the Divine Fire was more than enough to deal with any danger.
With him as its support and the assistance of the Magic Network, humanity would surely prosper!
Hermes was about to leave the tower and deal with the aftermath.
But just then, he sensed a blur of motion behind him.
Just as he was shocked, wondering who could have possibly intruded upon his magic tower, a soft female voice echoed.
“Year 18,402,601 of the Age of Chaos. Mage Hermes established the Magic Network, opening a path for all future Mages.”
“With his great achievements, he was able to take the opportunity to light the Divine Fire, opening a new chapter in the history of the Veythalis World.”
“From this day onward, the pages of history have begun to turn. The Age of Magic has arrived!…”
“Age of Creation. Age of Chaos. Age of Magic.”
“I shall bear witness to all of these.”
