Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 727: Aftermath

Chapter 727: Aftermath

When Liora emerged again, she was in the real Cosmic Universe. Or rather, in its outer layer.

Her gaze swept through her surroundings indifferently.

In her current state, the entire universe was visible to her and within grasp.

Everything within it no longer held any secrets from her.

Thus, she immediately noticed several hidden areas, all carved into the deepest layers of space and concealed using mysterious methods.

Facing these forbidden areas, even Rank 14 Awakeners would struggle to discover them.

Yet Liora was able to see through them clearly.

Not only their present state, but also their past and future.

She didn’t need an explanation of how they had been formed. Their history existed in the Cosmic Universe, and she, its Will, could instantly see it.

“Sure enough, Elaouthr and the Divine Emperor are far from being the only beings hidden from the past Eras. Many others have survived.” Liora whispered.

There were many powerful beings hidden in the Cosmic Universe.

At the very least, Liora could see hundreds of them.

Although such a number seemed small considering the world’s scale, one had to know that every being that had survived the Era’s destruction was the strongest of their time, being at least a Rank 13 expert.

Afterward, they would have to survive Era destruction after Era destruction.

Those that remained possessed powerful strength and unfathomable means.

“The existence of these people is also one of the major reasons behind the Cosmic Universe’s current state.”

“If all these people had been killed together with their Eras, the Cosmic Universe’s lifespan would have been much longer.”

“There is no way the Hollow Ancestor would have succeeded in his plan.”

Since the Land of Nothingness had disappeared, this was no longer a problem.

The universe could now absorb energy from the Origin Sea freely, without a leech to take it away.

Yet Liora was not planning to let these “troublemakers” go.

“Even if these people are willing to surrender under the threat of my power, there is no reason for me to take such a risk.”

“I have a nearly infinite lifespan and the Cosmic Universe. Dying is almost impossible.”

“I have a lot of time to wait.”

“As long as I’m patient, Rank 13 beings can continuously be born within this world.”

With that thought, Liora no longer hesitated.

At hundreds of different locations within the universe, mysterious powers surged.

They seeped into the space layers and crashed into the forbidden areas.

The beings sealed inside, who had been waiting for their rebirth, didn’t even have a chance to awaken.

They had no chance of resisting Liora at their peak, much less now, when they were half-dead and lingering.

Before any of them could react, their existence was wiped out.

Their past, present, and future were erased.

With their deaths, Liora noticed several traces of World Origin being “born” inside the universe’s core.

It was the energy these beings had “plundered” during their journey.

Although they were only a few hundred beings, the World Origin they provided was massive, filling a large part of the core.

Liora had a realization upon seeing this.

“In every world, most of the energy is accumulated in its most powerful individuals.”

“The World Origin a Rank 13 Awakener has ‘plundered’ is trillions of times greater than that of a Rank 7 Awakener.”

After mulling over these matters briefly, Liora waved her hand, collecting the powerhouses’ belongings.

Then, her figure flashed again.

This time, she appeared directly within the territory of the Human Federation.

More specifically, she landed in a large mansion.

With her strength, no one in the Cosmic Universe could detect her.

Even though she was standing right in front of a young woman, the other party had no reaction to her arrival.

It was only when she deliberately made some noise that the other party seemed to have woken up.

Janna was shocked. She was furious at first, but seeing Liora’s appearance, memories surfaced in her mind.

Part of them were from when her father had led her to join the Human School and the two had met.

Most of them, though, were from only a few hours ago.

She was stunned.

She could not understand why Liora had decided to visit her at this time.

Even so, knowing full well the other party’s strength and status, she didn’t dare to be disrespectful.

“Human Emperor!” Janna bowed.

Liora immediately waved her hand, her power helping her rise.

Then, she took a closer look at the anxious Janna for the first time.

A strange expression flashed across her face before she opened her mouth to speak.

“Do you know why I visited you today?” she asked.

Janna shook her head. She hesitated.

“Your Excellency, could it be that there is something that requires my assistance?”

This was the only explanation Janna could think of.

But even then, she could not understand what she, a mere World Lord, could possibly help Liora with.

In response to her words, Liora chuckled.

“It seems that you haven’t awakened your memories yet. Is this the way you chose to smuggle yourself into the present Era?”

“Other people are merely slumbering, waiting for an opportunity to be born. Meanwhile, you have directly reincarnated as a new individual.”

Janna was puzzled. Liora’s words made no sense to her.

Unfortunately, Liora did not explain.

She directly took action.

With a thought, a figure made from faith flew out of a golden kingdom and appeared in her hands.

As she squeezed it, it exploded into golden fragments.

Liora did not absorb this faith.

Instead, she lightly flicked it, sending it into Janna.

A golden sheen flashed across her body.

The panicked expression on Janna’s face gradually faded. Solemnity and indifference replaced it.

“Have I already awakened? Is it finally time?” A hoarse voice came out of her mouth.

Her words were full of majesty and oppression, as though the emperor of all races had descended into the world.

When she sensed her current strength, however, she realized something was wrong.

Her gaze swept through her surroundings.

When it landed on Liora, her pupils shrank.

“How is this possible?!”
