Chapter 759: Seven Sin Races
Chapter 759: Seven Sin Races
The complete silence signaled the end of today’s matters.
Everyone realized that no further fight would ensue, as every Ruler had already accepted Liora’s position and the demotion of their own ranking.
Of course, the complete silence was only for the Demon World.
Liora, despite having successfully built her Demon Layer and become a Ruler, was still busy.
She had to take stock of everything that had happened and study the authority of a Ruler.
More importantly, she had to do something else…
—
Liora’s gaze swept across the seven continents, her eyes hiding an indescribable emotion.
For the first time since her birth in the River of Oblivion, she had found a place that she could call her own.
In the past, she had always been wandering, jumping from area to area and from world to world.
It was only now, with the creation of her own Demon Layer, that she finally had a place she could truly call “home.”
Unfortunately, this “home” was somewhat depilated.
Although countless landscapes had already been formed according to her will, the seven continents were devoid of any life.
Under the infusion of demonic energy, the nascent souls of some native creatures were indeed being born.
Moreover, as Young Devils advanced and ascended to the Demon World, a portion of them would arrive here, filling up the 17th Demon Layer.
However, both of these were bound to take some time. Time that would be measured in decades, if not centuries.
Under normal circumstances, other Ancient Devils would be willing to wait.
Liora, though, was not.
Thankfully, she had already thought of a way to rapidly increase the population of her Demon Layer.
More importantly, she could use this as an opportunity to pave the way for her future improvement.
Thinking of this, Liora’s mind stirred.
The concept of Sin erupted from her body, resonating with the seven continents that had already been imbued with a respective sin.
Stretching out her hand, a colony of “ants” appeared in her palm.
They were the residents of the two Demon Layers she had previously destroyed. Their numbers were innumerable, only slightly lower than the residents of the Cosmic Universe.
Liora had previously kept these Devils alive.
Now, however, their luck had obviously run out.
Abruptly, she clenched her fist.
The countless Devils in her hand had no chance to resist.
Without stopping the advance of her fingers for even a split second, their bodies suffered the formidable force and exploded.
Their souls were revealed.
In the past, Liora might have devoured them directly, converting them into Evolution Points.
Now, however, she had another goal in mind for them.
Glancing at the countless helpless souls, she casually waved her hand.
A gust of wind formed, enveloping the souls and dividing them into the seven continents below.
Within her body, the concept of Reincarnation she had only recently comprehended was activated.
Immediately, all these souls were washed away by an invisible black river, shedding their memories and all the emotions they had before death.
Then, they descended into the seven continents and were wrapped up by the power of Sin.
Countless cocoons appeared.
Inside them, the reincarnated souls rapidly absorbed the Sin to strengthen their essence so that they could be born.
Since each continent was based on a different Sin, the newly born “native” creatures possessed different characteristics.
Some were angry despite not even being born.
Others stared toward their companions with jealousy.
Some simply slept, unwilling to be involved in such matters.
Under the power of the Demon Layer, the reincarnated souls rapidly grew stronger.
Only a few minutes later, the first cocoon finally broke.
A succubus-like creature emerged from the crimson shell, with a bizarre appearance that was eerily alluring.
With the first, there was soon a second. Then a third and a fourth.
Before long, the reincarnated souls had all been born, divided into seven different races.
Seeing this and sensing that the power of Sin in the Demon Layer was increasing with every passing moment, Liora nodded.
She subconsciously circulated the Primordial Sin Art, absorbing it to strengthen the Sin Avatars.
The improvement was minuscule, not even 0.000000001%.
However, Liora was satisfied with this result.
One had to know that the reincarnated souls were only equivalent to Lesser Devils at the moment. Yet they were already enough to provide her with Sin.
If they grew stronger and their numbers increased, wouldn’t the Demon Layer alone be enough to sustain her practice?
“The Primordial Sin Art has stagnated since the Sin Avatars reached the Ancient Devil level.”
“The resources required to improve them any further are nearly impossible to gather. Even if I have Profane Offering, I cannot waste resources like this.”
“Now, with the establishment of the Demon Layer, the Sin Avatars can perhaps go a step further,” Liora whispered, clearly planning to use the Demon Layer as her training ground.
In fact, Sin was far from the only thing she was planning to absorb.
Besides that, she also targeted the residents’ souls!
With her authority as the 17th Demon Layer’s Ruler, she had directly imposed a restriction: every time a creature died inside the Demon Layer, twenty percent of its soul would belong to her.
That meant that without her needing to do anything, twenty percent of the souls within the layer would be converted into Evolution Points.
Liora did not know whether other Rulers imposed similar restrictions in their own territories.
However, she also didn’t care.
Looking at the seven Sin Races roaming the continents, divided by a crimson line that acted as the end of the world, Liora took action and opened several passages.
Then, she opened her mouth to speak.
Her voice echoed in the ears of every creature.
“From now on, all creatures can travel through these passages and invade the other Sin Continents.”
“As long as a Sin Race maintains ownership over an area, it will be regarded as their own.”
“Every century, the Sin Race with the largest territory will be rewarded!”
Her voice was cold.
In the ears of the seven Sin Races, these words were no different from Supreme Rules.
Just as every Devil would heed the Demon World’s instructions and complete its trials, the seven Sin Races followed Liora’s commands.
Given their intelligence, they understood the importance of territory.
They all wanted to obtain the promised rewards.
In unison, all the Sin Race members rushed toward the passages connecting to the other continents.
Their goals were different.
Some were ready to invade other continents. Others were planning to block the invading Sin Races.
Either way, the war was imminent!
Within hours of the 17th Demon Layer’s creation, it had already been plunged into chaos!
