Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 1120: Battle Conclusion [2]

Chapter 1120: Battle Conclusion [2]

Both crashed into the earth. The wolf struggled to free itself, but Beginning's knee pressed against its chest, pinning it down. One hand remained around its throat. The other rose.

The wolf's head struck the ground.

BOOM! Again. BOOM!

Michael's eyelids twitched.

"...Beginning. Finish it cleanly."

The fist stopped. Beginning stared at the wolf. Its hand tightened.

CRACK!

The wolf's neck broke.

Three Level 100 corpses now.

This time all undead targets converged on the wolf fighting the Bone Dragon. With five undead ganging up on it, the wolf that had initially been holding its own did not die a peaceful death.

In the distance, the two remaining Level 100 wolves were still fighting the Undead High Drake when they noticed that their fellow wolves had all fallen.

The Undead High Drake stood between the two with its enormous wings spread wide.

Compared to the two before it, it was in relatively good condition.

The two wolves had fought it together from the beginning, and after all of that, the High Drake was merely injured.

With Beginning and the others joining the Undead High Drake, the two remaining wolves did not die well, though to Michael's satisfaction their bodies were relatively intact.

At this point, the larger battle had already entered its final stages.

The outcome was no longer in question.

Scattered packs of wolves continued resisting across the destroyed Level 3 region, but the terrifying momentum they had possessed at the beginning was gone.

Every few seconds, another wolf fell, freeing several undead to join another battle.

Michael watched all of this from his hiding space. Then he finally stepped out. His pale figure silently emerged into the open. There was no longer much reason to remain hidden.

The ordinary wolves were nearly finished, the five Level 100 monsters had already died, and the beings inside the black barrier couldn't see what was happening outside anyway.

Michael looked around.

"...What a mess."

Calling the surrounding area a forest would have been generous.

The ancient trees that had once towered hundreds of meters into the sky were either uprooted, shattered, or burning. Entire mountains had collapsed.

Enormous craters covered the earth, while countless domains had permanently altered sections of the terrain.

One area had become a frozen wasteland. Another was filled with black flames.

Farther away, purple poisonous mist clung to the remains of several mountains.

Everywhere Michael looked were corpses, not limited to the wolves, with about thirty belonging to his legion as well.

Even with an aching feeling in his soul from the losses, Michael's eyes immediately brightened.

He had work to do.

Without wasting time, Michael had his undead gather the scattered corpses and placed them all within the Mausoleum of Endless Dominion's spatial world.

After finishing the collection, he looked toward his legion.

"...Everyone."

Thousands of green-red eyes turned to gaze at him.

Michael pointed toward the black barrier.

"Let's bring this thing down."

Immediately, close to two thousand gathered around the barrier. Michael gave his command.

"Attack!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The world exploded. Nearly two thousand Rank Four undead unleashed their attacks simultaneously.

Flames. Ice. Lightning. Poison. Countless abilities crossed the destroyed region.

For a moment, the entire sky disappeared beneath energy. Then everything struck the barrier.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

The explosion was deafening. The earth beneath Michael's feet collapsed. Mountains that had survived the previous battle finally shattered.

A colossal mushroom-shaped cloud of dust and energy rose into the sky.

Michael's robes violently fluttered. His long hair was thrown backward.

His emerald eyes stared directly ahead, fixed on the trembling barrier.

Michael's eyes brightened, and he had his undead, all except a few, continue attacking without rest.

This continued for a while until a thin crack finally appeared on the surface.

Seeing this, Michael pointed at the crack and had his legion concentrate their attacks there.

"Concentrate everything on that point!"

The legion reacted instantly.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Nearly two thousand attacks converged on a single point, causing the crack to expand.

Thin fractures spread from the original crack.

Within seconds, a gigantic network of cracks covered the black surface.

The barrier looked like glass struck by an enormous hammer.

Michael didn't let the undead stop their barrage, and for a while, the sky was filled with colors.

Awakeners who had initially been drawn by the noise fled, though a few still remained at a distance; they were curious, but they did not dare to come too close.

Finally, after several rounds of attacks, the black barrier distorted and shattered.

KACHA!

Countless black fragments exploded outward before dissolving into particles of black energy.

Michael's expression immediately became even more solemn.

The first thing he saw was destruction.

"..."

The interior of the barrier was completely ruined.

The land Michael remembered from before the barrier formed had ceased to exist.

Enormous trenches crossed the ground.

Several craters were so deep that Michael couldn't immediately see their bottoms.

Scarlet flames burned across one section of the battlefield, while violent winds continued circling another.

Golden feathers were scattered everywhere.

Michael even saw pieces of shattered crimson armor embedded in the earth.

However...

The tower remained unchanged.

Michael's gaze briefly moved toward it.

The ancient structure stood silently at the center of everything.

Not a single additional crack had appeared on its surface.

"...Ridiculous."

Ten Level 100 beings had fought around it, yet the tower looked exactly the same.

Michael's curiosity toward whatever existed inside it increased considerably.

However, he didn't allow himself to become distracted.

His emerald eyes immediately moved toward the four Epic Grade wolves.

They were still alive, but compared to the energetic state Michael had once seen them in, the four were in terrible shape.

The three-headed wolf was missing one of its heads. Several sections of its scaled body were burned black.

Of the remaining two heads, one eye had been destroyed while the other head's jaw hung unnaturally to the side, slowly healing on its own.

The armored wolf wasn't much better.

Nearly half of the bone armor covering its enormous body had been shattered.

Several broken bone plates protruded from its flesh.
