Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 1347: Arrival

Chapter 1347: Arrival

Jester wasn’t around to assist him this time, but Michael still possessed the experience he had gained during that process.

With his present abilities, preparing a suitable body and adjusting it to accommodate Isabella’s soul should be well within his capabilities.

Of course, it would still require some effort.

But that wasn’t a problem.

At least this way, I can say I’ve done my best.

Michael was quite satisfied with the idea.

Once Isabella possessed a proper body, she could accompany her father without being restricted by her current skeletal appearance.

And considering Brian’s feelings toward his daughter, Michael imagined the old man would be rather pleased.

Michael didn’t mention any of these thoughts to Isabella.

Instead, he turned his attention toward the surroundings.

"Alright, let’s deal with the situation here first."

With a thought, a large number of undead suddenly appeared in the sky above him.

The combined aura of two hundred Rank 4 beings was naturally extraordinary.

Even Isabella, who had witnessed Michael’s strength on several occasions, couldn’t help falling silent at the sight.

Michael looked toward Brian, who remained seated cross-legged on the ground with his eyes closed.

After considering his words briefly, he raised his voice.

"Teacher Brian, I’ll be taking Isabella back with me for now."

Although the distance between them was considerable, Michael made sure his voice reached the old man clearly.

"I’ll leave some of my undead here to protect you while you advance. I have other matters to attend to, but I’ll return every once in a while to check on your progress."

There was no response, but Michael noticed that Brian’s aura fluctuated slightly.

It was only for an instant before returning to its previous state. The old man neither opened his eyes nor said anything.

"..."

Michael waited briefly.

Well, I’ll take that as agreement.

After all, Brian was currently at a critical stage of his advancement. Disturbing his concentration merely to obtain a verbal response would be rather unreasonable.

Besides, considering their relationship, Michael doubted Brian would object to him taking Isabella away temporarily.

With that settled, Michael turned toward the skeleton beside him.

"You heard me. I’ll take you back for now."

"Yes, Sir."

Isabella bowed slightly. Although she was still somewhat confused by his earlier words, she didn’t question his decision.

Michael nodded and opened a passage to his Mausoleum.

Under his direction, Isabella entered without resistance.

Once she was safely inside, Michael closed the passage and turned his attention toward the illusion covering the surrounding area.

Although the barrier was still functioning properly, maintaining it for an extended period required a considerable amount of energy.

Michael supplied another portion of his mana to reinforce it.

As the illusion stabilized even further, he couldn’t help recalling what had happened to his other body in the Land of Origin.

Compared to his current body in Aurora, his other body had been in a rather miserable state not long ago.

Michael shook his head.

Returning his attention to the present, Michael looked at the two hundred Rank 4 undead hovering nearby.

"Spread out."

Under his command, the undead immediately began moving.

Michael divided them into several groups and assigned them to different locations around Brian, with none placed directly beside him.

After all, this was a heavenly tribulation.

Michael wanted to protect the old man, not implicate himself.

After confirming that their positions were suitable, Michael issued a final command.

"Unless someone attempts to interfere with his advancement, don’t take any unnecessary action."

The undead silently acknowledged his orders.

Satisfied, Michael turned toward the edge of the illusion.

He concealed his aura and presence before quietly slipping outside the barrier. Although several powerful individuals were observing the phenomenon from a distance, none noticed his departure.

Michael didn’t bother with them.

Instead, he flew a considerable distance away in search of a suitable location to establish a portal that would allow him to return here.

He didn’t want to place one inside the barrier.

If he happened to return while Brian was undergoing his heavenly tribulation, the last thing he wanted was to teleport directly into the center of it.

That would be ridiculous.

After facing near death in another world, Michael was rather cautious of the outside world.

There was no place like home. The outside world was filled with nothing but malice.

As Michael went along with his business, a certain undead had finally succeeded in the first part of his plans.

"Sigh. Finally."

A voice sounded on an elevated platform somewhere in Newnan, Georgia.

Naturally, he was none other than Jester.

Beside him stood a young girl whose expression was completely dazed.

Jester, however, paid her little attention.

"That was more troublesome than I expected."

He sighed again.

Finding an alternative means of reaching this location hadn’t been easy. In fact, he had wasted considerably more time than originally planned.

Fortunately, he had finally succeeded.

Jester glanced around, carefully examining his surroundings.

After confirming that they weren’t in any immediate danger, he turned his attention toward the memories he had copied from the young girl’s mind.

A considerable amount of information surfaced within his consciousness.

"Newnan..."

Jester muttered thoughtfully.

"A city in Coweta County, Georgia, in the United States of America."

According to the girl’s memories, Newnan was located southwest of a much larger city.

Jester immediately began calculating. He compared the geographic information obtained from her memories with the approximate location of his target.

It took him barely a second to reach a conclusion.

"About sixty kilometers to the northeast, depending on the route."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"So it should be Atlanta."

The distance itself was hardly worth mentioning. For someone like him, traveling several dozen kilometers wasn’t particularly difficult.

What interested him more was Atlanta itself. After all, it had been his intended destination from the beginning, and it was where he sensed his opportunity lay.

As Jester continued examining the girl’s memories, various impressions of Atlanta surfaced.

What soon caught his attention was the rather colorful reputation associated with certain parts of the city.
