Fairy Tail Collapsing Stars Chapter 329
Fairy Tail Collapsing Stars Chapter 329
“Before you ask me anything, may I ask you a question first? That book you’re holding, isn’t that the one that belonged to Mard Geer, the Demon King?”
Silver looked at the book in Evan’s hand, with the letters “END” emblazoned on the cover, and couldn’t help but ask.
“That’s right.”
Evan confirmed calmly. In his eyes, it wasn’t a secret worth hiding.
“And the Demon King…”
Silver’s lips felt dry as he asked about Mard Geer’s fate.
“The Demon King is dead. I killed him.”
“The Tartaros guild is destroyed. I crushed it.”
“The Nine Demon Gates are almost all dead. I did that too.”
“Do you have any other questions about Tartaros?”
Evan held the END book in one hand, the other behind his back, looking at Silver.
“Uh, no, I don’t have any more questions about Tartaros…”
“Now about me, as you can see, I’m already dead. It’s because of the curse placed on me by Keith, one of the Nine Demon Gates. But now that Keith is dead, why haven’t I disappeared?”
With his questions about Tartaros answered Silver focused on his own situation. He knew Tartaros was completely finished, and now he needed answers about his own existence.
Silver furrowed his brows, filled with doubts about his own existence. As Evan had said, his name was Silver Fullbuster, Gray Fullbuster’s father. He was killed by the demon Deliora in X774, only to be resurrected by Keith’s necromancy due to his potential. Silver had then trained to master Ice Devil Slayer Magic to avenge himself on Deliora, only to learn that Evan had already killed Deliora.
Silver, under the alias “Absolute Zero Silver” as a top member of the Nine Demon Gates, worked to investigate and ultimately destroy Tartaros in the following years. But now, with Tartaros gone because they had angered someone they shouldn’t have, Silver’s biggest question was why he was still alive after Keith’s death. Who was controlling him now?
“As I said earlier, just before you were about to disappear, I intervened.”
Evan answered Silver’s question, bringing his hand from behind his back to the front, revealing a purple orb of light.
“What is this?”
Silver stared at the purple orb in Evan’s hand, confused.
“This is Keith’s curse, the necromancy he used to control the dead.”
Evan explained the nature of the orb.
“What?! You’re saying this is Keith’s curse?”
Silver was stunned. He had never heard of curses being separated from the demon that cast them.
“Now it’s yours.”
With a calm expression, Evan placed the curse into Silver’s body.
Before Keith died, Evan had extracted Keith’s curse from his body. After Keith’s death, Evan had been controlling Silver with it. Now, Evan explained this to Silver and transferred the curse to him, allowing him to control himself.
“This is incredible! This really is Keith’s curse. So, now I can control myself without worrying about being manipulated by someone else. Am I…sort of alive again?”
Silver was sweating, realizing he was now free to control himself, almost as if he had been resurrected.
Silver was overjoyed. After years of being neither human nor demon, he could finally be himself again.
“No, your body is still dead. It’s just the curse keeping you functional.”
“In other words, you’re both dead and alive. Strictly speaking, you’re a living dead, a zombie.”
Seeing Silver’s excitement, Evan doused his enthusiasm with a dose of reality.
“No, this is enough. This is more than enough…” Silver shook his head, then thanked Evan, “Thank you for giving me a chance to be myself again.”
“No need to thank me. Your son, Gray, is a member of Fairy Tail. According to our guild master, Fairy Tail is like a big family, and all members are like family. Since you’re Gray’s father, you’re also part of our family. Helping you is only natural…”
“If you really want to thank me, join Fairy Tail!”
Evan extended an invitation to Silver, knowing Silver’s strength was among the top three in Tartaros. Without the restraint of Keith, only Mard Geer could match Silver. His Ice Devil Slayer Magic was a severe threat to demons.
Silver was a force Mard Geer had placed in Tartaros to suppress other demons, but it backfired, with Silver aiding in Mard Geer’s downfall through Gray.
“Join Fairy Tail? Alright, I guess there’s nowhere else for me to go.”
Silver smiled after a moment of thought.
“Then, let’s return to the guild.”
With a light smile, Evan looked at Silver, Carla, and Wendy and spoke softly.
“Return to the guild? You mean Fairy Tail? Magnolia is quite far from here. If we had a Magic Four-Wheeler, it would be easier, but Cait Shelter is in the deep mountains, far from any city. We don’t have a place to borrow a Magic Four-Wheeler…”
Silver furrowed his brow, feeling a bit helpless.
“Little girl, how do you usually leave Cait Shelter?”
Silver, after some thought, looked at Wendy, who had been silent, and asked.
“Well, usually…”
“Carla flies me out.”
Wendy, feeling Silver’s intense gaze, shivered slightly and answered timidly.
“Stop staring at Wendy like that, you perverted old man!”
“And I can only carry Wendy. Don’t expect me to carry all of you!”
Seeing Wendy about to cry, Carla flew up and shielded her from Silver.
“Ah, so it’s not possible. You’re too small…”
“In that case, can you skate?”
Silver scratched his cheek, knowing Carla could fly but realizing she couldn’t carry multiple people. So, the only option was to travel on the ground, and skating would be faster than walking.
“I’ve never skated before…”
Wendy shook her head. Living in the mountains, she rarely saw ice.
“I see. It’s warm in the southwest, unlike the east or north…”
“Haha, where I come from, everyone, young and old, is good at skating. I’ll teach you someday!”
“Oh, my son should be about your age. Want him to teach you? He’s a skating expert!”
“Do you have a boy you like? What do you think of my son?”
Silver, feeling liberated after his long-standing issues were resolved, chatted endlessly with Wendy.
“I, um, I…”
Wendy trembled, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Alright, old man…”
“First, your son is much older than Wendy. Second, he’s quite popular with the ladies, so you don’t need to worry.”
Evan interjected, saving Wendy from the overwhelming conversation.
“Really? Is my son doing well?”
Silver’s eyes lit up as he moved to Evan, eager for news about Gray.
“Your son Gray, how to put it?”
“Gray, being a disciple of Ur, one of the Ten Wizard Saints, is certainly talented in magic…”
“But Gray is a bit special. He’s not just talented; he’s…complicated.”
“Let’s say he’s well-known in Fairy Tail, Magnolia, and all of Fiore for his…unique habits.”
“Do you read the Sorcerer Magazine?”
Evan, feeling awkward, tried to gauge Silver’s awareness.
“I don’t have time for such things!”
Silver frowned. He had been focused on fighting demons, with no time for reading magazines.
“No wonder…”
Evan sighed. If Silver had read the magazine, he would know about the infamous ‘stripping duo’ of Fairy Tail.
“Let’s return to the guild. You’ll understand everything then.”
Evan sighed, planning to let Silver and Gray talk things out at the guild.
“When do we leave?”
Silver, nodding, agreed it was best to return to Fairy Tail and see Gray. He looked at Evan, eager to depart.
“…”
Evan didn’t respond verbally, just raised five fingers.
“Five?”
Silver looked at Evan’s fingers, feeling a sense of foreboding.
“Four, three, two, one…”
As Silver stared, Evan’s fingers counted down.
“Buzz!!”
A bright light enveloped Evan, Silver, Carla, and Wendy at the count of one, and they vanished.
Meanwhile, in the snowy eastern reaches of Ishgar, the dragon Evan had created flew swiftly.
“Boom!!”
Suddenly, a destructive light descended, reducing the dragon to ashes!
“Roar!!”
Behind dark clouds, a massive shadow roared and writhed in the sky.
In Magnolia, Fiore…
“Buzz!”
With a rumble, Evan, Silver, Wendy, and Carla appeared before the Fairy Tail guild hall.
“Gulp~”
Silver, Wendy, and Carla stared at the old sign reading “FAIRY TAIL” nervously and excitedly.
Silver’s heart pounded with the prospect of seeing his beloved son. Wendy, thinking of the dragons Evan mentioned, felt an uncontrollable excitement. She wondered if she would see Grandeeney and what she would say if she did. Would she question Grandeeney for abandoning her? No, she would likely nestle under Grandeeney’s wings and sleep soundly.
Carla worried about Wendy being bullied in the new guild.
“Thump! Thump! Thump!”
As their hearts raced, the guild doors suddenly opened, and a boy ran out.
“Ha ha ha…”
“Come on, Gray, catch me if you can!”
The boy had
cherry blossom pink hair, a scarf made of what seemed to be dragon scales, white shorts, and a blue shirt. But what caught everyone’s attention was the white triangle underwear in his hand.
“Underwear?”
“Triangle?”
“Whose?”
Wendy, Carla, and Silver were stunned.
“Smack~”
“Damn it, Natsu, give me back my underwear!”
Before they could react, another boy, with short black hair and a striking resemblance to Silver, ran out, shouting angrily at the pink-haired boy.
The most shocking part wasn’t what he said, but that he was completely naked, charging out of the guild without a care.
“Gray?!”
“Little Dragon?”
“I’m not pure anymore…”
Seeing the naked boy, Silver, Carla, and Wendy exclaimed.
“Huh? You are…”
The naked boy turned to see who called his name and saw a middle-aged man in silver armor with “ZERO” on the chest. The face was unmistakable, the face of his father, Silver Fullbuster, who had been killed by Deliora years ago.
“Gray!”
Silver’s eyes moistened as he softly called his son’s name.
“Silver? Is it really you, father?”
Gray trembled, his voice shaking with disbelief.
“Gray…”
“Father…”
“Gray…”
As Gray approached, Silver’s eyes suddenly turned cold and murderous.
“Who the hell are you?!”
Silver punched Gray, sending him flying.
“Don’t use my son’s body for such perverted acts! At least wear some underwear! Damn it!”
“My son, Gray, could never be a pervert…”
“It must be a demon possessing my son!”
“Yes, that’s it! Damn demon, give me back my son!”
“Accept my Ice Devil Slayer Magic, and die! Absolute Zero: Silver!”
Silver, confused and in denial, resolved to exorcise the demon from his son.
“What are you doing to my adorable student?!”
As Silver prepared to unleash his magic, a cold voice interrupted. A beautiful woman with snow-white skin, short black hair, and a queenly demeanor stepped between Silver and Gray.
“You, you must be Ur, the Ice Queen, one of the Ten Wizard Saints!”
Silver’s eyes widened, not just at her beauty but at her attire—or lack thereof. She was dressed only in translucent lace lingerie.
Silver finally understood why his son was so perverted.
“Trouble… My son, Gray, has the potential to be a pervert.”
Silver muttered, accepting the reality with trembling lips.
