Chapter 516: Michael's Dirty Secret and Guild Negotiations

Flame Rose Guild Clubhouse, Central City.

Inside one of the private rooms on the fifth floor of a large hotel in the city. The members of the Flame Rose Guild had gathered.

"Alright, you can contact us when you arrive at the Port City"

Allison ended the call and looked at the people around her who had been feeling curious all this time.

"So…is the Revenant Guild joining us this time?" her cousin, Maverick, brought up the question that had been in the mind of the others.

Alongside Maverick, there is also Michael's admirer, Dana, Dylan and the other guild executives who are waiting in anticipation.

Looking at the anticipation in her eyes, Allison smiled and replied, "Yeah, it seems we'll have the Revenant Guild backing us this time"

"Yess!"

"Let's go!!"

"That's great news, Guild Leader! Our chances of clearing that mission had just increased tremendously with them joining us"

Everyone was in celebration, even with their small numbers and almost having the same similar class, every player here knew how capable those people from the Revenant Guild are.

Well, they are mostly infamous during their stint of taking jobs for eliminating famous players in the game, even the leaders of the major guilds weren't spared from them and that they at least died once from them.

Since then, they have become quite famous in their own right for their incredible skills that other players had even started spreading rumors that they were actually assassins or elite government agents in the real world, and these rumors became even more solid when players finally realized that all of the members of the Revenant Guild have the same class, same skill set and the same weapon of choice, and most especially, they are also doing dirty works like assassinating players!

Anyone with half a brain would immediately realize that that's not normal at all!

In addition, they weren't the first people who applied their real life skills in the game.

A good example is Storm Breaker, that War Temple Elder they met earlier in the game. He's a real life Knight, like literally!

He came from a lineage of Knights that still practices their Knightly Traditions and also serves the Royal Family of the Angles Kingdom!

He's only one of the many players who became famous in the game by relying on their real life abilities!

"Calm down everyone. I know that we should celebrate this occasion, but let me continue alright?"

Her people immediately stopped their merrying and calmed themselves down to listen to her.

"Alright, the two guilds did come into an agreement but not all of them will join us.

Three or four members will probably join us this time, but for this agreement to truly come into effect, I also need to have a talk with Michael about this since he's their Guild Leader and the only contact to these group of mysterious people" Allison said, and the mood in the room slightly went down when they heard her words since all of them were expecting that the entire Revenant Guild is moving out this time.

"What? Why are you all looking at me?"

When everyone heard what Allison said, all of them except Dylan turned their eyes towards him and the latter couldn't help but get creeped out by all the eyes directed at him.

"Don't what us, Michael is your best friend. If you're shy, how about I accompany you to talk with him?" Dana proposed, her eyes shone with a cunning glint.

Dylan looked at her with an expression "I don't believe your bullsh*t", then he looked at his girl and said, "Wouldn't it be better for you to personally talk about this with him? After all, your purpose is to talk business with him and not to talk about things between friends. Besides, that as*hole wouldn't take me seriously if I'm the one leading this talk"

Dylan gave a reasonable reason, but what he didn't reveal to them is that he doesn't actually want to talk about business with him since it might cause a strain in their relationship if the deal doesn't go well. Both men had already witnessed a lot of their friends breaking up because of slight disagreements, especially when it came to matters regarding their own share of profits.

That's why both men in their early years promised that they would never talk about anything related to anything money related and even if they did, they would need to put it in a black and white agreement.

And right now, that promise doesn't apply to their current situation since this involves the interest of a lot of people.

"Alright, how about this then? I'll talk to him, but you'll have to accompany me. Is that okay with you?"

Maverick seems to have realized something and quickly nominated himself for this task.

"Okay, Mav will lead the talk with Michael and will be accompanied by Dylan. That's all for now, everyone is dismissed"

Allison smiled at her man with understanding and quickly delegated the task to her cousin. Some nodded in agreement while some showed obvious displeasure since they thought that they might get a better deal during the negotiations if Dylan took the lead.

Obviously, these people want Dylan to take advantage of his friendship with Michael to cede more of the gains to them.

This clearly shows that these people do not cherish their friendship with their friends and probably wouldn't hesitate to betray them for their own greed if the opportunity comes knocking.

Everyone slowly dispersed, leaving Allison, Maverick and Dylan by themselves.

"Thanks man," Dylan smiled at Maverick.

Maverick just smiled and replied, "Don't mention it, I just remembered that you mentioned before that you and Michael never talked about business because of the things you two had witnessed"

Now, it was Dylan's time to be confused, "I did? When? How come I don't remember talking about it?"

"It was when you came to visit my family for the third time. You became drunk that night and started spouting things that happened between you and Michael" Allison quickly added, she knew that Dylan would certainly panic when mentioning it.

Dylan didn't disappoint her as he quickly became flustered and asked, "Wait, other than that. I didn't say anything stupid right?"

"Hmmm…nothing really damaging. Does Michael having a huge crush on your mom and confessing his feelings to her count?" Maverick said with a devious grin.

Allison laughed and Dylan looked at him with widened eyes, he was shook!

"Bro! You will never, ever mention anything about that to him. He's going to kill both of us if you ever bring it up! Sh*t! It's one of his most embarrassing moments in his life!" Dylan quickly warned and made a mental note to never let himself get wasted again, ever!

"Come on! I'm sure he won't do that, right?" Maverick quickly looked around them and quickly let out a sigh of relief when he saw that no one had overheard them. It was because he just remembered about the rumors that Michael had multiple deadly encounters with members of the Black Skull Gang and even became a suspect in the murders of their members at that time.

The fact that he's still alive and well is a testament that he's no ordinary young man in his twenties.

"I don't know, but you better expect to lose a tooth or two" Dylan shrugged, still worried.
