Chapter 1495: Second Floor Rewards (2)
Chapter 1495: Second Floor Rewards (2)
The first was actually a Luck reward. Sylas didn't expect to run into such a thing, but maybe he should have expected it.
Until now, he had only been able to gain Luck from Taboo Bond and from Titles. But logically, there had to be other ways.
There were people walking around with Luck much higher than his despite certainly not having Luck Titles as high as his own.
Part of that might just be the circumstances they were born into, but there had to be more to it- especially since Sylas had already upgraded his Race and Class, but he had never received a Luck boost from any one of them.
Of course there had to be a way for the system to reward such things.
[System Chosen (Title)]
From Rebel to Chosen, and from watched to priority. The system is unable to understand you and has now taken keen interest in your path forward. May your strength continue to impress.
[+1000 Luck][+100% Luck]
Thanks to his new System Chosen Title, Sylas was able to gain quite a bit from that reward.
He gained an additional 1000 Luck, so his System Chosen Title made that 2000. The end result? [Luck: 4011]
The next reward Sylas got that really caught his attention was something he hadn't been expecting to find here.
Until now, most of the rewards were just things that helped his power in the immediate. He hadn't really gained any long-term aids-unless you counted the tome on Rune Mastery Paths he had found.
Even so, those tomes were received differently by someone like Sylas, who could probably learn them with a glance.
But this one was fascinating because...
[Affiliation Erasure (???) (Template)]Eliminate an Affiliation of any organization with a City Stele beneath the Grade 1 Common Kingdom level[Uses: 3/3] Such a thing... was shockingly invaluable.
[Affiliation: Legacy 7777; Progenitor of Earth; Golden Grove Elder; Beast Warlord Sanctum 073]
Right now, Sylas had more Affiliations than he knew what to do with, including one from Legacy that he certainly didn't want.
The Golden Grove Elder role could be easily destroyed whenever he wanted, since they were a trump card in his own pocket. But for the others? It was much more complicated.
Especially for Legacy. That one was one that would probably haunt him for a long while.
The levels of City Steles went from Village to Town, and then City, Kingdom, Empire, and finally World. Of them all, Worlds were divided into the most tiers. But at least for Village, Town, City, Kingdom, and Empire, they were separated into just Rudimentary, Common, and Elite, and then further into 10 Grades.
It was just as Sylas had always known. Every organization, power, or family in the universe was built around a City Stele. They were often well hidden and protected, which was why he had yet to see a City Stele in active use since he left Earth. But that didn't mean they didn't exist.
From Sylas' understanding, most of the City Steles were at the City level. The best of the very best- including the Beast Sanctum-were only at the Rudimentary Kingdom Grade.
Every level-up was exponentially more difficult after one reached City, and by the time you reached Kingdom, unless you were always conquering large swaths of territory, you could forget about ever reaching Common Kingdom, let alone Empire or World beyond that.
You needed to be in control of several Sectors before you could even reach the level of a Common Kingdom. In fact, you probably needed to be in control of an entire Horizon just to be a Grade 1 Elite Kingdom, let alone a Grade 10 one.
It was safe to say, then... that there wasn't a single one of Sylas' Affiliations that he couldn't get rid of right now.
Although he was tied to some organizations with truly large main branches, he was only tied firmly to their side branches. As such, even Legacy could be gotten rid of if he so chose.
It really was invaluable.
And then came the last treasure.
[Quest Pass (Legendary) (Ticket)] Instantly pass any progression-type F-Grade Quest up to the Legendary Grade[Use: 1/1] Of all the things Sylas had received, this was probably the most valuable.
Just to get his two Professions to E-Grade this time, he had to basically fight an entire war in the Milky Way Galaxy all on his own-one that ended with not only him becoming its Progenitor, but the death of an entire Demi-God Clan.
He couldn't fathom how difficult it would be to progress them to Level 101. They were already at Level 100 right this moment, and he wasn't even remotely prepared to trigger their Quests right now.
If he was going to claim the Reaper Sealwright Quest, there were very good odds that whatever its Quest was would be even more difficult to pass.
He had so much to deal with already. If he had to pass such a Quest as well, he might very well drown. But now... it seemed he didn't need to worry about it.
[Explosive Emperor Flame Territory Cleared]
[Rewards]
[Reaper Sealwright (2/3)]
[Congratulations on being the first to find the entrance to the third floor]
[System-Wide Message] [Primus Imperium Sylas Grimblade has left you far behind]
'Just one more left,' Sylas thought to himself, his eyes sharp.
After some thought, he put Nosphaleen away in the Hibernation Realm. When he entered the second floor before, everything had changed and he had been attacked immediately. He wouldn't risk Nosphaleen if he didn't absolutely have to, and he was more confident in his own reaction time despite her improvement.
With a step, Sylas vanished.

Still on the first floor, one elite group after another looked at the notifications on their screens, not knowing what to say.
Authrione's body churned with dense masses of black, seemingly becoming the center of a black hole of his own creation.
He simply didn't believe that there was someone this much stronger than himself.
