Sylas clenched and unclenched his fists, his breathing calm and even.

Not a single one of these stats was empty. At the very least, none of his Physical stats were.
They were only so excellent because he had two Legendary Gene Classes, a perfect harmony of Legendary Genes, not to mention Primus Luminaria injecting his Mental with its own version of steroids.
However, every one of these stats was earned.
There was a saying on Earth... a little at a time and then all at once.
Usually, that was a reference for catastrophes, but it applied just as well to efforts.
Little by little, day by day, one might feel as though they weren't making any progress at all until a chance for an explosive rise was placed right before you.
For Sylas, that moment was this Tower of Champions... and he was very far from finished.
His stats were still nothing compared to the World Serpent because he was just a member of a D-Grade Race. The only things making up for this gap were his Legendary Gene Classes and Primus Luminaria—especially the latter.
This was also just the F-tier. This was the tier where the gaps in stats were the least obvious.
That gap would only become more substantial later on down the road.
If Sylas ignored Primus Luminaria, other than his Will—and his Charisma which was tied to it—his stats were only around 100,000, while the stats of the King Serpent had been four to five times that, even more for stats it was particularly good with.
This gap was unacceptable to Sylas, especially if it only became worse later.
He needed to improve his Race...
It was a good thing, then, that that was the entire reason he had come here in the first place.
The obelisk was still waiting for him.
The wall before Sylas warped and he took a step forward.
There he saw it, an enormous obelisk right in the middle of a room forged of cast iron. However, this room was significantly larger than the others, probably a full 100 kilometers from point to point.
There was no landscape, no Runes to take advantage of—in fact... Sylas found himself bound in place by a peculiar Will. He was restrained here, unable to move.
Sylas understood immediately.
it actually wanted him to wait.
Unacceptable.
Sylas' jaw clenched. He was moving so fast because he knew he didn't have much time. If it was going to make him wait even though he was so far ahead of everyone already, then what was the point of him putting himself through so much to get here so fast?
He could have taken his time to completely clear out the first, second, and third floors before making it here, but he had foregone many treasures and rewards for the sake of speed.
Sylas was rarely someone who got agitated, but he needed to get back to the Milky Way Galaxy.
Cutting it close would be foolish. He needed time to prepare for what enemy was coming. If he could get back a month or even two in advance, it would bolster his chances greatly.
How was it his fault that the other Primus Imperium was so incompetent?
Sylas had known that there would be a possibility of this happening ever since he knew only one Primus Imperium could leave this place. But he had to test it for himself first. The system, from what he could see, was especially harsh with Primus Imperium. So, there was a chance that if Sylas completely outclassed the other, he would be rewarded for it, while the other would be punished.
But it seemed that he wouldn't be so lucky.
Sylas thought about using the Scorned Wraps to break free, but then what? Would he rush back and hope to find the Primus Imperium?
These were floors designed to take years to clear. Without the map, he wouldn't have been able to make it here so quickly. Authrione was certainly correct about at least this much.
How was he going to find just one person?
Sylas took a breath and closed his eyes, setting his heart. He knew that it was completely useless for him to waste so much time trying to control something he couldn't.
First, he would rest and recover until he was back at 100%. Then, he would break free of here and go and search for this person. So long as this person wasn't on the third floor where the map could only point him in a direction and not see past more than one room, it should be fine.
What Sylas didn't expect was that he would have only just recovered when there was movement.
When his eyes landed on the person that came, he almost instantly deduced three things.
And every one of those realizations left his pupils constricting more and more.
