Chapter 1520 Sleep
Chapter 1520 Sleep
Sylas dismissed the trident, the rusted blade that had fused with it zipping back into his body.
There was something particularly special about this blade. As far as Sylas could tell, it should probably be a Soul Construct, a single layer deeper than a Comprehension, but not quite on the level of a Will Manifestation.
Even so, it was incredibly powerful.
Sylas had already been able to off-load the physical stress of Blade Aura as a Gene Talent back when he made it a Will Ability. But there was also a pretty good reason he had just stopped and neglected this Gene Talent.
Setting aside the fact he had sacrificed it for the sake of Aetherborne Will, even before this he hadn't found it very useful because it had too many flaws.
Most of that was probably Sylas' fault since his Blade Aura Gene Talent had been the result of his own creation. It had to be remembered that his original Blade Aura Gene Talent was a crippled mess due to the fact his Grimblade bloodline was impure. So, he had to construct a new one relying on his Rune Mastery and observing the Grimblade Heiress’ own Gene Talent during their trial for head of the family.
This aside, the Gene Talent fell too far behind and it couldn't keep up with his Wil. Plus, the opponents Sylas came across often had Will so much weaker than his own that it wasn't even worth it.
But this Soul Construct... it changed everything.
He could probably instantly kill any F-tier or even E-tier in the Milky Way Sector with this blade, directly shredding their Will to pieces before they even understood what was happening.
In fact, Sylas was probably being conservative with that estimation. That was probably not just true of the Milky Way Sector, but of the Milky Way Horizon as a whole.
To say that he was a Primus Imperium now almost felt too empty for just how powerful he really was within the F-tier compared to where he had been born.
In fact, it could be said that Sylas was far stronger than 90% of the F-tiers across the entire universe.
Of course... there still remained that 10%, those born into God Clans that overlooked the world.
it also couldn't be underestimated—the leap that existed between an A-Grade Race and a Demi-God Race either.
Both were of the A-Grade, and yet the gap might as well have been another world.
Sylas had truly wanted to take that spot... but now wasn't the time.
Not yet.
"Rest."
Sylas unilaterally decided that this was what he needed. He had only just come back from a nap, but he felt that it wasn't enough.
He needed food, rest, and time to decompress.
For Sylas of all people to make such a decision, it could be imagined just how much he had gone through.
For now, the best way for him to improve...
Was to sleep.
And sleep he did. Even with the speed of their vessel and the sheer number of shortcuts they had, it would still take weeks to return to their Sector, and more time beyond that to return to the Milky Way.
Not once did Sylas awaken during all of this, his Gluttony slowly stirring as his hunger increased in his sleep.
When it reached the extremities of this feeling, it suddenly bloomed.
From a dormant state, it instantly reached Seed Essence, churning within Sylas’ body. He knew this would happen.
The little girl watched over Sylas, her heart only sinking further the more time she spent with this young man.
She knew something was wrong when Sylas thought to take a rest. This must have been his intention from the start.
He's already learning how to take advantage of Champion Will... he immediately used it to resonate with his Gluttony Seed.
And now...
The little girl watched speechlessly as Aether moved independent of Sylas, casually and spontaneously forming Genes that Sylas’ Gluttony Seed swallowed.
Common, Bronze, Silver, Gold... there didn't seem to be a difference at all. Every one formed just as easily.
Sylas wasn't even conscious, and yet he was forging Genes he had once had to risk his ife to gain in the not-so-long-ago past.
He's going to reach Manifestation just like that...
Her eyes dimmed, and then she looked out into the distance.
Sylas never seemed to suffer a loss. The moment he learned what Seed Essence and Seed Manifestation was thanks to his True Pride Seed, he was able to reverse engineer a method of doing so with his Gluttony Seed.
It cost him nothing. She didn't even get close to threatening him.
Maybe that's why his Scorned Wraps are so different from any I've seen before. He's a complete anomaly. The Madness is favoring him... She shook her head, looking toward the starry skies.
The Madness favoring someone... that was never a good thing for them.
But at this point, she didn't even know if she should trust her own judgment anymore. She had warned Sylas about his Pride Seed, but he seemed completely unaffected by it. She had warned him about his Scorned Wraps, but it took a completely new evolution path. She had warned him about cutting corners to upgrade his Madness Disciple Tier... Well, she was seeing how that was ending right here. He erased all the latent danger with a single sleep.
The more powerful the Madness Disciple, the more tragic the ending... that was supposed to be the reality, the Sloth Disciple being the perfect example.
So why was it like this with him?
As Sylas' group zoomed back toward the Milky Way Sector, the 073 Sanctum was in a state of limbo. After Sylas left, the realization of the change to his points had finally spread far and wide. When the Warlords learned that he had already traded for their Legacies before they could even step in and do anything about it... one could imagine their reactions.
However, even those memories had been long forgotten as they saw the continuous changes to Sylas' points... Just how...
