Chapter 1705 Unfathomable Wealth

Chapter 1705 Unfathomable Wealth

Salivar stretched and yawned. After leaning side to side for a moment, he stepped out from his private room and walked right out of the brothel. Seamlessly, two shadows fell in line behind him.

"Time is running out, young master," one of them said softly. It sounded like the voice of a woman, but knowing Salivar, maybe that wasn't too much of a surprise.

Salivar yawned again. "I just reached the E-tier and those old bastards are already hounding me again. When will I get to rest?"

"When you're an S-tier," another woman's voice spoke, but this one was much less youthful and lively. In fact, she seemed to be even older than Fanelei's original voice had made her seem.

Yet, when this woman spoke, Salivar's smile became especially lewd.

"Grenalde, it's been so long since you've spoken to me, and you're doing it for those old fogies? You can't be fucking one of them behind my back, could you?"

"This old woman's body is for young master's sole use," Grenalde responded with the very same monotone tone.

"Old? No, no. I prefer the term well-seasoned."

Grenalde didn't respond, but Salivar only chuckled.

In truth, Grenalde had been making herself older in hopes that Salivar's lust would give her some rest for once. Unfortunately, when you were faced with a Cryst Emperor whose entire being was built on vitality, stamina was the one thing he wasn't lacking in.

Even a pair of B-tiers like Grenalde and Vernai grew tired of it. Of course, that wasn't because their bodies couldn't keep up, but instead because they had their own things to do as well.

The reason there were two of them was so that they could take turns protecting him and still have time for their own practice. But how was that going to be possible when Salivar always insisted on taking them both at the same time?

Somehow, he seemed hornier after leaving a brothel instead of the logical reverse.

Unfortunately for Grenalde, her attempts seemed to have only awakened another fetish within their young master. Plus, there was only so old she could stand to make herself because she disgusted even herself, so she had just given up after a certain point.

Even more unfortunately, Salivar grew stronger every time he bedded a powerful woman. At this point, he had the perfect excuse, and there was little they could do about it all.

Well, Grenalde was a bit disgruntled about it all because she was already on the older side. Vernai didn't seem to care nearly as much, to her dissatisfaction.

"This is very important, young master," Grenalde emphasized, bringing them back to the topic at hand.

Salivar sighed. "Yes, yes, yes. Fine. When is it?"

"The Seeing Eye Guild will be scheduling a reassessment in three days."

"You just made that up!" Salivar accused.

Vernai giggled, earning her a glare from Grenalde that shut her right up. The two were still in the shadows, but they could see one another just well enough.

"These dates have already been set, young master."

"Fine. Fine. Fine. I'll go."

Grenalde exhaled a breath of relief.

Unlike the Weaver Guild, the Seeing Eye Guild had a reassessment for every tier. But the reason this was so important for their members was because this was an easy cheat to progressing their Seeing Eye Profession to the next tier without undergoing a troubling Quest.

For someone like Salivar, whose Seeing Eye Profession's Grade was exceptionally high, this was all the more important.

One only needed to look at all the trouble Sylas went through to progress Vipermancy and Runeweaver the first time to see how dangerous these could get. If not for the fact he had received such a shocking bump-first from the pair of eyes Gralith gave him, and then from the evolution the Weaver Guild gave him-Sylas would have never been able to raise Runeweaver to D-grade so easily.

The worst part of all of this, of course, was that no one could help you on a Quest.

Salivar had already almost died during his Class Quest. They would rather avoid a repeat of that situation.

The trouble was that the further they got from the ideal time, the less likely this cheat baptism would work, so Salivar was really gliding on thin ice right now.

This was mostly a formality for Salivar anyway. Though the reassessment was difficult...

That was only for the common disciples of the guild. Salivar's would be more difficult than usual because of his Silver Grade Profession, but nothing he wouldn't be able to deal with.

He would just get this over with so he could go back to lounging around beauties.

Sylas stood before a building carved out of Aetherstone, so wide and expansive it felt too large to be a natural rock formation, and yet it looked exactly like a budding bouquet of crystals and gemstones.

The entire city looked like that—a sea of endless wealth and Aether concentration so thick Sylas was having a hard time finding actual oxygen to breathe.

If a normal mortal of Earth were standing here, they might quite literally die from suffocation before they could do a single thing. The Aether wouldn't shatter their bodies-though that was a small possibility. Instead, they would quite literally die from lack of real air to breathe.

Sylas was considered quite the rich tycoon back in the Milky Way Sector, and even the Milky Way Horizon as a whole. But this... this was simply on a level he couldn't fathom.

And yet it still felt so small compared to that ceiling.

Sylas proceeded right up to the doors of the Seeing Eye Guild. Unsurprisingly, he was stopped long before he made it to the doors.

"I would like to join," Sylas said.

The guard's eyes narrowed. Such an antique F-tier with a presence that felt so... empty and vacant. Was this a joke?

Even so, the Seeing Eye Guild allowed anyone to try, so long as they had the fee-and something told this guard that Sylas couldn't possibly afford it.

Unfortunately, the guard didn't get the chance to answer.
