Genetic Ascension

Chapter 1850: Condense

Chapter 1850: Condense

Sylas closed his eyes and took deep breaths. It was as though he could already visualize the world burning.

The Thryskai already knew of the existence of the Seeing Heaven. So why hadn't they made a move yet?

Obviously, it was because they were restrained by something. Either that, or they didn't want the entire Heaven to be embroiled in war. Well... It was unfortunate for them that they seemed insistent on trying to make things difficult for him.

Someone marred by the chaos of a Summoning shouldn't have been able to progress as far as Sylas had. The difficulty was too great.

Succeeding in clearing a Summoning should have been a lifetime accomplishment. Then the rest of the work should have been passed down to your descendants. Step by step, a legacy of your Race or Clan would be built through generations.

To do so in a single time frame was impossible.

These people weren't used to growing through chaos. But Sylas... Sylas was.

They had forgotten what it meant to scratch and claw for survival. They had forgotten what it felt like for their next day to not be guaranteed, for their legacies to hang in the balance, for their futures to be as wildly fluctuating as the twinkling, vanishing stars in the skies.

But Sylas would have to remind them what it felt like.

In this chaos, he would thrive.

In this chaos, he would become a god.

An aura exploded from Sylas as a familiar energy reformed into the shattered Luck Gene.

Sylas opened his eyes and the pieces faded. 'Not quite.'

He had felt it when he became a true Progenitor. There was an inkling of something there that could help him take the next step. But it seemed that Bronze wasn't enough.

"Cassarae," Sylas said calmly.

He only replied the word, but in the next moment, a beam of light was already flying toward him. When it stopped, a familiar Legendary Set armor took shape.

[Guardian Angel (Legendary Set)]

[Reduce ALL Damage by 50%]

Sylas took a deep breath and his eyes shimmered.

One after another, the inner armor, the boots, the wings fit onto his body. Energy radiated out from him and then suddenly reversed.

Legendary Path Treasures were of shocking value. Regardless of their Grade, from Common all the way up to Legendary, they were mystical items because of their ability to evolve.

However, even for Legendary Path Treasures, those capable of ascending Tiers were extremely rare even amongst the already rare air they were in.

It could be stated that the vast majority would never. Saying it was 99% was too small a number.

It was difficult enough to create a set perfect enough to allow evolution within a tier. To allow one powerful enough that it could cross the barrier to a new tier... That required a level of Rune Mastery that was on a completely different level.

BANG.

The Guardian Angel Set shattered.

Under the eyes of a growing number of Horizons, Sylas' eyes burned with the brightness of a star. He raised his hands and his fingers relaxed.

As though he was playing the strums of the universe itself, he began to reform the armor.

Sylas had spent not a single moment learning how to craft. But his understanding of F-Grade Rune Mastery had reached an exaggerated level even the best geniuses of the Demi-God Realm could hardly touch... And then he took a step beyond even that.

All he needed was a glance to see through every Rune of the Guardian Angel Set.

All he needed was a thought to see through all of its flaws.

All he needed was the intent to fix them all.

SHUU.

The world shuddered and the Legendary Path Set began to reform.

The boots took shape first, glowing.

And then came the armor. Once silver and embroidered in ruby, it radiated now just the slightest shade of rosey silver, the hues of ruby dimming into a similar color that almost caressed the original hues.

And then came the wings.

They stretched out a dozen meters to both sides, so perfect and real they didn't look artificial in the slightest. A perfect pair of Angel Wings... a perfect reflection of not only the once flawed Wings he had rebuilt them from... But also what he had learned from the Rune Mastery of the Valentrix.

The aura of an Angel took shape.

[Title Unlocked]

[Hands of a Craftsman (Legendary) (Contested Title)]

[The deft hands of creation do not touch just any man. Swaddled in silk and graced by the Gods, your hands pull on the orchestra of death to form life from the depths of nothingness] [+100% Success in forming a Treasure Embryo]

A second heartbeat echoed in Sylas' ears. He heard not just the warmth of Earth, but the call of the Guardian Angel

Set.

"Take shape," Sylas said coldly.

A ring of gold echoed.

Earth churned and its oceans rose. The currents of Earth's hidden formation began to rise, forming large rings that wrapped around Earth.

The water levels of Earth dipped and then dipped again, large swaths of land once lost to the mysteries of the dark being awakened as continents seemed to double in size.

Rings of crisscrossing rivers formed barriers and complex formations around Earth. It was a sight too gorgeous for waters, a faint mist falling in twinkling motes from above.

Never again would anyone say that Earth was unprotected.

And the world would come to know.

One day, the only Angel that remained would be the one that wore this armor. Sylas would make sure of that.

"Condense."
