Chapter 317: A Terrifying Truth or A Terrifying Question?
Chapter 317: Ch 317 : A Terrifying Truth or A Terrifying Question?
Sunny floated above the stream of eternity.
Below him, the River of Time roared, a torrent of fragmented images and ghostly echoes.
"Here," Sunny whispered.
He dove.
His consciousness pierced the surface of the river, plunging him into the silent space of the Primordial Era.
The birth of the God of Cultivation.
Sunny found himself floating in an empty cosmic void. There were no stars here, only distant, faint smudges of light from other multiverses drifting in the deep dark. It was a canvas waiting for paint.
He waited.
Time here felt like it was stuck. But Sunny, with his Time Affinity, stood still in the current, fast forwarding the time, as he wanted to directly see the creation.
RIIIP.
Suddenly, reality tore open.
The fabric of space contorted and ripped, revealing the True Void behind the curtain of the shallow void.
Sunny couldn’t see anything inside the tear, the True Void was a concept beyond his sight, but he felt it. A strange pull tugged at his soul, whispering promises of infinite power and total annihilation.
"Don’t look," Sunny muttered to himself, shaking his head as his Divine Intuition screamed warnings.
From the tear, a hand emerged.
It was colossal. It was made of cosmos and multiverses, swirling with the same particles that now comprised Sunny’s own right hand. It was beautiful, terrifying, and undeniably feminine in its grace.
The Hand of the Void Mother, Sansa.
It floated in the emptiness, palm open, facing Sunny.
Then, it began.
Infinite energy poured from the palm, trapped within an invisible sphere. The hand closed into a fist.
BOOM.
A muffled explosion occurred within her grip. Matter compressed, laws fused, and chaos was ordered.
When the hand opened a second later, a golden nervous system floated in the vacuum. It was a perfect replica of a human neural network, but instead of nerves, it was made of Qi.
"This technique again....," Sunny observed, his God’s Eye recording every fluctuation.
Next came the flesh. The Hand of Creation released a different kind of energy, Creation Essence. It wove around the golden nerves, forming bones, muscles, organs, and finally, skin.
A man took shape. He was tall, with sharp features and long black hair.
Sunny blinked.
"He looks exactly like Cai Zhen," Sunny murmured. "Down to the mole on his neck. I thought reincarnations would be different... maybe a new face, a new race. But they are exactly the same of their previous self"
He thought of Merlin, who was also identical to his past self. It seemed the Void Mother was responsible for their reincarnation.
"Now... the spark," Sunny whispered.
He watched as one of the glowing dots in the Cosmic Hand, a condensed Law detached itself. It drifted into the chest of the lifeless body.
The Law of Cultivation.
The body gasped. The chest heaved. Golden light flooded Cai Zhen’s veins.
The First Cultivator was born.
Sunny leaned forward, expecting the next step. ’Will she create the Multiverse now? Will she build the universes’
He waited. And waited.
Nothing happened.
Instead, the Cosmic Hand moved.
It turned away from Cai Zhen and drifted toward Sunny.
"Uh..." Sunny stiffened.
The massive, starry hand reached out.
It reached out and... pinched his cheek.
It phased right through his mask and pinched his face, like an annoyed grandmother scolding a mischievous child, just like it did the previous time, or we could say faraway in future.
Pinch.
Sunny yelped. The sensation was real.
The hand pulled back, wagging a finger at him. It radiated a feeling of mild exasperation. ’You again? Stop messing with the timeline, boy.’
"It couldn’t be helped! Even though this is our first meeting." Sunny blurted out, raising his hands in surrender. "I am here with a question! I know you can hear me. I know you know everything. Hiding it will just waste both our times!"
(Note : He said first meeting because, the previous time it was a billion year in past, and now it is even before that, meaning for Lady Sansa it should be the first meeting)
He gambled on her omniscience.
The hand paused. It hovered there, considering him. Then, it made a motion that looked distinctly like a sigh.
SHIMMER.
The hand dissolved into a mist of starlight. The mist swirled and condensed, taking on a new form.
A woman appeared.
She was ten feet tall, her body composed of the cosmos itself. Her skin was the night sky, her hair was a flowing nebula, and her eyes were twin supernovas. She possessed no human face, yet she was breathtakingly beautiful.
Sunny stared, entranced.
"Will I become like this?" he wondered, looking at his own void-hand. He didn’t feel horror. He felt... aspiration.
"First of all," a voice echoed in his mind, soothing the very atoms of his existence. "This is not our first meeting, Cosmos."
Sunny blinked. He knew it wasn’t their first meeting, but this statement from Lady Sansa meant she could see the future.
"Time is a circle for beings like us," the Void Mother said, her voice sounding like a choir of stars. "You have met me many times in your future, which is my past. And you have met me in the past, which is your future."
She waved her hand dismissively. "Timelines give me a headache. Let us focus on the Now."
She leaned down, her massive cosmic eyes peering at him.
"You want to know how to save your people. You want to know how to move them."
"Yes," Sunny nodded. "Adam said the barrier can be broken. I need a way to protect them, even a better solution than the Realm of Advancement."
"You possess the answer already," Sansa said simply. "Use your God’s Domain."
"My Domain?"
"Your Domain is not just a barrier," she explained. "It is similar to how i carry your entire reality in my body, the remaining part.... You should figure it out by yourself."
Sunny froze. An epiphany struck him like a bolt of lightning.
Store the Realm... in my body?
"Thank you... Lady Sansa," Sunny bowed deeply.
He hesitated. He wanted to call her ’Mother,’ but the words stuck in his throat. It felt presumptive. It felt... small.
Sansa nodded, her form beginning to fade back into the void.
"Wait!" Sunny shouted, reaching out. "I have another question!"
He needed to know. Why him? Why was he the only one with a manifestation affinity among all the gods,? Why did he have a Void Hand? Was he a failed creation? A secret weapon?
Sansa stopped fading. She looked at him with an expression that might have been pity, or perhaps pride.
"No need to ask," she interrupted, her voice growing faint.
"You want to know your origin."
"Know this, Cosmos: I did not create you. I created Cai Zhen. I created Adam. I created every void born God."
"But you?"
She smiled, a dazzling flash of cosmic light.
"You were not created. You were not forged. You were Naturally Born."
"Unlike the Gods I made... you are the real thing."
POP.
She vanished. The tear in space sealed shut.
Sunny was left floating alone in the Void.
"Naturally... born?" Sunny whispered.
The words bounced around his skull.
Adam was created. The Old Gods were created. They were made just like he creates demigod through divine embryos.
But Sunny? He was naturally born, meaning he possessed a mother and father, ’is lady Sansa my mother?’ he thought.
He looked at his hand again. The particles swirled hypnotically.
"I must be overthinking it," Sunny muttered, trying to ground himself.
But the dots were connecting in a terrifying pattern.
His body becoming more cosmic. His ability to manifest. His unknown origin.
"It points to an endless rabbit hole," Sunny realized, a shiver running down his spine.
"If she didn’t create me... then who is my mother?"
