God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!

Chapter 361: Making Preparations [3]

Chapter 361: Making Preparations [3]

Initially, Gabriel’s extraction points were about 905. However, after the swift deduction of 55 EP used to extract the vampire duke, his total was now 850.

Although he did not know the exact scale of how his extraction points worked, after using it a few times, he was able to tell that a level 100 existence consumed roughly fifty or more EP.

To confirm his theory, he approached Dante’s corpse and repeated the process.

"Extract."

[Ding! Do you wish to extract the level 100 human, Dante Ironheart? Cost: 50]

His eyes flashed briefly when he saw this, confirming his theory.

But he also noticed the slight difference.

The vampire duke’s corpse had consumed fifty five extraction points, while Dante’s only required fifty. This was understandable, considering the vampire duke was much stronger.

"Yes," he nodded.

At his words, the familiar screen lit up across his retina once again.

[Offensive Tank (Special Class)]

[Earth Manipulation]

[Indestructible Body (A Rank Talent)]

"Now this is more like it." He could not help but let out a soft, pleasant laugh when he saw the options presented this time around.

They were far more impressive compared to the vampire duke’s options, despite the duke being higher in level.

"It seems you got something good," Seraphina whispered as she moved closer. She stretched a hand toward him, but when it was only a few meters away, memories of what had transpired earlier when they touched resurfaced in her mind, and she quickly pulled back.

Unaware of her actions, he spoke while maintaining the grin on his face.

"Yes, the options this time are much better than the previous ones," he revealed.

This time around, he did not necessarily need her help. He could make the choice himself, since Dante was human just like him.

Seeing another useful skill presented once again, a pang stirred in his heart. As usual, he had to rule it out, knowing it would not be useful yet.

His gaze drifted to the next option, the Offensive Tank class.

"So that was his class. No wonder he was so overwhelming," he muttered.

An Offensive Tank was a hybrid class, a combination of tank and warrior.

It was not a bad class to have in his arsenal. Obtaining this class meant that once the restriction on his classes was lifted, he would be able to learn skills tied to it.

Right now, however, not all skills could be learned. Most skills were class restricted, meaning he would not be able to use them yet.

The temptation was strong, but he did not want to choose hastily and regret it later. He moved on to the next option.

[Indestructible Body (Talent)]

Of the three options, this was the one that caught his attention the most. It was the first time since his rebirth that a talent option had appeared.

A small smile subconsciously formed on his face as the words of the giantess resurfaced in his mind.

...

"The skills of those you kill? Yours."

"Their strength, their talent, their souls? Yours."

"Their loot? Yours."

"Their class? Yours."

"The resources of the universe? Yours."

"Their experience points? Yours."

"You will devour the power of the strong and rise beyond the heavens."

...

"She was not really joking when she said I can extract everything."

The more he thought about it, the more he realized how broken his talent truly was and how it shattered the logic of the world.

Everyone was restricted to a single talent. That was the natural order. There was no such thing as dual talents.

If he selected this, he would become the only existence in the world with two talents.

He quickly ruled out Earth Manipulation, focusing entirely on Indestructible Body and the Offensive Tank class.

"If I go with the class, it would just sit there gathering dust. I would not be able to make proper use of it."

Although classes came with innate traits and passive bonuses just by holding them, to fully utilize a class, one needed skills.

That was one of the reasons he rarely used his Demonic Exorcist class. It currently had only one skill.

With his skill slots already exhausted, the class would remain unused.

That left only one option.

Talent.

Talents were similar to skills, except they required no cooldowns, no mana, and did not occupy skill slots.

Furthermore...

"It would complement my Iron Body skill perfectly," he thought, making his decision.

He selected the talent.

[Indestructible Body (A Rank)]

[Description: Your inner organs are made of an indestructible material, greatly increasing their durability and resistance to damage.]

"Do you wish to acquire this talent?"

Looking at the description, he felt it was powerful, but not omnipotent as the name suggested.

The reason Dante had fallen was because the same spot had been targeted repeatedly. With how devastating Crimson Pressure was, even an A Rank talent could not save him.

Without hesitation, he selected yes.

A purple trail of smoke flowed out of Dante’s corpse, entering through his mouth, nostrils, and every opening in his body.

At first, his body felt heavier than usual, as if his organs had been reforged from steel.

The sensation was strange and difficult to describe. The only way to confirm it was through physical testing.

"Seraphina."

No response.

"Seraphina," he called again, a subtle frown appearing on his face.

"Umu," she finally answered, turning toward him with a wide grin.

"Do not tell me you heard me the first time," he asked, brows raised.

She smiled mischievously.

"There is just something special when you call my name," she laughed.

He was momentarily speechless. To think she made him wait deliberately for that.

He shook his head helplessly, choosing not to dwell on her antics. He had grown accustomed to her strange behavior over time, especially how she took pleasure in teasing him whenever she could.

"Kick me," he said calmly.

She blinked, clearly startled.

"Kick you?" she repeated, tilting her head slightly.

"Yes," he replied evenly. "I need to test the talent."

For a brief moment, she stared at him, her crimson eyes scanning him from head to toe. Then a slow smile spread across her face, one filled with curiosity and something far more dangerous.

"You really trust me that much?" she asked softly.

"You would not kill me, would you?"
