God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!

Chapter 437: Who is VV?

Chapter 437: Who is VV?

"Valor... vv?" IceQueen muttered, finding the name a bit strange, especially the vv at the end. However, at the same time, she knew this was pretty normal in the game. Players tended to use all manner of names.

"Maybe I’ll ask what the vv means?" she said a moment later, staring at the armoured figure. She was trying to see if she could tell what gender this person was. Their voice sounded too distorted, so it was not reliable.

Several seconds passed. IceQueen looked at the armoured figure, waiting for their response. The fact that they were not saying anything made the atmosphere slightly awkward, but from the few interactions she could tell they did not like being rushed and preferred to do whatever they wanted at their own pace.

Unfortunately for IceQueen, even after waiting for so long, the answer she received was not satisfactory.

"VV means something."

That was the reply that came out of the armoured figure’s mouth.

IceQueen frowned and shook her head. "Yes, I know it means something, but could you tell me what it meant?"

"That’s classified." The figure spoke again in the same flat and emotionless voice, which was a clear indication that they did not want to talk about it.

The Chaosknight guild leader sighed. She felt that if she had gotten their full name, she could have easily done research to figure out who this person was. They looked as if they had just exited the starting town because of their relatively low level of 20, but their prowess told a completely different story, as though this was a pro who had already played dozens of games.

’I can’t think of any pro gamer from the other games with this abbreviation... there are several big game names that start with V... maybe this one?’

No name came to mind. In the end, she simply made a mental note to make do with what was given to her. But right now, her reason for approaching this figure was not just to learn about their name.

Two things had mainly attracted her.

One was the fighting style, which was embarrassing to admit, but not even her own team would be able to pull off moves like that, and mind you, she was a professional gamer with years of experience.

As for the second, it was because of the armour.

That armour, even though she could not tell the exact ranking, just judging from the aura alone, similar to how hero ranks felt, she could tell it was very powerful.

And lastly, it was because she wanted this talent for herself.

Yes, you heard it right.

She wanted the mysterious armoured figure to join Chaosknight. With them added to the squad, there would be a lot of improvement in the guild.

’This one will be difficult,’ IceQueen noted. She did not know if it was pretense or something else, but it appeared that this person did not know who she was.

IceQueen was one of the faces of the game and one of the most popular characters because she was not only the developer’s daughter but also a powerful guild leader with the biggest player based guild in the entire game.

To top it off, she also had a known rivalry with the main character of Realm of Ascendency, Gabriel Reyes.

Although her influence paled in comparison to Gabriel’s, her presence still carried weight. When new players came across her, they either showed excitement or respect, but here... there was nothing.

This made her fear that the talented armoured player might reject her offer.

She clenched her fist.

’I have to go all out with this one,’ she thought. ’If I don’t get them on my side, then Broken Dawn might definitely snatch them.’

Even though Chaosknight’s beef with Broken Dawn was strong and ongoing, IceQueen could not deny the fact that Broken Dawn was the most loved guild in the entire game. Even though they were not as established as older factions like the Holy Church, Olympus, Martial Palace, White Flame, and others, most players still preferred them over the rest.

Even though the odds were stacked against her, IceQueen straightened her posture. She was pretty tall, standing at 5’10, about the same height range as Valor.

"I was watching you from the beginning of the fight. That was very impressive," IceQueen claimed. "Most people cannot even handle one level 50 monster at your level."

Valor did not react, sword resting on their shoulder, body still.

"Not much of a talker, huh?" IceQueen smiled wryly, then continued. "Well, I’m IceQueen, the leader of Chaosknight guild."

She watched carefully for any sign of recognition after saying her name, half expecting widened eyes or at least a change in posture, but Valor remained exactly the same. The massive sword stayed on their shoulder, helmet angled slightly downward as if listening while also keeping their guard up.

The silence stretched again, long enough for IceQueen to feel the familiar pressure crawl up her spine, that strange mix of pride and irritation she always felt when someone failed to react to her identity.

"So," IceQueen continued, folding her arms loosely across her chest, forcing confidence into her voice even as her eyes studied every small movement, "you probably already know who I am, but just in case you don’t, Chaosknight is currently one of the fastest growing guilds in Realm of Ascendency. We control multiple resource zones, we have established teams in the major regions, and we’re already preparing for the next large scale event."

She paused briefly, then added casually, "And I don’t usually approach random players personally."

Valor’s helmet tilted a fraction, barely noticeable, but IceQueen caught it.

Smiling in satisfaction that she had caught the prideful figure’s attention, she continued, stepping forward.

"That alone should tell you I’m serious. Your combat sense is abnormal for your level, your reactions are clean, and your movement doesn’t look like someone who just logged in last week. You fight like someone who already understands MMORPGs. I won’t waste your time, Valor. I want to recruit you..."
