Chapter 475 475: The Mythic Tower

The moment Gabriel dismissed the meeting, the room emptied fast.

No one lingered for long. Division Commanders, Captains, and Lieutenants all had work waiting for them now. Messages began moving through the camp almost immediately. Names were recorded. Groups were sorted. Old squads were broken apart and rebuilt under the new structure. Even the refugees who had only arrived recently were quickly pulled into the process as New Dawn began taking proper shape.

People who had once wandered around with no clear purpose were now being registered, assigned, and examined for where they fit best. Fighters were grouped according to weapon type, skill use, stamina, and reliability. Support types were separated for logistics, healing, scouting, and supply work. Those with no combat ability were still given duties, mostly joining the administrative body headed by Arnold.

Nobody was allowed to remain idle anymore.

The three divisions had only just been announced, but the effect was immediate. Anna had already begun moving between different groups while keeping track of Gabriel's direct orders. SniperBowLegend was inspecting a line of archers and ranged fighters. Eron was reorganizing the old hunting parties into cleaner units. Lin Xuyi and Lin Xiyumi were already working with their newly assigned people while Ragnarok99 tried to keep his side from turning disorderly during the transfer. Even Cassie and Bunny, though still adjusting to their new roles, had been pulled into active work before they could fully process it.

From the upper floor of the mansion, Gabriel looked down at the camp through an open window. His hand rested on the frame, while his other hand was occupied with a ring.

He rolled it slowly between his fingers before slipping it on and off again. It was the reward Seraphina had given him back in the tower.

The Ring of the First Conqueror.

Inside it was a pocket mini tower that could be summoned anywhere. At its current level, it held twenty floors. It could spawn monsters, change difficulty, and level up through repeated use. It had been sitting in his possession for a while now, but there had always been too many immediate problems for him to make proper use of it.

Now there was breathing room. No major threat was pressing down on New Dawn. That made this the perfect time to build strength before the next crisis arrived.

Seraphina was leaning against the nearby wall in her Sarah form, arms crossed as she watched him play with the ring.

He flipped the ring multiple times with a thoughtful expression and then suddenly turned away from the window and said, "Come."

He left the room and headed out of the mansion. Seraphina followed behind him without another word.

They moved across the camp and toward one of the larger open fields near the outer side of New Dawn. Several people noticed him and stopped what they were doing. Others followed at a distance, curious about why he had suddenly headed there. Before long, a noticeable number of subordinates and ordinary troops had gathered nearby.

He stopped in the middle of the field and raised his hand. The ring was now on his finger.

For a second, nothing happened.

Then he activated it.

A pulse of power spread out from the ring, and the empty space before him began to warp. Dark stone rose from the ground, taking a circular shape, and in the middle, a swirling red energy formed.

In a short time, what appeared to be a portal stood in the open field. It was enough to make everyone nearby stop and stare.

"What is that?"

Voices rose immediately.

"Was that here before?"

"He summoned it?"

"Is it a treasure?"

Even some of the Captains who had been in the middle of organizing their people turned to look.

He faced them calmly and spoke without raising his voice.

"This is a training tower. It is very similar to the Blood Tower from several weeks ago. Inside are monsters. The floors can be adjusted to suit the strength of the people entering. Death inside it will not be treated lightly, so no one is to act carelessly. But from today onward, this tower will be used to train New Dawn."

He pointed toward the entrance. "You will enter in groups. Captains will decide the order. Stronger groups will start deeper. Weaker ones will begin on lower difficulty. Everyone trains. No exceptions."

After his words, the Captains began calling their people over. Orders spread. Groups were formed. The first teams moved toward the tower entrance under close instruction while others waited behind them.

He remained where he was and watched the process begin. The training started that same day and did not stop.

One group entered and fought their way through the first floors before stumbling out exhausted and bruised. Another group went in after adjusting their formation and lasted longer. Archers learned how to fight with better spacing. Shield users learned how to endure pressure without breaking formation. Support types were forced to think faster because tower monsters did not wait for anyone. Scouts improved their footwork. Frontline fighters became less reckless after getting punished repeatedly inside.

Day after day, the pace continued. The tower stayed active while New Dawn rotated people through it. Some entered nervous and came out shaken. Some came out grinning after a hard win. Others had to be dragged to healing after pushing too far. Even so, no one could deny the result. The repeated fights sharpened them fast.

Their teamwork improved. Their reactions improved. Their confidence improved.

People who would once have panicked against monsters began holding their ground. Fighters who used to rely only on brute force began adjusting their rhythm. Support units stopped behaving like baggage and began moving like part of a whole.

As the days passed, even the difference in their bodies began to show. They moved better, recovered faster, and hit harder.

He stood near the tower entrance one evening while another group came staggering out from training. Sweat, bruises, and tired breathing filled the air, but the look in their eyes was very different from before.

Seraphina stood beside him with her arms crossed as she watched them. She gave a faint smile.

"At this rate, every one of your men will turn into frightening superhumans."

He looked toward the next team preparing to enter.

Seraphina continued in the same calm tone. "Keep forcing them through that tower and soon it will take more than two enemies just to bring one of them down."
