Chapter 2155: Members in Action

Prison Island

The Red smoke was recording the information. The old wizards continued to share information among themselves.

But they didn’t know someone else was listening to them. They discussed how the restrictions were placed on them.

Without calling out any names, they said that the restrictions were too severe for them. A small mistake could cost their heads.

"Why are the elder-level powerhouses being so strict?"

"No one is going to find the place," the third old man spoke this time.

"The higher-ups are acting as if they are ready to face something. They might be preparing for the worst," the first elder said.

He could sense things better. He thought that the higher-ups were on edge. It only showed that the situation was getting worse.

The female elders were silent.

Buzz!

Just then, their devices buzzed. They took out their devices and saw that it was time for them to assemble. It was going to be another meeting before duty.

Swoosh!

All five of them then left the building.

At the same time, the system alerted me. I appeared inside the system space for a couple of seconds.

When I got the confirmation from the system that they had left, I appeared back. The Red smoke appeared at the same time.

"Master, they have left for the meeting. The building is empty right now," the zero puppet said.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. Next, I followed the zero puppet into the room. After going inside, I found that the room was empty.

Then I turned toward the zero puppet and asked him to brief me on everything.

"Master, they were patrolling wizards. And they were discussing something important," the zero puppet said.

After that, it began to explain more things. I listened to the explanation with keen ears. As time passed, I began to understand the workings here.

When the zero puppet was done with the explanation, my eyes flashed with surprise. I didn’t expect the elder-level powerhouses to reinforce the prison cells with enhanced magic.

What caught my attention was the intel that someone powerful was imprisoned in the deepest part of the underground prison.

And that powerful person was a Forbidden Wizard. I didn’t know why, but I thought that person could be the Forbidden Wizard Erwin.

He was someone from the lands of the Magic City. He was a wizard of the magic tower. He was also a member of the Magic Union.

They had imprisoned someone of that stature. Obviously, he was going to retaliate. And the retaliation was not going to be ordinary. He might destroy the whole underground prison.

"You have done a good job," I said to the zero puppet. Appreciation was a must. Because of the zero puppet, I didn’t have to take risks to gather intel personally.

Then I thought of the members. It was time to get their professional help. If I sent the zero puppet to collect information, it might attract unwanted attention.

There were movements of the magic lords and the forbidden wizards here. I had still not gotten confirmation whether the forbidden wizards could see through the red smoke.

So it was better to get the help of the members.

"Zero, watch the surroundings. I don’t want the patrolling wizards’ gaze to turn toward this building," I said to the zero puppet.

The zero puppet obeyed the order. It then went toward the door and began to hover near it. The Red smoke didn’t have to leave the building.

It could monitor the surroundings from here.

Next, I brought the members outside one by one. Otto, Patrick, Hank, and the old man Rock appeared. Then I brought Lady Caitlin outside.

"What’s this place?" Otto asked.

Patrick began to observe the surroundings. Hank and the old man did the same.

Lady Caitlin was calm and composed.

"Don’t use your mental power. We are inside the prison island," I said to them.

Gasp!

Hearing that, their expressions shifted dramatically. But they were extremely quiet. They didn’t make any noise.

"Hank, can you use your magic to explore the terrain? Try not to alert anyone," I said to Hank.

After a long time, Hank received a direct order. He was more than happy to help.

"Otto, the same goes for you. Use your magic to gather information. There is an underground prison here. Even Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards are imprisoned here."

"I think Elder Erwin might be there," I said to him.

Then my gaze fell on Patrick, and I asked, "Do you have any ways to find the underground prison?"

"Master, I can find the prison. But my magic spell would expose us directly," Patrick replied.

Hearing that, I was not surprised. I kind of knew it. But it was better to ask him.

Then my gaze shifted to Old Man Rock and Lady Caitlin.

"Do you guys have any suggestions?" I asked.

Old Man Rock frowned and asked, "Are there any Forbidden Wizards here?"

Lady Caitlin’s gaze fell on me as well.

"I saw one Forbidden Wizard exit earlier. He was the same old man whom I followed to reach this place. The rest of the patrolling wizards are Magic Lords," I said to them.

Hearing that, everyone’s expression hardened.

"If there are Forbidden Wizards here, then we cannot help much. You will face a do-or-die situation. Are you sure?" he asked.

They were inside the prison island right now. If even one of the Forbidden Wizards saw the master, it would mean trouble.

Lady Caitlin said, "I cannot help you against the Forbidden Wizards. You know their spell strength better than us."

The faces of the other members were serious, but they were doing their tasks. Only the Supreme Wizard Patrick broke out into a cold sweat.

He was hearing something that shook him to the core. Even Magic Lords were afraid of the Forbidden Wizards; there was no need to even mention Supreme Wizards.

They could be easily killed by the Forbidden Wizards. He hoped the Master would survive this place; otherwise, he could face extreme danger here.

Otto and Hank were busy doing their tasks. They were trying to find the necessary information.
