The five seniors in the office decided to report to the Elder because the uneasy feeling in their hearts had grown stronger. They could not hide the matter anymore.

Everyone made the unanimous decision and contacted the Elder regarding their Head, Richard.

The communication medium was once again old school: it was done using a communication scroll.

The communication scroll was activated. It burned in black fire the next second.

After completing the task, the five seniors relaxed and looked at one another. They were now waiting for a reply from the Elder.

Not long after, their digital communication device buzzed. One of them picked it up and answered the call. It was another Forbidden Wizard.

He started inquiring about Head Richard. The senior answered everything. Then, they were told to notify the other guard post wizards to put them on alert.

The matter could not be kept hidden any longer. This was because Head Richard had an influential family member inside the Covenant.

If that person learned the news, everyone would face his wrath.

Soon, the news was reported to the others. The information spread across the island like wildfire. All the wizards guarding the posts learned the news.

The news reached the ears of the core members as well. They were not worried about the disappearance of the guard post wizards, but they were worried about Richard because he was part of the core organization.

The members tried to gather information, but they knew nothing about it. The uncertainty caused a wave of panic among the guard post wizards.

In fact, they knew they were being controlled by the core Covenant members; the guard post wizards understood their situation well.

If things went wrong for them, the organization would replace them with other groups. Those other groups would likely come from the prison island.

The Covenant had captured hundreds of wizards for their work, so panic began to settle among them.

Elder Muriel was in her lab. The news reached her ears as well. At that, a slight smile appeared on her face. It was creepy, because for her, it was good news.

If the guard post wizards were dead, the organization would find another batch of captives to imprison. She could torture them as well.

It had been some time since a fresh batch arrived at the prison island. She was looking forward to the new arrivals.

Lady Caitlin was interrogating Head Richard. At first, her magic took time to work because the mental strength of a Forbidden Wizard was strong.

It had not weakened despite his severe injuries.

"Tell me the details you can share about the Covenant Organization," Lady Caitlin demanded.

She looked down at the wizard, who was covered in blood. She could feel that her magic was working now.

Richard opened his eyes. He was being compelled to spill information, but the information was not that secret.

He did not know why he felt compelled to reveal it. There was nothing wrong with it, and it was not as though he was going to expose any core secrets.

"The Covenant Organization is run by twelve Elder-level powerhouses. The twelve Elders are descendants of the old puppet organization that once inhabited the small island."

"Later, due to a catastrophic accident, the old organization was destroyed," Richard said, slightly dazed.

The information struck Lady Caitlin and Old Man Rock like a bolt of lightning. They had not expected to uncover such shocking secrets.

Now they understood that their Master Vincent was right. He had told them that the Mage Union suspected remnants of the old puppet organization had resurfaced.

Now, it was confirmed to be true.

Lady Caitlin then asked, "What happened next?"

"During the time of the accident, several core wizards were away on a mission. All of them became homeless overnight. Most were hunted down by enemies of the organization."

"A few survived and passed down the legacy to their descendants," Richard added.

Hearing that, Lady Caitlin’s eyes flashed with a glint. Everything was becoming much clearer. Even with her decades of experience, the news was staggering.

Old Man Rock felt the same way. He had read similar tales in storybooks, but this was the first time he witnessed it in reality.

Lady Caitlin collected her thoughts and decided to ask a more important question.

"So, what are your organization’s intentions? Why are you here?" Lady Caitlin asked.

Hearing that, Forbidden Wizard Richard broke into a cold sweat. Something in his mind reacted. The dizziness vanished.

He regained clarity, but it was too late. The mental restriction had been triggered.

"What have you done?" Richard asked in terror.

Lady Caitlin turned toward the old man and shouted, "Get back!"

The next second, they leaped backward, but they were too late. If the explosion went off, they would die alongside the Forbidden Wizard.

Both of their expressions turned grim.

Lady Caitlin felt a wave of regret. Master Vincent had warned her repeatedly to choose her words carefully, yet she had made a mistake in the end.

Right then, I appeared behind Forbidden Wizard Richard. The system was warning me of imminent danger. I grabbed his shoulder and teleported outside.

Next, I noticed the Forbidden Wizard’s body was enveloped in a mysterious power.

Wasting no time, I teleported inside Gregor Mansion and rushed toward the control room to see.

When I appeared in front of the control mirror, I saw the Forbidden Wizard’s body fully engulfed by that mysterious power.

The next second, his body blasted into pieces. It triggered a massive explosion with a deafening noise, carving a deep crater into the ground.

The force obliterated everything.

The shockwave spread outward, destroying everything in its path. Dust and smoke rose into the air.

In the blink of an eye, a mushroom cloud billowed to the side. The scene was terrifying.

I looked at the mirror in shock. Fortunately, I had arrived just in time to save them. Otherwise, Lady Caitlin and Old Man Rock would have died in the explosion.
