Chapter 495 - Clap!
Chapter 495 - Clap!
"What?"
Aurelia inquired, more annoyed and angry than surprised. She already knew the hidden identity of Asaemon.
After all, she was the one who created the very meaning and
existence of Abomination by sacrificing her Seed of Earth; and also the one who chose Asaemon as one.
All for a good reason, of course, but now everything seemed to slip through her fingers.
"I should have not locked all my memories." She muttered in barely restrained frustration, closing her eyes in a useless attempt to calm herself.
"What made him choose that?" Aurelia asked, "Asaemon is not a fool no matter how easygoing he is. He knew selling his Soul was the worst thing he could ever do. So why?"
{No choice.} Sky said lazily, {At least, Lilith's Firstborn made sure no other choice was presented to him. If Asmodeus was there, it would have been different. The First Son of Sin knew best the greed and ambitions of his Soulbeast.}
"Where is Asaemon's own Soulbeast?"
{Inside the hands of Lilith's Firstborn, of course. Don't you know, or are your memories still fuzzy, Earth? Did you forget the goal of Lilith's Firstborn?}
"Refresh my mind." Aurelia sighed, "I have abandoned my role eons ago. And don't forget, I am still not whole. I am bound to forget things."
Sky remained silent for a heartbeat before continuing with a calm, descending voice,
{The Firstborn wants to be whole, once more. And the only way to be whole is...}
"To make the two children of Sin to be one instead of two." Aurelia completed, eyes dilating.
{Yes. Asmodeus and Asaemon are two sides of the same coin. They are twins, to begin with. Or rather, they were supposed to be.}
Aurelia raised her hand and began to massage her temple, feeling a terrible headache coming. Too many things were happening at once; things that were never supposed to happen.
It was getting overwhelming for her just awakened mind.
And amidst all this...
"Noah," Aurelia breathed, eyes narrowing, "Where is Noah?" {Spirit World.}
Her brows furrowed, face frowning deeply,
"Until now?" Her voice was incredulous, "How-!"
{Mother involved him in a sort of plan. He is dealing with a being...I shall rather not disclose. It's no longer your responsibility.}
"How long will it take until he comes back?" She asked, "That, at least, you can tell me?"
{We can no longer see nor predict The Prince's Path. But his coming is not far away.}
At last, Sky's voice was filled with hidden awe.
{The Primus Universe is now messy. Too many hidden traitors and foreign beings peeking around recklessly, yet the inhabitants are blind enough to not see them. His arrival will be welcomed.}
"Will he be ready?"
{You know best, don't you?} Sky's tone was suddenly tight, {If you didn't, you wouldn't have linked your Existence threads between the
three of you.}
{Truly, what were you thinking, Earth?}
Aurelia only smiled at that, "You know what I have always sought since the beginning. Something you were not able to give me."
Sky's voice was disdainful, {A family. A family at the level of the Four Ruling Races. You are being delusional. It's impossible, no matter how The Prince is exceptional.}
"We shall see."
{But why them?}
Aurelia's answer was the faintest of shrugs, eyes closing,
"Why not them?"
...
At the same time, in her realm, Gaia was looking at the Spirit World, her lips curving into an open, proud smile.
"He really did it." Heboric's voice echoed all around, edged with a note
of surprise.
"Didn't I tell you?" Gaia's smug voice was oddly irritating to Heboric, "My son has this habit of turning any situation to his advantage." "There is a word for such a thing." Heboric sneered, "Do you want me to tell you, Gaia?"
"Keep your thoughts to yourself, Heboric." She waved her hand dismissively, "and let me focus on-!"
Gaia abruptly fell silent, her eyes immediately going wide, her jaw
almost dropping to the ground.
Heboric's puzzlement could be felt even if it couldn't be seen.
He turned his head towards the direction where Gaia was looking and saw the Pale Lady and Noah out of the consciousness realm.
Noah's face was achingly beautiful with a mischievous smile painted
on it. It was obvious he was going to cause some problems.
But Gaia was not looking at him. She was staring at the Pale Lady,
more precisely at her finger.
And that was when Heboric noticed it.
"LOGOS's blessing..." he cursed, feeling a shiver run down his
withered heart, "...it can't be right? Gaia...it can't be right...?"
Gaia didn't even deign to answer. Her mind was still frozen on what she saw and the implications of it if it was true.
"I solved a problem..." Gaia whispered, closing her eyes in order to
avoid going absolutely mad at her own son, "...and he just created another one for me."
At her words, Heboric finally realized that this was indeed true.
"I was right." He whispered, sighing, "Children are trouble. My greatest decision till now is deciding to never have one."
For the first time in a long, long time...
"On that, you are right."
...Gaia agreed with Heboric.
She fell on the ground, anticipating soon enough the contact of the
Pale Lady.
'Ah...Raj...'
"Hahahahah!"
Noah barked a laugh as he appeared in the sky of the Principality,
Diatah at his side, her tattoo still glowing.
Her presence enveloped the whole Principality easily, making anyone
inside feel goosebumps crawling on their skin.
No time was wasted.
"Let's begin, sweetheart!" Noah yelled, and then...
CLAP-!
Diatah clapped her hands loud enough to be heard all over.
Noah disappeared with her clap, arriving in front of his wives. They looked at him, dazed.
"Missed me?" He smiled, before taking the broken red Tower of Light
and Love,
"Wait a little bit more for me to finish inside the Tree of Ashes." He
said, clapping his hands at the same time as Diatah,
CLAP-!
His wives disappeared, entering the Tree of Ashes, while he disappeared once more; but this time appeared in a world of fire and
shadows.
His arrival made both Idalia Marigold and Shadow halt abruptly their fight, staring at Noah standing between them carelessly. The two women were deeply wounded, their breathing ragged,
bodies bleeding from all sides.
Noah swept his eyes around, ignoring them, finding easily the broken Tower belonging to Shadow.
It was just inside that misting mass of Shadow.
In an instant, Noah was in front of her, time completely stopping with
his blessing. His hand whipped through the air, entering directly
inside Shadow.
The Soul Ruler gasped.
Grasping the broken Tower, Noah snatched it away from her, causing
a yelp of pain to erupt from the mouth of the Soul Ruler.
"You-!"
"Light was right." Noah said, eyebrows arching as he looked at
Shadow, "You feel like Elira. How strange."
"Elira?" Shadow stammered, "Where-!"
Her words stopped as chains made of ashes erupted from reality and
chained both the cursing Idalia and Shadow.
"No time for talk, lady." He said, then clapped in perfect sync with
Taraji.
CLAP-!
The two women were transported inside the Tree of Ashes. Noah, meanwhile, disappeared and appeared back in the sky, beside Diatah with all the fragments of the broken Tower floating in front of
him.
"You will use this to take over the authority?" Taraji asked, her hands still in the position of clapping.
"Yes." Noah nodded, "But the Origin Will will probably stop me if I
attempt the process in this way. And so, like we have talked about, I
need you to destroy the entire Principality!" He spared her a glance and a smile, "Just to give it something to worry about until I am done."
Taraji nodded subtly, her head facing forward, "Then you better be
fast."
She smiled coldly, her two hands glowing an intense pale light, "This one will be faster."
Noah mirrored her smile, "I am ready, sweetheart."
"Then..."
The eyes of Diatah brightened. And Noah's lips parted,
"Here we g―!" CLAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP—!
In one frightening instant, the whole Principality exploded into ashes.
