Chapter 79: Seeking Death

Chapter 79: Seeking Death

“You all came specifically to find me. If I didn’t show up, wouldn’t that disappoint you greatly? Qin Shiming, wouldn’t you agree?” Jiang Feng said coldly, looking at the young man.

Jiang Feng was naturally no stranger to Qin Shiming. This guy had caused him trouble multiple times in the past, leaving a rather deep impression. Although Jiang Feng had thought that the Qin Family might make a move recently, he never expected that the person who would come would be Qin Shiming. It should be noted that while Qin Shiming was also a direct descendant of the Qin Family, he was notoriously idle, a typical wastrel who never did anything serious. He spent his days indulging in food, drink, and gambling, achieving nothing and causing more trouble than he was worth.

For Qin Junlin to send such a person to cause trouble, it seemed he truly looked down on Jiang Feng. However, Jiang Feng didn’t care; regardless of whether it was the useless Qin Shiming or even if Qin Junlin himself came, it made no difference to him.

“That’s right. If you had quietly run away, I would indeed be very disappointed,” Qin Shiming said with a smug smile, filled with arrogance.

Jiang Feng frowned, too lazy to waste words with him, and directly said, “Qin Shiming, no matter what you’re here for, get out before I lose my temper!”

“Get out?” Qin Shiming was taken aback, not expecting Jiang Feng to be so aggressive. He then looked at Jiang Feng with interest and said ominously, “Hey, Young Master Jiang, everyone calls you Young Master, do you really think you’re something special? For me to leave, who do you think you are?”

As soon as he finished speaking, “Slap!” Jiang Feng delivered a resounding slap across his face.

“Qin Shiming, I’ll give you one more chance. Get out now, and I won’t hold tonight’s events against you,” Jiang Feng said coldly, having somehow appeared right in front of Qin Shiming.

Qin Shiming hadn’t even seen how Jiang Feng had approached, let alone that he would strike. He felt a sharp pain in his cheek and hadn’t even reacted before Jiang Feng was standing right in front of him.

He was momentarily horrified, staggering back two steps, covering his cheek with his hand and screaming, “Jiang Feng, you really have some guts to lay a hand on me. I see you’re looking for death!”

“I’ve always had guts, no need for you to remind me,” Jiang Feng waved his hand again, delivering another slap to Qin Shiming’s face, saying indifferently, “Qin Shiming, you really overestimate yourself. With a waste like you, how dare you threaten me?”

After two slaps, Qin Shiming was left dazed, unable to comprehend how Jiang Feng could be so arrogant. The way he looked at Jiang Feng was as if he had seen a ghost. Just as Jiang Feng was extremely familiar to him, Qin Shiming was equally familiar with Jiang Feng. In his eyes, Jiang Feng was a useless softie, someone anyone could easily bully.

Thus, coming here to find Jiang Feng, he thought he could do whatever he wanted. Even if he crippled Jiang Feng, he believed Jiang Feng wouldn’t dare to utter a sound. However, he never expected Jiang Feng to be so forceful, completely disregarding him and the few people he brought along. He struck without negotiation, and if it weren’t for their previous encounters, Qin Shiming would have doubted whether he had recognized the right person.

Staring at Jiang Feng in disbelief, he felt the burning pain on both sides of his face. Pain was secondary; the most important thing was that he couldn’t afford to lose face. With a low growl, Qin Shiming shouted, “What are you all standing there for? Get him! Cripple him!”

“With you? You think you can cripple me?” Jiang Feng sneered coldly, kicking Qin Shiming in the chest and sending him flying.

The few people who had come with Qin Shiming were stunned by Jiang Feng’s arrogance, their expressions changing drastically as they rushed to attack Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng couldn’t be bothered to even glance at them. He simply lifted his foot and kicked them away one by one. In less than a minute, the few people Qin Shiming brought were all sprawled on the ground, some with broken arms, others with broken legs, each one howling like a ghost, creating quite a lively scene. This was still Jiang Feng showing mercy; otherwise, with his past temperament, anyone daring to lay a hand on him would have long been turned into a corpse, even if it was the King of Heaven himself.

This time, Qin Shiming came with three cars and nearly seven or eight people. He initially thought dealing with Jiang Feng would be like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but he never expected Jiang Feng’s combat power to be so monstrous. The people he brought had almost no ability to resist and were all swiftly taken care of. Shock and fear filled his heart; how could he not realize that despite all his calculations, he had underestimated Jiang Feng.

The face that had been beaten to a swollen mess by Jiang Feng was pale, resembling a kaleidoscope. Jiang Feng didn’t care about what Qin Shiming was thinking. He walked directly in front of Qin Shiming and said indifferently, “Qin Shiming, I’ve already given you a chance. It’s you who didn’t seize it.”

“Jiang Feng, you…” A chill ran through Qin Shiming’s heart. Jiang Feng looked at him with indifference and lifted his foot to stomp towards his chest. While he wouldn’t kill Qin Shiming, he certainly wouldn’t let him off easily after making such a grand show of bringing people to trouble him.

Seeing Jiang Feng lift his foot, Qin Shiming was nearly driven to the brink of madness, letting out a furious roar, “Jiang Feng, you forced me! You forced me! Tonight, I will definitely kill you!”

As he spoke, Qin Shiming pulled out a gun from his pocket, unsteadily pointing it at Jiang Feng, his eyes filled with malice. Jiang Feng frowned slightly at the sight of the gun and said in a deep voice, “Qin Shiming, do you dare to pull the trigger?”

“If you don’t believe me, feel free to try,” Qin Shiming replied, struggling to get up from the ground, licking his lips coldly.

“No need to try. Just shoot. If you can’t kill me, I’ll kill you!” Jiang Feng said casually.

“Haha…” Qin Shiming laughed wildly, “Jiang Feng, do you really think I won’t dare to shoot you? Since you want to die, I’ll grant your wish.”

As he spoke, Qin Shiming was about to pull the trigger. Jiang Feng dared to treat him this way, and even if he killed Jiang Feng, it would be worth it.

Just as his finger moved, Qin Shiming’s mouth dropped open in shock because he saw Jiang Feng’s hand had reached in front of him, looking at him expressionlessly, while the gun in his hand had somehow ended up in Jiang Feng’s grasp.

“Idiot!” Jiang Feng sneered coldly, pressing the gun directly against Qin Shiming’s head.

“Jiang Feng, you…” Qin Shiming couldn’t help but shiver.

“I’ll ask you, do you think I dare to kill you or not?” Jiang Feng interrupted him directly.

Qin Shiming was utterly stunned, nodding in a panic.

“Congratulations, you got it right.” Without any hesitation, Jiang Feng pulled the trigger, and with a muffled bang, Qin Shiming’s head tilted, falling into a pool of blood.

The gunshot startled the people who had come with Qin Shiming; their eyes widened in disbelief, as if their eyeballs were about to pop out. Jiang Feng had killed someone, and it was a member of the Qin Family. They all knew that things had escalated, and not only would Jiang Feng be finished, but they would also inevitably be implicated.

Jiang Feng paid no mind to their thoughts. Although he hadn’t initially intended to kill Qin Shiming, the moment Qin Shiming pulled out the gun and pointed it at him, Qin Shiming was already a dead man.

No one could threaten him, not even the King of Heaven.

Though killing Qin Shiming might bring him some trouble, Jiang Feng was well aware that if he didn’t eliminate Qin Shiming, he would face endless harassment in the future. The outcome would ultimately be a fight to the death, so it was better to squash all the trouble in one go.

Moreover, since he had already done what needed to be done, he naturally felt no regret at all. His gaze shifted, heavily landing on the others, and after a moment of thought, Jiang Feng said in a deep voice, “Is there anyone still able to stand?”

A minute later, accompanied by the sound of car engines, three black sedans, under Jiang Feng’s guidance, headed towards the outskirts of Yanjing City.

…

Around nine o’clock in the evening, Zhao Wuxia finally drove back to the residence. There had been some issues at the company that were quite troublesome, and she had to hold a high-level meeting for that, which took up a lot of her time.

At this moment, she was both tired and exhausted, but just thinking about how Jiang Feng might not have even eaten dinner in the residence gave her a feeling of urgency to return home. After leaving the office, she immediately drove back.

The car stopped in front of the residence, and Zhao Wuxia got out, walking straight into the yard. As soon as she entered, she faintly smelled something strange in the air, something akin to the scent of blood.

Her expression changed slightly, and she hurried inside, looking around the room but not seeing Jiang Feng. Her heart sank suddenly, realizing that something might have happened.

Zhao Wuxia turned on all the lights in the house and then returned to the yard, where she finally discovered the source of the bloody smell she had noticed earlier.

On the bluestone floor of the yard, there were several pools of dark blood. The bloodstains, left by someone unknown, had already dried and solidified in the wind, but the pungent smell still lingered, strongly irritating Zhao Wuxia’s nerves.

Zhao Wuxia stared blankly at the pools of blood, feeling a shiver run through her entire body, as if a large piece of her heart had been hollowed out. Taking a few deep breaths of cold air, she slowly crouched down, trying to feel with her hand. Just as she reached out, she pulled it back, and when she tried to stand up, her body swayed unsteadily, causing her to fall back down onto the ground.

“Something happened to Jiang Feng?” The anxious thought grew wildly in her mind like rampant weeds, frantically taking root. Even though she was usually adept at handling various emergencies, at this moment, Zhao Wuxia’s heart was in complete disarray.

“What should I do?” she muttered to herself in a panic, her eyes feeling dry, and tears were almost about to fall.

Zhao Wuxia decided to take out her phone to call the police, but as soon as she pulled out her phone, she immediately dismissed that idea. Now that Jiang Feng’s life and death were uncertain, if the police were involved, things would inevitably escalate.

If Jiang Feng was fine, that would be good, but if he unfortunately fell into someone else’s hands, calling the police could very likely put Jiang Feng in danger.

In such hesitation, Zhao Wuxia had no clear idea in her mind. She thought about calling Old Master Jiang to report the situation, but quickly abandoned that thought as well. She just sat there in a daze in the yard, looking as if she had turned into a statue, completely motionless.
