Hearing my answer, not just Edgar, even Ronnie gulped in shock.

“I think you noticed it too Liz but right after these two tried to squabble with me in front of the class, I saw them talking with Wilhelm later as well.”

Yes…………from that moment on, I had a feeling these two were connected to Wilhelm somehow.
As for how and why they were connected with Wilhelm, I had Anne look it all up though.

With drooping shoulders, both Edgar and Ronnie quietly left the garden area.

Hearing my joke, Liz chuckled and smiled.

There’s no need to call her here just for this and burden her further.
“Yes. It was as Prince Rudolf expected, and both Edgar and Ronnie did indeed contact Wilhelm. As for the details of their conversation………..”
Maya began to explain the details of their conversation.
Apparently, Edgar over exaggerated on how easily he beat me or whatnot.
Well, Ronnie was the only one who actually fought me, and Edgar avoided fighting me altogether so I guess he must have exaggerated to hide his own shame as well.
“That aside, did you find the real reason why Wilhelm asked them to do all this?”

Normally thinking, I have to guess that by embarrassing me in front of Liz, he was perhaps trying to dampen Liz’s feelings for me.
After all, Liz was from the Fahlcrantz family, the very symbol of military might of the whole Baldyk Empire.
But, his real goal………or rather, after supposedly making me lose face, he would surely come out and do something grander and bolder than before.
That too, in the presence of the public I imagine.
“I have feeling this will be a rumour going around inside the academy. [Prince Rudolf was easily destroyed by Edgar and Ronnie] or something similar.”
“……….I am certainly not Lady Lizbeth but, are you really okay with that?”

My reputation was already low, and now it’ll fall even further.
