Chapter 728: Mothers healing - part 1

"Easy... easy," she whispered, her voice filled with concern.

"Don’t push yourself."

Once he was properly sitting up, Olivia quickly brought over a few pillows and carefully placed them behind his back, making sure he was supported. She then sat back down on the edge of the bed, this time even closer than before. She kept one hand on his shoulder and the other gently resting on his chest, right above the bandages.

"Tell me how to do it," she said softly. "How do I give you my mana?"

Julian took a slow, pained breath.

"Just as before, Mother," he said quietly.

"You have to face your back to me and relax. When you feel something pulling at your mana, do not resist. Just let it happen."

Olivia nodded silently. She turned around on the bed so her back was facing him. Her long dark hair cascaded down her back, the orange gown slightly slipping off one shoulder and revealing the smooth, pale skin beneath.

Julian raised both hands and gently placed them on her shoulders.

The moment skin met skin, Olivia’s body reacted with a small, involuntary shiver. She quickly suppressed it, but Julian felt it clearly under his palms.

For a brief moment, he simply watched his hands resting on her warm skin.

Just as it had happened earlier that day, Kraven’s residual patterns, which had been wild and restless at the start, slowly began to calm down.

It was as if this was precisely what they wanted. Since Julian was willingly giving it to them, the patterns accepted it patiently rather than fighting and corrupting.

He closed his eyes and focused.

A small wave of his mana flowed from his core and traveled through the vessels to his hands, which then glowed with a soft blue light. The mana slipped gently into Olivia’s body through her shoulders.

"Ahh..."

Olivia gasped softly as she felt the familiar warm current enter her. Her shoulders tensed for a second, then slowly relaxed as the mana spread through her veins.

The flow started gently, but as Julian’s mana mixed with hers, something shifted. The direction reversed.

Olivia’s rich Peak Sovereign mana began to flow out of her body and into Julian’s hands.

"Mmmh..."

A low, breathy moan escaped her lips before she could stop it. She bit her lower lip hard, embarrassed by the sound, but the sensation was too intense to fully suppress.

The mana transfer felt deeply intimate. Every pulse of power moving from her core into Julian’s body sent waves of warmth spreading through her chest, down her spine, and into her lower abdomen. Her breathing quickly became uneven.

"Haa... ahhn..."

Another soft moan slipped out as more of her mana was drawn away.

Olivia’s hands clutched the bedsheets tightly. She could feel her mana being gently pulled toward him, but it felt strangely pleasurable, almost addictive, making her body heat up from the inside.

Julian kept his hands steady on her shoulders, his eyes still closed in concentration. He was careful not to take too much at once, but the purity of her mana was incredibly nourishing. It soothed his damaged vessels and began replenishing what he had lost during the duel.

Olivia’s head tilted slightly forward. Her breathing had grown heavier.

"Nngh... Kraven..." she whispered, her voice shaky. "It feels... strange... but warm..."

She tried to stay composed, but another involuntary moan escaped her as a particularly rich wave of mana left her core.

"Mmmph... haa..."

Julian remained silent, fully focused on the transfer. He could feel Kraven’s patterns growing calmer and more satisfied with every drop of mana he received from her. The dangerous hunger that had been raging earlier was now subdued, almost docile.

Olivia’s breathing was still slightly uneven when she asked in a breathless voice, "Is it working?"

Julian slowly opened his eyes. The faint blue glow around his hands had dimmed, but the connection remained steady.

"Yes, Mother," he replied, his voice low and tired.

"My core is filling up. My injuries are healing as well."

Olivia let out a soft, relieved sigh.

At least he is benefiting from this embarrassment, she thought to herself.

The idea that she was willingly giving her mana and making those shameful sounds in front of her own son, still made her cheeks burn with shame. Yet seeing him in pain had pushed her past her hesitation.

Nearly twenty minutes had passed since the mana transfer began.

Julian’s condition had visibly improved. Some color had returned to his face, and the worst of the internal bleeding had stopped. But then, a mischievous idea formed in his mind.

He intentionally began pulling less of her mana.

At first, Olivia remained silent. She seemed not to notice the change. But as a few more minutes passed, her brows gradually furrowed.

She could feel it now that she focused. The warm, steady flow of mana leaving her body had become noticeably weaker.

"Kraven..." she said, her voice carrying a hint of confusion. "What’s happening? The flow is very less than before."

Julian answered in an exhausted voice, sounding genuinely strained.

"Mother... I don’t know either. It seems my control is fraying."

Olivia turned her head slightly, trying to look at him over her shoulder.

"But how?" she asked.

Her voice had grown more stable now that the intense pulling sensation had weakened.

"Just a moment ago it was so strong..."

Julian coughed weakly a couple of times.

"Cough... cough... It seems the amount my hands can draw from your shoulders is limited to this much when I’m in this state," he explained, his tone sounding tired and slightly frustrated.

"If I want to take more, I may need... a better point of contact."

Olivia was quiet for a moment, processing his words. She could still feel the gentle pull of mana, but it was nowhere near as intense as it had been earlier. The embarrassing warmth and overwhelming sensations had also lessened significantly.

She shifted slightly on the bed, still sitting with her back to him.

"Is there something wrong with the technique?" she asked, concern creeping back into her voice.
