Chapter 730: Mothers healing - part 3

She quickly bit her lower lip, horrified by the sudden progression. Her heart began hammering wildly in her chest. She told herself it was an accident, that he was simply adjusting his grip to maintain the mana flow. But the rationalization did little to calm the sudden rush of heat flooding her body.

Meanwhile,

Julian remained perfectly calm behind her. He didn't speak, didn't try to move away and simply continued absorbing more of her mana as if nothing was wrong.

The blue glow around his palms remained constant, and Olivia could feel her mana flowing out of her more smoothly now. The sensation traveled through her chest, making her breasts feel strangely warm and sensitive.

She tried to stay composed, but her breathing had grown noticeably shallower.

"Kraven…" she whispered, her voice shaky and barely audible. "Your… your hands…"

She didn't finish the sentence. She didn't know how to. Part of her wanted to tell him to move them back up. Another part... the part that was still telling herself this was purely for his recovery remained silent.

Julian's voice came from behind her, low and tired, but calm.

"Is it uncomfortable?" he asked gently. "If it is, I can try to adjust again."

Olivia hesitated.

The mana flow felt stronger in this position. If she asked him to move his hands back to her shoulders, the transfer would weaken again. She had already committed to helping him. Backing out now would only prolong his suffering.

"…It's fine," she said finally. "Just… continue."

The moment the words left her mouth, she felt a fresh wave of embarrassment wash over her. She was allowing her son's hands to rest on the sides of her breasts while he drew mana from her body.

Julian didn't reply with words. Instead, he continued the transfer in silence.

He could clearly feel the tension in her posture. Her back had stiffened, there was a subtle trembling in her shoulders, and she was tightly gripping the bedsheet as if trying to anchor herself.

That tension made a small smile tug at the corner of his lips. He knew exactly what she was feeling right now.

He could push a little more... maybe slide his hands further around her sides, press closer and test how far she was willing to go for him, but that would be too much for the first time.

It would break the delicate balance they had established.

So he simply kept his hands exactly where they were, not making any further move.

After about ten charged minutes, Julian finally stopped the connection. He had absorbed enough for now.

He slowly withdrew his hands from her back and the glow dimmed until it vanished completely.

phew...

Olivia let out a long, shaky breath as the pulling sensation disappeared. Her shoulders slumped slightly in relief, though she could not control her racing heart.

Julian quickly closed his eyes and turned his attention inward, shutting out everything around him as he focused entirely on his body.

The absorbed mana was already circulating within him, and he began the careful process of consolidating it.

With precise control, he guided Olivia's mana through his damaged meridians. Each pathway inside him felt fragile, some partially fractured, others unstable and on the verge of collapsing. He moved the energy slowly, directing it toward the most severely damaged areas first.

Olivia stayed seated on the edge of the bed with her back to him. She could feel the lingering warmth where his hands had been. The sensation of his fingers resting against the curves of her breasts was still imprinted on her skin.

She closed her eyes for a few seconds, trying to calm the chaotic mix of embarrassment, concern, and something else she refused to name.

After about five minutes, Julian finally opened his eyes.

He saw Olivia still sitting there, turned slightly so she could look at him over her shoulder. Her expression was soft, filled with relief as she observed his improved complexion and the fact that he seemed to be in less pain.

"Thank you, Mother," Julian said sincerely, his voice much steadier than before. "That helped me a lot."

Olivia smiled gently.

"I am glad I could help," she replied softly. "Though I doubt that was enough to heal you completely."

Julian chuckled weakly, the sound still carrying a trace of exhaustion.

"Yes… I would need five more continuous sessions like this for me to heal completely."

The moment the words left his mouth, the atmosphere in the room shifted again.

Olivia's eyes widened slightly.

Five more sessions.

The implication of what that would mean... repeated intimate mana transfers, his hands on her body, the sounds she might make again... hung heavily in the air between them.

She looked away for a moment, her fingers twisting together in her lap.

"Five…" she repeated quietly, almost to herself.

She didn't refuse outright. She didn't say it was impossible. Instead, she sat there in silence, clearly processing the weight of his words.

Julian watched her carefully, his expression calm on the surface while his mind calculated every micro-reaction.

After a long pause, Olivia turned her body slightly more toward him. Her voice was soft, hesitant, but not rejecting.

"If… if it is truly necessary for your recovery," she said carefully, "then we can do it again. But only when you need it. And only until you are healed."

She met his eyes for a brief moment before looking down at her hands.

"I don't want you to suffer, Kraven. Not if I can help."

The room fell into another heavy silence.

Olivia remained seated on the edge of the bed, close enough that Julian could still feel the warmth radiating from her body. Her orange gown was slightly disheveled from the earlier contact, and a faint flush still colored her neck and cheeks.

Julian gave her a small, grateful nod.

"Thank you, Mother. I'll only ask when it's truly needed."

He leaned back against the pillows, watching her with quiet intensity as she sat there, clearly still processing everything that had happened today.

The bond between them had shifted once again.

And both of them knew it.
