“Geko, geko, geko!”
“Xiaolin-san, stay behind me!”
“Y-yeah…!”
Tito and Xiaolin were surrounded by a swarm of frogs.
“Gekogekoooooo!”
The frogs opened their mouths in unison to spit out their poison.
But before they could do so.
“I won’t let you! Claw Flash!”
Tito turned into a flash and ran across the ice.
The monsters that had been hit in their vital points instantly melted into particles of light.
“Geko…! Ge, ge…!”
“Phew. That poison is nasty, but it’s easy if you defeat it before it attacks you!”
Seeing Tito wipe her forehead, Xiaolin stood there in amazement.
“W-wow, I couldn’t see what was going on at all…! Tito-san, you’re too strong…!”
“Hehehe. As my master’s disciple, I’m still very immature…”
Tito shyly blushed at Xiaolin, whose eyes were shining.
At that moment, a blue shadow jumped out of the water.
“Kyuiiiiiiiii!”
It resembled a dolphin with horns, and Tito was dazzled by the sight of it.
“Horned Delphus…!”
“Kyuuiiiiiiiii!”
The dolphin-like creature shot a mass of water from its blue horn.
“Xiaolin-san, watch out!”
“Hyahhh!”
Just after Tito dodged it by holding Xiaolin in her arms, a ball of water shattered their foothold with a “whizzing” sound!
“W-what kind of power is that…?”
Xiaolin turned pale as she saw the thick ice half destroyed by a single blow.
By the time the two of them regrouped, the Horned Delphus had plunged deep into the lake once again.
Xiaolin leaned out of the ice and looked impatient.
“It escaped underwater, so our attack can’t reach it… If that water ball comes at us again, we’ll lose our footing…!”
“It’s okay, as long as we time it right, we’ll make it…! Phew…!”
Tito crossed her arms, braced herself, and exhaled thinly.
In front of her sharp gaze, the horned Delphus leaped into the air again, ready to attack.
“Kyuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
A ball of water gathered in the blue horn──.
“Now! Whirlwind Claw!”
Tito swings both hands out.
A violent gust of wind swirled around, creating a localized tornado.
“Tito-san, you can even create a tornado?”
Gooooooooooo!
The tornado scattered water balls and shot high into the sky, swallowing up the Horned Delphus.
“Kyuuiiiii!”
Tito slashed a claw at the writhing Horned Delphus as it floundered helplessly in the air.
“Fiery Claw!”
A vacuum wave was created, slicing through the monsters far above.
Zubaaaaaaahhh!
“Kyuiiiiiiiii…!”
The Horned Delphus vanished, leaving behind a shrill, fractured scream.
“A-amazing… such a powerful monster so easily…!”
“Phew, I did it! Let’s continue to defeat them!”
As Xiaolin watched Tito defeat the next monster, she put power into the hand that held the hilt.
“Tito-san, you’re amazing! I can’t lose either…”
With twin swords in her hands, she boldly slashed at the frog swarm.
“Hahh!”
“Gugeeeee!”
The frogs were cut to pieces by the twin swords and disappeared with a scream.
“I-I did it! Thanks to Luna-san and Tito-san’s training, I can fight…! I have the power to fight, too…!”
Her heart pounding with excitement, she chewed on the emotion of victory.
At that moment, Xiaolin’s intuition stirred.
“!”
Immediately after she quickly ducked down, a pair of black scissors cut through the space where Xiaolin was.
“Gikiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii…!”
“Black Scissors…!”
What attacked Xiaolin was a huge crustacean the size of a horse-drawn carriage.
Its entire body was covered with a black shell, and instead of arms, it was equipped with sharp scissors.
“Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
The Black Scissors wield two giant scissors.
“Hah!”
Xiaolin swung her sword sharply at the scissors.
But──
Clank!
The twin swords bounced off the hard shell.
“!? The blade won’t go through…?”
“Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
Tito immediately rushed to Xiaolin’s side, who had dodged the scissors and stepped back.
“Xiaolin-san, please retreat! This shell seems to be very hard; I’ll take it down!”
But Xiaolin shook her head with strong eyes.

The monster lunged forward, swinging his scissors.
Xiaolin kicked the ground towards the monster and jumped.
“Now! Hyaaaahhhh!”
With all her weight on the ground, she swung her twin swords down with all her might.
Zubaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
“Gigiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
The accelerated blade sliced through the solid carapace.
“I-I did it!”
But the overly sharp slash hit the ice, cutting Xiaolin’s foothold in half.
“Ahh…! Kyaaaaaaah!”
“Xiaolin-san!”
Tito grabbed Xiaolin, who was about to lose her footing, and fall into the lake, and lifted her up.
She chose a safe patch of ice and landed flat on her feet.
“T-thank you, Tito-san… Kyaa!”
Before Xiaolin could thank him, Tito hugged her tightly.
“Xiaolin-san, you’re amazing… I’m so proud of you; you’re so hardworking and brave! Not only can you cut through those tough-looking monsters, but you’ve become so strong that you can even cut through thick ice! But, but you can also count on me sometimes!”
“Fufu, Tito-san, it tickles me.”
Xiaolin smiled happily as she was cuddled and her hair stroked.
Lexia and Luna, who had just finished another swarm, also rushed over with smiles on their faces.
“I was so surprised! Xiaolin-sama, you’re getting too strong!”

Luna released a string towards the orb.
The sharp strings rushed towards the orb, trying to cut it into pieces! But it bounced off.
“Lu-Luna’s string doesn’t work!”
“I knew it. This barrier can only be broken with dragon power.”
“The emperor said, ‘If you get the mirror fragment, the next trial will be revealed…'”
As a test, Xiaolin lifted the entire barrier surrounding the fragment, but there was no change.
“After all, it doesn’t look like we’re going to ‘get it’ if we continue like this…”
