Prologue
“Hmm, is there anyone out there in need?”
Under the blue sky, Lexia looked out over the wide streets of the city, her blonde hair fluttering in the air.
A few days ago, Lexia and the others who had saved the Lianxi Empire by defeating the dreaded “Seven Deadly Sins” along with Xiaolin, the princess of the Lianxi Empire, were heading south along the road.
As Lexia looked around, a silver-haired girl named Luna opened her mouth in dismay.
“If this is about helping people, we’ve done it before, haven’t we? Carrying the luggage of a limping lady, rescuing a wagon stuck in a ditch, rescuing a child kidnapped by a monster and returning the child to the mother, and so on…”
She has calm blue eyes and silky, shimmering silver threads in her hair. Her slender yet beautifully toned body is reminiscent of a sharpened knife.
Despite her dainty appearance, Luna was once a skilled assassin known in the underworld as a headhunter.
Her favorite weapon, the string, is not only sharp but also versatile, capable of lifting even a carriage, depending on how it is used. However, it is so difficult to use that it is impossible for ordinary people to even move it as they wish.
To Luna’s words, Tito, the beastman girl walking beside her, counted on her fingers and added.
“We also dug wells in areas where the water had dried up, and we destroyed bandits who were causing trouble for the villagers!”
Her big golden eyes fluttered amiably, and small fangs peeked out from her cherry-red lips. Her pure white hair was covered with big cat ears, and her pure white tail swayed behind her.
Tito, a rare white cat beastman, is also a disciple of the Claw Saint, one of the strongest in the world. Originally strong and renowned for her strength, Tito has grown both mentally and physically through her journey with Lexia and Luna and is now an indispensable member of their journey.
The three of them have done many great things on the road beyond helping others, but Lexia is not satisfied with their accomplishments.
“Of course those things are important, but I want to do something that only we can do. Save the country, save the world!”
She has gorgeous blonde hair that looks like it was cut out of the sunlight and skin as white and translucent as porcelain. She is so beautiful that ten out of ten people on the street look at her, and she can be described as an exquisite beauty.
Her figure, as she walked down the street in high spirits, was full of elegance that could not be suppressed in her strength and vitality.
It is no wonder, then, that Lexia is the first princess of the Kingdom of Arcelia─a true princess.
There was a reason why Lexia left the royal castle and traveled far from her homeland to help others.
“I want to accomplish more and more things that will benefit the world! Otherwise, I wouldn’t be a lady worthy of Yuuya-sama!”
Lexia is a fearless tomboy princess who adores the strongest and peerless boy, Yuuya Tenjou, who has saved this world from danger many times and achieved numerous feats of bravery, and she left her country to be as close to him as possible.
Tito rolled her eyes at Lexia’s bold statement.
“D-do you want more…? I think you’ve done enough already…!”
“Besides, how can there be so much danger to the country and the world? Things have been crazy so far.”
As Tito and Luna said, the three of them had saved three countries in a row on this journey that had started with Lexia’s idea.
But Lexia shook her head and crossed her arms.
“No, I’m not good enough to be a suitable companion for Yuuya-sama! I need to save a world or two!”
“That Yuuya-sama must really be an amazing person…!”
“Well, when you meet him, you’ll see that everything is out of the ordinary. And since he is unaware of it… his very existence is outrageous.”
“T-That much…?”
Luna, who serves as Lexia’s companion and helper, shrugs her shoulders and says, “Good grief!”
“More importantly, Lexia. As you can see, it’s time to return to the Kingdom of Arcelia, or you’ll be in trouble. Your official duties have been delayed, haven’t they?”
Then Lexia puffed out her cheeks, “Mmm…!”
“Why are you talking about official duties? I don’t want to hear such boring talk!”
“Boring, you say… Well, I can’t even begin to imagine how enormous and hectic the duties of the royal family are… but I’m sure the papers are piling up on your desk even as we speak.”
“I told you, I don’t want to hear it! Why are you bullying me like this?”
“It’s not bullying, it’s just a warning.”
After Luna sighs, Tito interjects with concern.
“B-but it might be true that it would be better to go back at least once… It has been quite a while since you started your journey, and both Lexia-san’s father and the knight who accompanied him were very worried about you.”
The group had an unexpected encounter with Lexia’s father, King Arnold, and his bodyguard, Owen, in the Lianxi Empire they had visited the other day. It was pathetic to see those who adored or worried about Lexia, so distraught that they did not care what others thought.
Lexia turned her mouth into a pout and said, “Mmm!” Her expression suddenly softened.
“…Yes, I get it.”
“Hmm? If that’s the case, then we should turn to Arcelia immediately and…”
Luna tried to correct the course before Lexia changed her mind.
But Lexia’s jade green eyes sparkled and she announced in high spirits.
“The next destination is the southern island!”
“E-eehhhhh? I-I thought you were going back to your own country now…”
“What are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“Isn’t it okay to stretch my wings a bit, I have a mountain of official work waiting for me when I get back home! Don’t you feel pity for me?”
“No, I think you totally deserve it…”
Lexia, passing through Luna’s half-open eyes with a flourish, raises her hands to the sky.
“Actually, I’ve always wanted to visit the southern islands! Blue ocean, white sandy beaches, dazzling sun! Wouldn’t it be the perfect honeymoon destination for Yuuya-sama and me?”
“Sigh, goodness… You should tell her as well, Tito.”
But Tito bites back with a twinkle in her eye.
“I agree, Lexia-san!”
“Tito!”
“If we want to play in the sea, we have to buy swimsuits! And we also need swimming rings!”
“Right, right! Tito, you know exactly what to do!”
“What’s wrong with you, Tito?”
Tito’s cheeks flushed with excitement and her big cat ears twitched.
“Actually, I once read a picture book about the southern islands. I’ve been longing to visit them ever since…! When I heard Lexia-san’s story, it made me want to go there so much!”
“I know, right? I want to go there at least once in my life! So we have decided on the southern islands as our next destination!”
“Wait, I don’t know what will happen if we worry King Arnold and Owen any more! I still think we should go back to the Kingdom of Arcelia…”
When Luna tried to stop her, Lexia tilted her head.
“Ara, then you don’t have to go to the southern island, do you? I’ve been looking forward to seeing the potential honeymoon spot with Yuuya-sama.”
“Ugh, t-that’s…!”
“It will be fun to spend time with Yuuya-sama on an island full of nature. We’ll have lots of practice, splashing in the beautiful sea, drinking fruit juice together on the beach…!”
“Ugh…! I-I’m with Yuuya…!”
Luna’s cheeks were blushing and she hesitated but finally let out a sigh.
“…Sigh, it can’t be helped. We’ll go home when you’re satisfied, promise me.”
“Yay! Thank you, Luna!”
“But this time, don’t reveal your true identity. It will cause us a lot of trouble.”
“I understand! If we go to the coastal city, there should be a boat to Tropical Islands!”
“Wait. But first, you have to write a letter to King Arcelia…”
“In order to have a relaxing time with Yuuya-sama, I would like to go to an island with as few tourists and as much nature as possible! Once that’s decided, we’ll go to the southern island!”
“Hey, are you listening to me? Hey, Lexia! Write the letter first!”
“Awawawa, please wait!”
Thus, Lexia and the others set course for the southern island, heading for the port city.
